My new husband and I just had our wedding reception at Orienta on Saturday. We still cannot stop smiling! The day was more perfect than we could have hoped for. Orienta is a gorgeous venue. Our cocktail hour was on the back patio, and guests looked out on a beautiful view of the Sound. We took photos out by the water and on the dock. We got lucky with the weather, but I can honestly say that this venue would be spectacular even in a hurricane. The reception indoors was so romantic, with dim lighting and candles flickering against the stone and dark wood. The dance floor was a perfect size to keep all our guests dancing all night (and we had almost 200!) Mark Sheehan, the wedding coordinator, did an incredible job setting up our photo displays and any other props that we gave him ahead of time. He got the ambiance just right! The service was incredible. There were so many waiters and bartenders, all so quick to ask guests if they needed anything. The food really exceeded my expectations. Guests commented that they had never seen so much food at a cocktail hour, between the passed appetizers, paella, and carving stations. The main course was delicious! I had the red snapper with avocado, corn relish, and hominy cake and my husband had the filet mignon. Mark made sure we got to sit down and eat! We brought in our own cookies for desert and Orienta supplied chocolate profiteroles that paired well. Guests danced all night. I really can't thank Mark enough for making our wedding day so special. I did not have to worry about a thing, and my new husband and I just enjoyed ourselves. Mark went out of his way throughout the planning process to give us gentle advice, make sure we felt comfortable with all the choices we made, and to keep us at ease. He even picked up place cards and favors from my house the day before the wedding, because he was in the area and offered to make life easier for us! This place is an absolute hidden gem. Orienta was a beautiful location for wedding especially if you want to have your ceremony outside. The food was also amazing!

One of Westchester's best kept secrets as far as wedding venues is concerned- we only found out about Orienta when a coworker who had been a member told me about it. Excellent venue with a terrace and dining room offering great views of LI Sound. Mansion that houses the club is elegant, interior has beautiful stonework and woodwork.

Food quality is exceptional, with creative takes on traditional dishes. Guests were still commenting on presentation, quality, and quantity over Christmas (around which time I'm posting) even though this was 4 months after the wedding.

We really liked how private our wedding felt, as they only host one wedding at a time and we basically had the whole house to ourselves.

Staff extremely attentive to bridal party and guests-they thought of everything. For example, it was a hot day and we were dressing there, staff put AC on the max hours in advance so we would be comfortable and even made sandwiches and drinks for us as we got ready.

General manager Mark is a pleasure to deal with. He worked with us on every detail and was very accommodating. He is a consummate event coordinator and made the event run very smoothly.

We thought Orienta was a good value - charges as much as wedding factories but offers a much better experience.

Orienta Beach Club, a mansion situated right on the beach in Mamaroneck, is a lovely setting for a wedding, with a patio facing the water, a long wooden dock extending out into the water, and a spreading sycamore tree, all great for photos. My daughter's wedding, held in May of 2012, was, according to guests, the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended.
Cathy Conway, the dinner manager, was a pleasure to work with in planning the wedding. She respected our budget, gave advice when it was needed, and tried to help my daughter have the wedding of her dreams.
The chef, kitchen crew, and servers, did an amazing job, with an beautiful and delicious appetizer display and many dinner choices, to meet the needs of our guests, both carnivores and vegetarians. The guests all raved about the food.
