It’s going to be hard to describe just how amazing Kate is but I’m going to try! I found Kate by scrolling through instagram accounts that had been given photo credit on my venue’s instagram page. As soon as I saw her account and her website I knew that her style would be perfect for us. Every photo is so vibrant and colorful and full of joy. My husband and I love color and we were planning for a very colorful wedding and knew this was exactly the vibe that we wanted. And then we learned that she’s the absolute sweetest person ever. She truly loves what she does and her energy and excitement shine through to everyone she’s photographing. Kate and Kiera captured every detail of our day without feeling at all intrusive on any important moments. I have photos of us from the ceremony and zero recollection of their presence there. Four days after the wedding she sent me 259 photos as a “sneak peek”. And I mean seriously, they’re freaking incredible.

5 stars isn't enough! Opal & Jaye were absolutely wonderful to work with and I feel like they have gone above and beyond for us. I think I initially found them by accident on Instagram. I knew after viewing their galleries that their work was beautiful. Kate was already fully booked up for 2022 by the time I got in touch with her but she assured me that her other team photographers would take care of us. I did a zoom meeting with Kate and my lead photographer, Simmone. They were both super sweet and afterwards I felt really good to be working with both of them. They kept in touch and were very responsive to me with all my planning questions. The engagement shoot photos turned out absolutely amazing. We had a lot of fun walking around Asbury Park with Simmone and she captured the best shots, even on a frigid day. Kate has to be one of the most dedicated and hardest workers. Her attention to detail and responsive should be noted. The level of detail on the wedding day timeline was unbelievable but made a huge difference with the flow of the day as we knew what to expect next and everything ran smoothly. The day of the wedding, Simmone and 2nd photographer Kelly, did a wonderful job wrangling my bridal party (and pups!). My sister wanted me to say how much Simmone was the most calming presence that day, which she absolutely was. I so appreciated her sweet demeanor in helping us through a couple of stressful moments. Once we got to the cocktail hour/reception everything all just kind of blended into the background as we enjoyed ourselves as they were able to capture our friends/family. I was stunned at how fast we got back the sneak peak photos and overjoyed at how beautiful everything turned out. Simmone and Kelly killed it and I will treasure these photos forever. I cannot say enough good things about these ladies. You will not regret hiring them to capture your special day.

I am SO happy that we booked Kate & her colleagues at Opal & Jaye. They were professional from Day 1 (which was a zoom interview), sent us so much work to look at, had so many great suggestions, and we loved our engagement shoot. The day-of was a dream due to their extremely thorough and detail-oriented timeline. My husband and I are each one of 5 (and he has over 35 first cousins) so wrangling everyone for photos was like herding cats, and the team was so calm and professional and helped us get it done very quickly so we could move onto food and dancing. The edit of the photos is incredible - everything POPS and is vibrant. We wanted colors to be lush and not muted, and that's exactly what we got. Cannot recommend this company enough!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Kate and her team - they were amazing to work with! from start to finish, Kate was super response and made the day go by so smoothly. With a large bridal party of 12 bridesmaids, 12 groomsman, & multiple other people, Kate & had team were so organized & had us running on schedule to make cocktail hour. I received my sneak peeks in TWO DAYS & every photo was beautiful. Go book them!

I cannot tell you how thankful I am that I hired Kate from Opal & Jaye Photography as my photographer. My husband and I are not the most photogenic people and are not comfortable taking pictures at all. We were so nervous that all of our pictures were going to look awkward! Kate has such a way about her that makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I was so excited to have her there with us during our wedding day, just because I knew she would make us feel at ease and I had total confidence in her ability to make us look amazing. Wow! Where do I begin? Opal and Jaye was a dream to work with from day one. From the moment we engaged with Kate she was sweet, welcoming, easy to work with and quick to respond to our emails. She even sent us a personalized welcome gift box! We had so much fun on our engagement shoots (note: Kate insisted we have a second shoot because our first was cut a little short due to rain…great service!). Kate made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and the photos capture us as US. On our wedding day, Kate showed up with her team (thank you Brit and Kelly!) on time (even a bit early!) and the whole day was so well orchestrated without it ever feeling disruptive with photos. We had so much fun taking photos, and the Opal and Jaye team made us feel like celebrities. They genuinely were the best hype women all day, and helped us feel calm and comfortable. Kate turned a sneak peek around in less than 24 hours after our wedding with more photos to follow a few days later. This was AWESOME because it was so nice to share professional photos with friends and family immediately after the wedding. Opal and Jaye captured the pure joy on our faces throughout the day. The photos make us SO happy, and we can’t wait for our full gallery soon.

Opal and Jaye photography went out of their way to meet up with us and get to know us before we went ahead and booked them for our event. They then sent an email surbey that we had a blast doing as a couple, just to get to know us better. During the week of the event we had to make changes and they didn't even bat an eye.
