If you're considering hiring Kathleen and Oak & Ivy Events for your wedding, do it. I can honestly say our wedding day would not have been the same without her. From the very beginning of the planning process, Kathleen invested so much time, care, and effort into making us feel confident, supported, and genuinely excited. She took the time to get to know us, listened carefully to what we envisioned, and then brought that vision to life in a way that exceeded our expectations. She cared about the little details that made our wedding personal, and even surprised us with thoughtful gifts that reflected our story as a couple. Those unexpected gestures meant so much to both my husband and me.

The month leading up to the wedding was one of the biggest reliefs she provided - she completely took over communication with our vendors, coordinated with the venue, managed deliveries, timelines, and logistics, and made sure every moving piece was accounted for. Knowing that someone so capable was handling everything allowed us to actually enjoy the weeks before our wedding instead of feeling overwhelmed. By the time the day arrived, we felt completely at ease because we knew Kathleen had everything under control. It's a bit difficult for me to hand over that kind of control, but I'm so glad I did. I knew I could trust her with our big day!

On the wedding day itself, she was nothing short of incredible. She handed cards out to our wedding party with her contact information so that if anyone needed anything, they were to go directly to her instead of us. My husband and I never had to answer questions, solve problems, or worry about what was happening next. Kathleen quietly handled everything behind the scenes while making it all look effortless. I barely saw her because she was constantly working, coordinating vendors, checking details, keeping everyone on schedule, and making sure everything flowed exactly as planned. Yet somehow, every time I needed her, she appeared immediately. It honestly felt like magic!

We even had an unexpected transportation issue the morning of the wedding, and I didn't have to think about it for a second. While I was getting ready, Kathleen communicated with everyone involved, adjusted the timeline, kept everyone informed, and made sure the day continued without a single noticeable hiccup. That level of professionalism and quick thinking is invaluable, and because of her, our day remained completely stress-free.

When we walked into our reception, I couldn't believe how beautiful everything looked. Every table, centerpiece, favor display, candle, our sweetheart table, the memorial table honoring our mothers, the cake presentation, and every thoughtful detail was exactly as I had imagined. It was clear how much work had gone into making everything perfect. We had around 80 guests, and Kathleen managed the entire event herself while also coordinating seamlessly with every vendor. She was warm, professional, organized, and handled every interaction with such grace, even navigating a few difficult guest situations I didn't know about until later.

Since our wedding, we've received so many compliments from our guests about how smoothly everything ran and how much fun they had. Multiple people specifically commented on how impressive Kathleen was and how well she managed the entire day!

Kathleen is incredibly hardworking, detail-oriented, organized, and experienced. She's quick to solve problems, communicates clearly, and somehow manages to feel like both a trusted professional and a friend who genuinely wants your day to be everything you've dreamed of. She knows exactly what needs to happen, when it needs to happen, and she makes it all feel effortless.

We are endlessly grateful for everything Kathleen did for us. Hire this wedding wizard!

Kathleen is amazing at planning any event, but she excelled at helping with my wedding in 2022! She listened to my ideas and helped me formulate a plan and a color scheme based off of my vision! Not to mention, you would have the most kind and endearing planner, EVER! I would hire her for any event I have in the future !

Great Planner and even better Communicator!

My now-husband and I decided to get married 4 months after we got engaged. None of it would've been possible without Kathleen! She was always prepared and knew the right questions to ask and the timeline we needed to stick to in order to have everything just right for our big day!

She was so helpful on our wedding day from coordinating our families and keeping us all on time to keeping me calm! We can't recommend her services enough!

Amazing Day of Coordinator! 🤍

We were so lucky to have Kathleen as our day-of coordinator! From the moment she arrived at our venue, she introduced herself with such warmth and instantly made us feel comfortable. She took the time to ask about our biggest stressors and priorities for the day, which showed how much she genuinely cared about making everything run smoothly.

Kathleen went above and beyond for us! Anything we asked for, she was right on it. She was incredibly organized, calm, and efficient, which made such a difference for such a big day. I can’t recommend her enough — she truly made our wedding day stress-free and seamless!

Highly Recommend Kathleen!

My husband and I had Kathleen as a day-of coordinator at our wedding, and she went above and beyond what was asked of her. Even after just having a baby, she was always easy to reach and it never felt like she was rushing through our conversations. She was open to everything we wanted to do, and was helpful in offering suggestions or other ideas we hadn't thought of yet. She communicated with our vendors ahead of time to make sure everything was ready and was helpful every step of the way on our wedding day. She even shooed me away from helping beforehand, made sure we ate something before the ceremony and during the reception, and ensured I had everything I needed to feel relaxed.
