Hi! I'm a lifelong musician, a professional educator, an avid audiophile, and the founder of Northern Lights and Music. After over a decade of managing venues and curating events, including countless weddings, I transitioned to DJing in 2022 and I absolutely love it. I bring a wide set of skills from my experience as an event partner, and I would love to help support your special day!

As a DJ, I'm easy to work with: I will make time for multiple touch points with you before your event, I'm flexible with all levels of input as we collaborate, and I've become a seasoned navigator of inevitable night-of variables. My experience in event production and venue management makes me a great partner: I ask important questions not all couples or vendors think of.

I have plenty of established crates to crack and shuffle for diverse dinner and cocktail hour vibes, and I'm always open for new directions. On the dance floor, I tend to lead with lots of timeless music, and transition across a lot of fun, fresh sets from different genres. In my personal life, I listen to a hard to believe amount of music from across generations, and all over the world. But, my clients and their families always come first: weddings bring the most important people from cross your life into one incredible night, and I love being present to build the soundtrack for it. I'm frequently being complimented on my music choices and consider my approach to be experienced but always fresh.

In addition to having an informal lifelong affair with music, I'm a graduate of Slam Academy's Sound Design Levels One and Two, Vocal Production, DJ Technics and Ableton Live Levels One and Two classes.

I'm also a middle school teacher in Oakland, CA. I love being a part of the next generation's path forward. During the school year, I typically only take weddings on Saturdays, and may need to take time off to accept an event on a schoolnight. Lastly, I've been married for sixteen years myself, I absolutely loved my wedding day, and full disclosure: I still cry and lot of special moments.
