About
North Point Brass was founded in 2013 as a ceremonial brass quintet by some of the top brass players from the Milwaukee and Chicago area. Our members have performed with the New York Philharmonic, Arkansas Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Green Bay Symphony, Festival City Symphony, Racine Symphony, Kenosha Symphony and Madison Symphony.
In additional to maintaining busy performance schedules covering classical, jazz, Latin and Broadway styles, we are involved in music education; both through curricular and extra-curricular school programs and through private lesson instruction at Lakeland College, Milwaukee Conservatory of Music, Brass Bell Music Store, Melk Music, J.S. Cable Music Studio and White House of Music.
Our performances have brought us to many churches including The Basilica of St. Josaphat, The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary, Gesu Parish, All Saints Cathedral, and many universities including University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, St. Norbert College, Wisconsin Lutheran College, Mount Mary College, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Alverno College and Concordia University.
The North Point Brass quintet repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, Broadway, Patriotic, holiday and sacred music that reflect both the versatility of our players and the many directions that brass quintet music reaches. While most of the best repertoire exists for a full quintet, it is possible to hire a smaller ensemble within our group. We frequently collaborate with piano, organ, choirs, etc. We can be reached via email to NorthPointBrassQuintet@gmail.com.
