The NoRa Cupcake Company (and now ice cream) is a Middletown, CT favorite for good reason: their ever-changing, decadent, and creative cupcake menus are unlike anything offered in more traditional (and manufactured) establishments. Wedding planning with them was easy, fun, and well-priced. We took their package that included a cutting cake (chocolate-raspberry—-yum) designed to our specifications. The package also included several dozen mini-cupcakes. Rather than a traditional tasting, I just brought home two cupcakes a week for like a year—-and we still did not taste them all. And what happened on the BIG DAY??? Well let me tell you, at the wedding, guests were “stealing” the cupcakes before dessert even started!!! And the cake-cutting lasted SOOO long because we kept asking each other for more tastes!!!! We left our wedding with big cupcake smiles on our faces!!!! Thank you NORAs!!!! We will be back soon!!!

We were so happy with the flexibility and service NoRa offered us! Originally we had decided on a different baker, but were disappointed to find out that they only offered gluten free, but not vegan cupcakes, and wouldn't accommodate our request for a rainbow cake (because they didn't like how the food coloring looked with their recipe). NoRa really saved the day with their delicious gluten free and vegan cupcakes, and their beautiful rainbow cake that made our cake cutting extra special! Not to mention they were willing to deliver the cake to the venue for a small fee, unlike the other baker. NoRa is very professional, and able to provide fun and delicious desserts according to your vision. We were very happy!

Do not hesitate on picking noras! Not only do they have the most delicious cupcakes in the state (trust me, I’ve tried them all) they also look incredible and the cake they created for us was exactly what we had pictured! We wanted a “naked” style and what they delivered to us was absolutely beautiful (and incredibly delicious!)

At first my now husband and I weren't sure we were going to have a wedding cake: we had s'mores and an ice cream truck coming and didn't want to go overboard with dessert! Then we received a cake-cutting set from my mother for Christmas and we knew we had to include this tradition. My husband had worked in Middletown for a few years and we knew that NoRA cupcakes looked fun and tasted delicious. Their Instagram showed off some gorgeous cakes and we knew they were the right choice. Our hope was to cut the cake and bring it home for a brunch the next morning so we were looking for lighter flavors, potentially fruity where people wouldn't mind eating it for "breakfast." We looked through their cake menu one day and when we got to the bottom we found Strawberries n' Cream...done! It was super easy to place an order online with Heather for a two-tier cake, then pay in two installments in the store (and buy some cupcakes while we were there). The day of, I remember finishing our first dance and going over to the sweetheart table to get ready for dinner: the cake table was right next to us and we were blown away with how amazing it looked! When it came time to actually eat some, it tasted even better. It made it home and our families loved it at the brunch too. We are so excited to start a new tradition of getting a Strawberries n' Cream cupcake to celebrate every anniversary!

We chose to have the mini cupcakes and they were amazing. We got to have 6 flavors and then we had a small cake on top for our cake cutting! Every cupcake was delicious and the setup they provided was fantastic too!

We worked with both Kim and Heather while planning our wedding and it was such an amazing experience! I had known since before I even started dating my husband that I wanted NoRA to do the cupcakes for my wedding. They are super communicative and responsive, and gave us some helpful advice on narrowing down their many flavor options. My mother and one of the groomsmen are celiacs and they were great about working with us to ensure there was no cross contamination in baking, delivery, and set up. We decided to do mini cupcakes to allow guests to sample more options and also not leave half eaten cupcakes all around the room - along with a 6" cut cake for ourselves, which was so decadent and rich! We had a tasting meeting, and because NoRA is a full time bakery we of course have conducted our own taste testing throughout the years. Everyone loved the cupcakes and I would highly recommend booking them for a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, etc. They provided delivery for an extra fee (considering the venue is an hour and a half from the bakery it was extremely reasonable) and setup and take down is all included, even the platforms and signs for the cupcake flavors. They are super professional and most important, delicious!

We had NoRa's cupcakes at our wedding through the CT wedding Group and they were amazing! We occasionally would drive up and get cupcakes to sample because picking the flavors of cupcakes was probably the hardest part of wedding planning! So many fun and delicious flavors, I know we really couldn't go wrong! We ended up with Bourbon Apple Crumble, Road Jam, Samoa, Reese's Peanut butter Cheesecake, Irish Car Bomb and Gluten Free 50 Shades of Chocolate. Our cake that we cut was AMAZING! We did Cinnamon Toast Crunch (without the cereal on top). It was beautifully decorated and had sparkles on it...we just loved it!

We are so glad we picked NoRa for our wedding in May, the cupcakes were a huge hit! We worked with Kim throughout the entire process. She was so helpful, always available to answer any questions and gave us great recommendations when we were stumped on picking cupcakes from all of their amazing flavors. We chose to have mini cupcakes and a cut cake, but it was great that there were others like having full size cupcakes or a truck if we wanted. We were even able to offer gluten free cupcakes which were just as delicious as the others. We already can’t wait until our first anniversary to be able to eat more of the delicious cake! We’d highly recommend NoRa and will certainly be visiting their shop again in the very near future!

Kim was a fantastic contact at NoRA! We were particularly interested in their company because they offered vegan options. And all the flavors we chose tasted wonderful (lavender early grey, double chocolate, grasshopper, lemon curd, blueberry lemonade, and cookie dough). All our guests (both vegan and non vegan) loved them! Kim was super punctual and responsive, set up the cupcake display beautifully, and just did a great job of communicating throughout the process. I'd recommend them any day!

We worked with both Carrie and Kim to book the Lil' Truck for our wedding and both were responsive, helpful, and accommodating (we were booking from Boston and had small bits of time in CT to stop in for tastings, meetings, etc.). They were professional, prompt, and very organized when working through the details and timeline. The night of, they arrived early and quickly had everything set up and ready to go. The attendant was personable and friendly and the cupcakes got RAVE reviews from my guests. We're still rationing out some of the remaining ones that we froze to enjoy for the next couple weeks. You really can't go wrong booking these delicious treats : )
