From our engagement photo session to our wedding day, Nick was fantastic! My fiancé HATES taking photos, and Nick made the process a breeze. During our engagement session, Nick walked us around Downtown Charleston, and it was just like we were talking with an old friend while getting pictures taken. It was so refreshing!
After finding Nick on a limb, via Instagram, I was hooked. He had shot at our venue with another couple, and the pictures I viewed from his galleries were STUNNING. On our wedding day, he made the photo process so seamless, he was well organized and had everyone where and when they needed to be shot, in their spots. It made the day so enjoyable for us and we actually got to enjoy time with our friends and family. I can't wait to get our photos back and see the amazing pictures Nick took! Thank you again Nick!

From our engagement photos through our reception, Nicholas was able to truly capture not only the love David and I have for each other, but our playful personalities.
Our hope for our destination wedding was for our family and friends to see that love while enjoying themselves in a laid-back, fun atmosphere. Nicholas also was able to capture all the perfect moments from our special day from getting ready with our bridal party to the dance party that ended the night.

Nick and Cushla were so wonderful to work with and truly put so much effort into every shot and couldn’t imagine working with anyone else for our special day. I’ve only seen a few of the sneak peaks and they were absolutely gorgeous!! They worked so well with our videographer and other vendors to make sure everything turned out perfect. Nick is the best photographer ever- will never use anyone else again. I always feel I look terrible in wedding photos, and I loved every single photo Nick took of us. He truly has such a gift. Nick and his wife travelled to Washington DC for our cherry blossom engagement shoot, and of course did our wedding day as well. So excited to get our wedding day photos back - but will post a few photos from our engagement shoot that obviously speak for themselves. You will not find anyone better than him so honestly don’t even try.

Nicholas Gore Photography is absolutely AMAZING!! I found him after a lot of researching. With our wedding being an after dark event, I was being very particular with whom we chose. I know after dark photos can be very challenging to get the right lighting and I doubt everyone can do them. Without a doubt, Nicholas and his team nailed it! We are so in love with our photos and completely blown away with how they turned out. He is so artistic and creative, and you can tell he is very passionate about photography and it definitely shows in his work. Nicholas captured every single moment and detail of our big day. Not only did we love his nighttime photography, but he did a fantastic job catching fun candid shots.

We had the pleasure of spending several days with Nick and Cushla because they came to Jamaica with us for our wedding! I can't put into words how lucky we feel that they came with us. Nick and Cushla are not only amazing at what they do, but they are simply amazing human beings. We were in a unique situation and didn't actually get to meet Nick and Cushla in person before the trip but they immediately fit in like they were a part of our group! We had such a blast getting to know them. They shot every aspect of our wedding weekend.... our "Welcome Dinner", a Catamaran boat ride, and our entire wedding day. They captured moments so vividly that looking back at our photos makes us feel like we are in that moment again. They are so incredibly talented. Thanks again, Nick and Cushla, for traveling to another country, surviving jellyfish stings, and delivering photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Nick Gore and his wife (second shooter) were an absolute dream team to work with! He came with high praise from our wedding planner so we booked his services before we even chose our venue! They were professional, punctual, there (but not there, what you want in a photographer) and were somehow able to capture every single highlight of the busy night (and we had A LOT going on). If you're considering, I would say BOOK NOW, Nick is too good to pass up and was at the top of our list of vendors we were most happy to work with for our wedding.

I can't recommend Nick enough. I knew the minute I saw his instagram and website that he was the one I wanted for our wedding. He and his wife Cushla are an absolute blast to work with, made us feel so comfortable and had us laughing the whole time! Our experience with Nicholas Gore Weddings was remarkable! Jeff and I got married at the Restoration Hotel in Charleston in May. Nick and Cushla captured every moment of the occasion perfectly. It was unusually hot outside for May, and I was worried we wouldn't be able to get any of the classic outdoor Charleston shots without roasting. Not the case! They had great ideas to get us out and photographed quickly but without sacrificing an ounce of quality. N and C are fun and relaxed but also professional, and have the BEST sense of humor. When we received the photos we were amazed at how accurately they portrayed the essence of the day - love, fun, laughter, and beauty. The images are stunning. We are so grateful for everything they added to this special time in our lives.

When my SO and I got engaged, we planned our wedding date around three things: a full moon, high tide, and Nick’s availability. I’d spent several summers assisting local wedding photographers and getting to know the Charleston photo scene, and Nick’s particular blend of technical expertise, creativity, professionalism, and fun always stood out.

Even with our high expectations, we were BLOWN AWAY by our wedding photos, and how darn FUN Nick and his wife, Cushla, made the experience for a bunch of camera-shy introverts. If you’re searching through the many wedding photographers in Charleston (or beyond!), here are a few things that set Nicholas Gore Weddings apart:

1. Nick and Cushla’s portraits - and knack for composition in general - are incredible. In our photos, they not only captured everyone at their best, but used their eye for movement to visualize the sweeping joy we felt, from the wide shots, to the intimate portraits, to their many candids.
2. Nick’s a lighting wizard. Natural light, portable studio lights in softboxes, flash – he’s a master of them all. There are a lot of photographers who make great daytime portraits, but few capture the rest of the wedding with equal skill and beauty, especially from a lighting standpoint. Whether your reception is in a dark hall, or somewhere with a crazy mix of colors and light sources (like our oak-canopied and café-lit evening), you can rest assured that everything from sunset glamour shots, to late nights on the dance floor are beautifully and accurately represented. 3. Nick is SO fast! Big group photos fly by thanks to his expertise, and he can weave through a reception (and a dance floor) like nobody’s business. Plus, he will send you GREAT shots of your groups – not an overwhelming stack of various people blinking or looking away.
4. Last, but certainly not least, Nick and Cushla are insanely fun. You will spend most of your day with your photographers, and it’s a true joy to spend it with people as sweet, witty, and relaxed as N&C. The tone they set was reflected in our photos and in our happy memories, and at least a dozen members of our family and bridal party approached us to say the same.

In short, I cannot recommend Nick and Cushla more highly, and feel so honored to have their stunning work as the document of our wedding day for the years to come.
