The National Steeplechase Museum is a wedding venue located in the heart of Camden, South Carolina, the state’s oldest inland town. This unique venue is the only museum in the United States that is dedicated solely to highlighting the history and legacy of steeplechasing. The museum traces the sport’s origins in the British Isles to the present day and pays homage to its great athletes, both equine and human. Facilities and Capacity

The National Steeplechase Museum is situated on 450 acres and can accommodate up to 150 people. The quaint estate offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception sites, including on the lawns in front of the racecourse. The main room of the building features large windows, through which natural light bathes the hardwood floors. This banquet hall can be customized for ceremonies or receptions. Between vows and toasts, guests can head out onto the terrace for the cocktail hour. A striped awning spreads over this brick patio and shades wedding goers from inclement weather. From here, friends and family will be able to take in the breathtaking views of the racetrack. Tents can also be erected below the terrace for outdoor receptions. On warm summer nights, you can dine and dance late into the night underneath the picturesque skyline.

The National Steeplechase Museum can be rented for half-day weddings of six hours or full-day affairs of 12 hours. This booking comes with access to the grounds and building for the duration of your celebration. Comprehensive wedding packages are designed to make your event easy and stress-free. They include 12 five-foot round tables, 10 2.5-foot cocktail tables, four six-foot rectangular tables, and a catering prep kitchen. In addition, the venue provides an on-site coordinator who will oversee the big day. A list of preferred vendors, such as local caterers, bartending services, entertainers, and event rental companies, is also available.
