I have mixed feelings about Mr. Video. Their service before pickup was great and arranging the rental was easy. However, on the day of pickup, they called an hour before my pickup time to tell me that I would have to wait an additional 5 hours to pick up my speaker equipment, or travel to their Silver Spring, Maryland location. This added a lot of hassle to my day and fighting Maryland rush-hour traffic left me with a 3 hour drive back to my wedding site, missing the beginning of my rehearsal dinner. On top of this, they bothered us on our honeymoon to inform us our rental was late being returned, even though it wasn't. I cannot fault the equipment or prices, but their lack of organization caused us a lot of headaches.

Mr Video is Parent company of AA Rentals. Requested a quote from AA Rentals for a Sony f/2.8 24-70mm Grandmaster OSS lens for a 4 day rental. Was quoted $95, when I asked what time I could pick it up tomorrow they said they are closed and I have to pick it up by 3pm that day. I'm at work and don't get off in time so I informed them my girlfriend or room mate would go to pick it up. They said that's fine as long as they use their credit card and sign for it. 5 mins later they informed me they now close at 2:45 instead of 3 (when the website says SIX PM) My roommate whos in a wheelchair left work early to do me a favor and pick up the GRANDMASTER lens before they close. Upon arrival they told my roommate they DONT HAVE that lens in stock and tried to give him a shitty f/4 lens, that's worse than an April fools joke. You specifically quote me on a GRANDMASTER f/2.8 and try to give me a shitty f/4!?! They specifically said that he needed to give them more of an advance notice, what is your "need a quote" section of your website for then!?!? How can you give me a quote on an item you dont even have?!? You didnt check before you gave me the price on my quote?!? Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, you deserve ZERO stars. Will be in touch with upper management and this review will be posted on every website possible. What a complete scam! Will promise a $2200 lens and try and pass off a $400 one instead AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
