We celebrated our wedding at Mountain Shadows Retreat and it was absolutely breath-taking! Perfect place for our family to get together on our big day! 5/5 would recommend!

My favorite part of working with Brian was the lack of “pushiness” that I would often experience when touring other wedding venues. Brian is very down to earth, helpful, straightforward, and appears to genuinely care that everything goes smoothly for your big day. Since we were from out of town, Brian was very accommodating and made sure someone would be on site whenever we wanted to make a trip out prior to the wedding. He always responded promptly to questions or concerns that we had, and he was reasonably flexible with our requests. Another thing I loved was how at home we felt even before our wedding day. Brian always made us feel welcome at Mountain Shadows, making it feel more personal rather than business-like.

One thing we initially struggled with was the price of the location. As a young couple, it was the most expensive venue of the ones we had looked at and therefore was slightly above our budget. I should note that paying with credit is also not really an option, so that added some difficulty. However, after all payments were made and we came out the other side, I’m quite certain we saved a great deal of money. If you are considering Mountain Shadows, please also consider everything that is included in this price. You get the entire place to yourself for the weekend, meaning you get to stay onsite with your bridal party for several days. You therefore have plenty of time to prepare, and you can hold your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and morning after brunch in the same place. You have the freedom to bring in your own vendors. Executive bathroom suites are brought on site. You have an OUTSTANDING view that your guests are sure to comment on. You have multiple options for how you can set up the site, as it includes a barn and several decks. You have accommodations within walking distance that you get to easily block out for guests. You have someone who is only a text/phone call away, willing to help you with any hiccups or concerns. The lack of stress I experienced from selecting Mountain Shadows made it worth every penny. So, if you feel you can make it work within your budget, my belief is you should make it happen.

Mountain Shadows was an absolutely breathtaking venue for our intimate wedding. Our interactions with Brian and Jaime have always been fabulous, with them helping us with logistics to recommending vendors or ways to set up our event. Mountain Shadows was everything we had hoped and dreamed for. The beautiful house has amazing decks that are perfect for any events. As a destination wedding, no one was from the area, and every single one of our guests commented on the breathtaking scenery and the luxurious amenities for a long weekend. Brian knows what he is doing with this property and it will forever have a special place in our hearts. We will definitely be back to stay ourselves and will use it in the future for any events. Mountain Shadows Retreat is the most amazing location for your wedding. All my guests raved about how incredible the view was. I absolutely have no regrets about choosing Shadows. The experience was amazing! I love the cabin! It was especially nice to have the location for days instead of hours. My close family, wedding party, and my groom and I were able to casually set up and take down all wedding items. No rush. Plus, there's was always time for fun. It changed the wedding experience from hours of memories to days/mini vacation of memories. It was wonderful. Definitely consider Shadows for your next event/vacation! Plus, Brian is the best and so much fun to work with!
