Welcome to the Moose River House in Old Forge, New York, built in 1890 on the serene middle branch of the Moose River. We are located in the Adirondack Park of Upstate New York. This elegant and charming Victorian property offers a weekend wedding experience for you and your guests to enjoy for the complete weekend of your choice. The property offers a stunning yet peaceful setting, perfect for your special occasion.

14 guests can stay overnight on the property and we host celebrations with up to 80 people attending. The main house has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, living room, two dining rooms, and a large deck which is accessible through sliding glass doors that overlook the river. In a private, separate yet connected bridal suite, there is grand bedroom, a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, and a deck. Both the main house and the bridal suite have welcoming front porches and are equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, access to a fitness room, and extra refrigerators in the garage. All bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens have been newly renovated and remodeled as of this year.

Outside you’ll find all of our decks, porches, and docks surrounded by beautiful landscaping, gardens, and gorgeous tall pine trees. There are multiple little “hide away” sitting areas as well as outdoor tables perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a sunset dinner. Our outdoor amenities include our hot tub, kayaks, bicycles, grills, and a fire pit. The property provides an intimate Adirondack atmosphere for a truly memorable experience. You will always remember the warmth, hospitality, and tranquility that the Moose River House has to offer. And let's not forget the spectacular view, especially at sunset.

With this beautiful waterfront venue, there are incredible photo opportunities with gardens and the Moose River as your backdrop. We offer a tented reception for your special day with access to catering and bar services, event rentals, and accommodations. The decor and event items included in the overall pricing of the Moose River House are a waterfront gazebo with an altar, chairs at gazebo, an event tent that seats up to 80 people with a dance floor, tables and linens, and tent accessories. The event services at the Moose River House are seemingly endless, including:
