My husband has known Monte for some time so we knew going into our ceremony that he was extraordinarily talented. At the Naval Academy you can opt to go with a either a string quartet or an organist (Monte) for the ceremony and we were so happy with our choice. The Chapel is extremely large so you really need a sound that will fill the space, and Monte did a lovely job doing just that. He played flawlessly for our wedding and was extremely easy to work with. We highly recommend him!

Music is key to any ceremony or party. A wedding is no different. My husband attended the Naval Academy and spent Sundays listening to Monte play for four years, so when it came time for our wedding ceremony at the USNA Chapel, there was no doubt that we were going to ask Monte. He is so incredibly talented. The Chapel provides a list of pre-approved songs to choose from, where were perfect. Everything we wanted was already on that list. I was able to select a long song for the prelude, a second prelude song for the mother's, a processional song for the bridesmaids, and a second processional song for myself to walk down the aisle. We were even able to get a "not previously approved" song approved for our recessional!! Monte performed "Crowne Imperial" by William Walton as we walked out of the church. It was absolutely gorgeous! Thank you Monte!

The organist provides a very specific list of songs from which to choose. He is highly talented, but the price is very high for what amounts to a 30 minute ceremony consisting of merely four songs played on the organ. The organist is also the director of chapel music at USNA, so he determines who can play at the venue.
