I'm not sure where to start, from the first tour to our final meeting we had an awesome experience. Everyone was very accommodating and super nice, it made us feel like we made the right choice before the big day. I didn't really feel like we had to worry about anything. Our big day was September 17, and everything went amazing. We used all recommended vendors from The Monte and they were amazing from the officiant, to the DJ, the photography team, and the desserts, they exceeded our expectation. The food was amazing! We'd like to give a huge shout out to our coordinator Sarah, and banquet chef, Ali. Sarah seriously made us feel like a king and queen that day anything we needed she was already a few steps ahead, she really made our day.

The team made sure we always had what ever we wanted and made us feel super special.

I would definitely recommend The Monte for anyone looking for a non stressful beautiful wedding. The team is awesome and the location is beautiful.

The Monte is a beautiful venue, but our experience with the management and catering was a complete disaster. It was stressful, embarrassing, and unprofessional.

Communication was always inconsistent. They changed our final guest count deadline from 10 to 30 days, forcing us to reprint invitations. Days before our wedding, they tried to upcharge us $12/drink for batch cocktails that were already included in our contract, only relenting with a small amount as a "goodwill gesture." It felt manipulative.

The wedding day was worse. Dinner started 30+ minutes late because they ran out of salad and had to send staff to a grocery store. The food was a total bait-and-switch from our tasting. We were promised London Broil and got tough pot roast. The "Honey-Glazed Salmon" was dry and full of bones. The "Pasta Primavera" was cold and missing its sauce.

Most dangerously, the "Rice Pilaf" contained nuts, even after we disclosed two severe nut allergies.

Service was a joke. Guests waited over an hour for food. Staff told our family they didn't have enough plates. A 30-minute agreed upon service took over 1.5 hours, forcing us to cancel our plated cake service. The cake was left on tables and went uneaten. We had to order late-night pizza just to feed our guests.

Our own day-of coordinator called it the worst she'd seen. The owner, Eric, later admitted he hired a new chef he had never vetted or trained and wasn't even in the kitchen. They have since ignored our attorney and the Attorney General, offering no refund.

The venue is stunning, but it's run with shocking disorganization and zero accountability. We have photos and emails to prove everything. We strongly advise couples to avoid The Monte to prevent the same stress and financial loss.

Unfortunately, our wedding experience at this venue was extremely disappointing and stressful. At first, things were great. I was connected with Lily, the coordinator, and Eric, the manager/owner. On the surface, everything seemed to be going well—until the days leading up to our wedding.

Our rehearsal was scheduled for Thursday and the wedding on Saturday. Unfortunately, they no-showed our rehearsal, leaving my party standing outside for two hours trying to get ahold of someone, with no response. The following day, I received a call stating that they had fired my coordinator for theft and that our rehearsal had “slipped through the cracks.” This made us feel like an afterthought and that we were not a priority.

On the day of our wedding, none of the décor was what I had previously selected. I was told, “Lily didn’t leave good notes.” However, I had met with Eric a couple of weeks prior to confirm the décor choices, the rehearsal time (which he changed), and, of course, to make the final payment.

My husband and I requested a refund for at least the rehearsal, since it is part of the package. Eric agreed to compensate us, but after reaching out multiple times, I was eventually told, “We can offer you a $50 Starbucks gift card.”

This venue itself is nice but very poorly managed. There were promises made outside of the contract that were said to be “done in good faith,” but we were later charged for them. Please be cautious.

During our event, the décor was still incorrect. I specifically requested “no pork” due to religious reasons for family members, yet pork was served to them in the rice from the taco bar. Staff members dropped numerous plates and cups throughout the event. Additionally, someone I was told was a coordinator was arguing and speaking poorly about another staff member to my mom and other guests. It was embarrassing and incredibly disappointing.

I can’t get my wedding day back, but I hope my experience helps others make a more informed decision.
