Choosing Modest Wedding & Prom was the best decision we made while preparing for our daughter’s wedding. Jeanay and her staff were very friendly and helpful. From the first moment we walked in the door, they were attentive without being pushy. There was a very nice selection of wedding dresses as well as finding nice dresses for the bride’s maids and the mother’s dresses, as well. I really liked how the gowns were clean and well cared for. They were very helpful in working with us, as we were from out of town. All alterations came out perfectly. We have had another engagement in our family and are definitely using Modest Wedding & Prom. I could not be more happy with the dress I rented from Modest Wedding and Prom! The dress was a dream come true! There was no way that I could have afforded to buy it, but Modest Wedding and Prom let me rent it for a fraction of the cost! and it was absolutely STUNNING!
The staff worked with me one-on-one to help me find the perfect gown and were willing to make any alterations necessary. I would definitely recommend them to ANYONE!

They will alter their gowns for you in whatever way you need (without ruining the dress) and they were so kind and accommodating! I had to come in for a few extra fittings and Jeanay and her daughter, Carol, were totally fine with me being picky. They are great people with a great service going! I can't think of a part of their service that I didn't enjoy! The veil and petticoat were included and all I had to do to get the crown (jewelry rental) was like the Facebook page!! It's a quality one stop shop if you ask me!

I wanted a Mother of the Bride dress and needed a formal length gown. Having spent HOURS online and not finding one that covered me where my body deserved more respect :-) I had almost given up. The event was days away when I found Jeanay and Carol...on Craigslist! Naturally skeptical, I checked it out and was greatly surprised! There were hundreds of dresses and many in my size (4X).

Jeanay altered the length of the gown while I waited, steamed it perfectly, packed it for travel, and sent me with a travel steamer to "perk it up" after I got to San Antonio!

It is really hard to find a gown for an LDS Plus-sized bride in an Arizona summer for less than $2,000! I needed a gown that covered my shoulders, and didn't look like it was built up. After visiting 4 bridal gown retail stores, I knew I needed to think outside the box. I found Modest Gown Rental, and thought it wouldn't be so bad to rent. After all, renting would cost about $300, and would be much better in helping us meet our debt-free-wedding goals. I was pretty discouraged at that point because finding a gown to fit and make me feel like a princess instead of a giant marshmallow was proving to be a difficult task.

The place is very small, and you get a very personal feel... like you are shopping in your sister's closet. :-) She pulled a couple of gowns in my size, and I saw one that was slightly smaller that I really liked. I wanted lace, and this one was lace... The minute I put that gown on, I knew I had found the right dress. Two problems. It had a zipper back, and it just wouldn't zip. And I wanted elbow-length sleeves. To make it fit, we would need to put in a corset back and do some alterations to the shape. They would put lace down to the elbow for my elbow length sleeves. But I had to purchase the dress in order for them to make such drastic alterations.

In the end, I purchased the dress for $600, had them make the alterations, and was happy with the end result. Stylistically, I would have done a few things differently to the corset back, and instead of satin, I should have asked for something that would match the lace better and not be quite so glaringly white. But my veil covered the back so it wasn't an issue. Overall, I am very happy with my choice to go with Modest Gown Rental, and I would recommend them to anyone. They were professional and you can't beat the price. I appreciate the personal touch, and I am grateful for the good service.
