We had Rachel design our save the dates, invitations, escort cards, and programs. She did an amazing job on all of them. The stationary you choose truly sets the tone for your wedding and with Rachel, everything was beautiful and classy. She nailed the style and formality we were looking for. She has an excellent attention to detail and it was the little touches in ribbon, color, and script that really set our invitations apart. She was so quick to communicate with us and was extremely flexible with pickup. I got so many compliments about how beautiful our invitations were and some of my friends (who got married a few weeks before we did) said they wish they had used Miss Merkle Design for their invitations. The save-the-date cards and/or the invitations are what make the first impression to your guests - make sure you make the best impression possible!

Rachel of Miss Merkle Designs did a wonderful and beautiful job creating many pieces for our wedding day signage, including our wedding program, menu cards/thank you guest note cards, Instagram signs and created other various day- of designs to make our event seamless and cohesive from the wedding ceremony transitioning to on-site.

Rachel even provided the .jpgs of certain designs I wanted pulled out so that I could frame, like our designed monogram with a wreath around it. She also worked very will with other vendors like our calligrapher and even photographer on various projects. She was made quick edits/changes that I needed and made everything perfect! The paper quality and printer she uses is high quality too!

I also had Rachel work on a gift for my husband after our wedding that incorporated the best man speech with design elements from our wedding that kept everything cohesive from the wedding.

Rachel is amazing to work with. We told her we liked copper, and from there she designed our invitations, place cards, escort cards, and thank-you cards to be elegant and match the season with creams, oranges, and coppers. We especially love her recommendations on the details--fonts, calligraphy, and edge painting to match. She was responsive and helpful, and we couldn't have chosen a better person to design these elements for our big day. Thank you Rachel!

When we first sat down to work on a design I had a very hard time articulating what I was looking for, but Rachel was able to take what I said and turn it into more than I could have ever imagined. Our invites were very unique to my husband and me as a couple, which would have never been possible had we gone anywhere else. Her artistic talent is apparent from the first time you meet her, and her professionalism and business acumen are just a few of the many things that makes her the best vendor to work with. I would recommend her to anyone for design work relating to any sort of special event, she is amazing!

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Rachel Merkle of Miss Merkle Design. She prepared our invitations and all of our day of signage (escort cards, place cards, signs, table numbers, etc.). Rachel met with us a few times and quickly answered my emails. She brought lots of examples of invitations, signs, and papers for us to look at, and she seemed to know what we'd love more quickly than we did! Her suggestions were thoughtful and fit right in with the ideas we'd described. After our meeting, Rachel provided simple forms to enter our information and that of our guests and offered us a couple of digital proofs so we could see the effect of different fonts on our invites. The work was all done quickly, and the final pieces were presented beautifully. I'd recommend Miss Merkle design without hesitation!

For my daughter's wedding, Miss Merkle Designs provided our custom letterpress invitation suites, letterpress programs, letterpress menus, letterpress place setting thank you cards, letterpress rehearsal dinner invitations. She came highly recommended by our wedding planner and we knew right away she was the perfect choice for us and our vision of something all our own! We LOVE letterpress and Miss Merkle made our wedding papery dreams come true!! She shared our passion for details and provided exciting ideas and options. We worked extensively with her over many months to create our one of a kind pieces for this once in a lifetime event. We very much enjoyed our time designing with Rachel and could not have been happier with the outcome of each unique piece! My favorite special feature (that guests were blown away by) was the way she worked with our calligrapher to use our same wedding hand calligraphy and have it pressed into each of our pieces - in order to perfectly coordinate with our envelope addressing and escort cards.....WOW! Rachel was so pleasant to work with, that I miss her now that the wedding is over! We will forever be grateful and treasure her designs and the beauty they added to our wedding!!!

In a word, Rachel Merkle is exceptional. She was introduced by our florist with whom she has a close collaborative relationship (see Middleburg Events Studio). If you're looking for unique and creative paper products, attention to detail, personal service, and value, look no further.
Our initial plan was to utilize a standard retailer thinking that a boutique firm like Rachel's might be too expensive. But we were delighted to learn that for relatively similar designs, Rachel's products were similarly priced. The difference was our ability to brainstorm personally with Rachel on ideas, to seamlessly incorporate our ideas with hers, and to effectively collaborate and coordinate with our other vendors to provide a unifying theme for the day. For this reason, we believe she provides exceptional value.
We used Rachel for invitations and day-of paper products, including menus, signage, and escort cards. She was punctual, communicative, creative, and professional. She worked extremely well with our other vendors. Our guests absolutely loved the attention to detail, and it would not have been possible without her. We give her our highest recommendation!

If you want to wow and literally take every guest's breath away as they open your wedding invitation, Miss Merkle Design is your vendor. Even before I sat down to write this review I walked into my living room to admire the frame that holds our wedding invitation and instantly felt overwhelmed with happiness. It is truly incredible. My mom and I came to Rachel with extremely high expectations and pretty much gave her two guidelines: that everything be white and that it be the most exquisite invitation either of us had ever seen. She blew both out of the water. Our main card was very, very thick with multiple layers of white textures and sheens that created the most beautiful and elegant invitation that was both classic and unique. Phenomenal. Rachel took charge of everything paper for our wedding, all of which was wonderful. She worked very closely with Meant To Be Calligraphy (another AMAZING vendor) to coordinate the letterpress for our invitations, Catholic programs, menus, etc. and we could not have been happier. I cannot give her two bigger thumbs up for all of her creativity and hard work and recommend her with all of my heart.
