Mill Creek Lodge is a barn wedding venue located outside Alma, Kansas. This historic ranch stead was homesteaded in 1865 and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, now carefully restored and transformed into a charming wedding venue. Today, the ranch retains many of its original features while providing breathtaking views of the nearby Flint Hills and surrounding meadows. The barn is also close to the nearby cities of Manhattan and Topeka.

Facilities and Capacity

Couples who choose to host their wedding at Mill Creek Lodge will be impressed by the selection of event spaces on offer. The barn is a spacious three-level area that is perfect for receptions and parties of up to 300 guests. Featuring cut limestone walls and exposed wooden beams, this space combines rustic elegance with old-world charm and year round climate control. To-be-weds can easily customize the area to match their wedding theme and color palette. For an outdoor ceremony, guests can join the happy couple in one of several beautiful locations. Bordered by trees and numerous types of flora, this tranquil setting is ideal for saying "I do." The majestic backdrop also provides ample opportunities to take photographs and videos of the celebrations. Guests can also raise a toast on the patio at the barn or dance the night away under the stars.

Mill Creek Lodge offers a variety of wedding packages. The attentive staff can provide essentials such as tables, chairs, linens, and clean-up services. Guests can avail of parking and wheelchair-accessible facilities on the premises. The barn also has a caterer's receiving kitchen. This provides prep space for your caterers with stainless steel prep tables and sink, refrigerator, microwave and two electric ranges. Accommodation for twenty nine guests is available at the Main Guest House, the Tenant House, and the Bunkhouse. The Main Guest House is within walking distance of the barn. The three story Italianate style stone home has a total of nine bedrooms with sleeping capacity for seventeen, three and one half bathrooms, parlor, sitting room, full kitchen, spacious dining/meeting room, and covered deck. Below the deck is a brick patio and garden area complete with a fire pit, grill and seating. The Tenant House is just a few steps from the Main Guest House. With sleeping capacity for five, it has a private second floor entrance, large bedroom with two queen beds, a complete kitchen, full bath, living/dining room with a pull out twin bed and a private deck. The Bunkhouse is a separate space carved out of the corn crib area of the barn to provide simple, additional sleeping provisions. It has a private entrance, two sleeping rooms, a bath with shower and a coffee bar with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. This can sleep a total of seven guests. There is ample green space and Mill Creek is within walking distance so all can enjoy the fresh country air.
