Kara Restaurant Group was nothing short of extraordinary for our wedding. They didn’t just cater—they truly saved our day. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond, taking every vision we had and bringing it to life in ways more beautiful than we could have imagined. The food was phenomenal (our guests are still raving about it!), but what set them apart was their team. Every single person was professional, pleasant, and an absolute joy to be around. They rolled with every punch seamlessly, never once letting us feel the stress behind the scenes, and somehow made it all look effortless. We will be forever grateful to Kara Restaurant Group for their talent, their heart, and the unforgettable role they played in making our wedding everything we dreamed of and more.

Peter did an incredible job at our wedding at the NASW Aviation Museum in Cape May. He catered our 180 guest wedding, and the food tasted incredible. His staff was professional, friendly, and always made sure that we (the couple) had food at our table. The tasting was a lot of fun, we got a chance to taste the dishes at his restaurant (YBs) before finalizing our menu choice. He did a ton of pre-work, gave great suggestions, and just did everything he could to help the day of our wedding go smoothly.

Our guests were also extremely pleased. We got many comments about how delicious the food was, and how it was anything but typical wedding fare. (The appetizers included Spanakopita, meatballs, and Tuna Wonton, and the main courses, chicken, Mahi Mahi, and pork were just incredible.)

We could not have asked for a better caterer. Thank you so much Peter!

Our rehearsal dinner experience at YB was terrific from start to finish.
Peter responded immediately to our request for information about a possible dinner, and the menu choices and venue were perfect.
Our guests complimented us on our choice, and thought the food and service were excellent.

The Michael Kara catering group was very responsive to getting our needs met for our annual meeting for election of officers. The food they prepared was excellent, the amount was very good and It all tasted great. We had Greco chicken, red bliss potatoes and mixed vegetables. We put this out for competitive bid to three different caterers and Kara's rate was less than the others. They arrived early, keep the food warm in our ovens and set up the food to be ready when the rest of the organization arrived. All of the people involved comment on how good the food was. We are looking forward to having the Kara group serve food at next function.

Michael Kara Catering absolutely made our wedding day at The Beach Club in Cape May incredible from start to finish. Most importantly they listened to what was important to us, easy to get a hold of, and gave us the wedding of OUR dreams while taking away all the stress and worries so we could focus on the day, taking it all in!
Not only do they have incredible food, but you can tell that they have a sincere passion for what they do, and we could not have been happier with our decision to make them an integral part of our special day.

Michael Cara catering not only did a bridal shower for me, they also had a Sunday brunch reception for me at YB following the wedding!!!!! It was the best catering experience I've ever had. They were relaxed, yet professional, extremely flexible and just great people to work with. All the servers were charming, and the food was outstanding. I can' exactly recall the price, but I think they were extremely reasonable. The greatest thing was that we over ordered food for the shower and had leftovers for a while!!! I thoroughly enjoyed working with them, and would highly recommend them!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Peter and his team catered our wedding in Cape May. I can honestly say that had we gone with another catering group, I don't think our wedding would have been nearly as much fun and I know I would have been a lot more stressed out.

My new husband and I love good food and consider it to be one of the more important parts of a wedding reception. Our plan was to serve our guests a dinner of tapas style bites. We wanted the food to be plentiful, unique, and delicious.

Peter put together an amazing menu (lobster bisque shooters, thanksgiving in a cup-turkey confit with chorizo stuffing and cranberry jam, pork belly crepes, chicken in waffles, swordfish tacos, mini crab cakes, soba noodles, just to name a few favorites) and he was incredibly easy to work with. Throughout the process if I even mentioned that we still needed something, he jumped on it and took care of it completely.

Fast forward to the day of our wedding. Beach wedding turns quickly into a makeshift indoors wedding due to terrible weather. Peter's team never flinched. They handled all of the set up flawlessly and with an amazing, upbeat attitude. His team handled the bar tending as well and managed our overly enthusiastic wedding guests (and overly enthusiastic bride and groom) with a smile and incredible service.

At the end of the night, my new husband decided that late night pizza sounded delicious. The catering team jumped on the idea and shortly after boxes of delicious pizza arrived (and then quickly disappeared into the mouths of our alcohol laden guests).

During the wedding and now a month later, all of our wedding guests are GUSHING about the food. Every guest has a different favorite and they were all blown away by the service.

I cannot say enough positive things about Michael Kara Catering, Peter, Yianni, and everyone they brought to our work our wedding.
