I am very particular with my photos, especially when it's "candid" shots. So, I was very nervous picking out the right photographer for the most important day of my life! We found Michael and our intial meeting, you could tell how much passion, hardwork and dedication Micahel puts into each of his photos. I was blown away by his work and knew immediately I couldn't miss the opportunity for him to take pictures at my wedding. His warm personality and professionalism also sealed the deal. On our wedding day, he knew how to handle everyone and how to capture those special moments. He took more than a thousand photos and there wasn't one I was disappointed with. They were all beautiful and I've received so many compliments on my wedding photos. I look at them at least once a week because he captured our wedding perfectly. You will NOT be disappointed if you hire Michael. He is the best in Orange County, hands down.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision!  Even after all the beautiful portfolio pics, amazing references, and complete personal comfort level there are always questions, but Michael and Andy knocked it out of the park like we never imagined! I’m not sure if they’re part ninja or ghost, but I’m amazed by their ability to be everywhere all the time while never imposing.


Even his direction for the “posed” shots was subtle. I’m pretty camera shy, but Michael made me feel completely comfortable throwing my head back and laughing out loud by myself. And the pictures look natural and better than any photos I’ve ever had! He’s so lighthearted and fun that it’s almost impossible to feel self-conscious!

We had so many guests comment on how friendly and attentive our photographer was and how he didn’t miss anything, but it was so very evident when we saw our photographs (which was surprisingly quick, BTW). Each detail that we put our thought and hearts into was captured, and more importantly we now have an unbelievable representation of our entire day with everyone we love and cherish depicted in a beautiful photographic story that we can enjoy forever.

I can't say enough great things about Michael. He is amazingly professional, takes beautiful shots, and got our images to us incredibly fast. His prices are extremely competitive and a great value for what you get. If you hire him for your occasion you will be very glad you did!

We were very happy with Michael Jonathan Studios. I had more than one friend use Michael as their wedding photographer, one of which I was a bridesmaid for, and when I saw their images I knew that I wanted to have Michael do my wedding as well. I especially like his ability to work with nature-y backgrounds (we did our engagement pictures at a park and pre-ceremony pictures at a park as well, and the pictures of the parks look better than the parks were in real life).

Michael was very easy to work with, both leading up to the wedding day and on the day of. Very upfront and honest, always available when we contacted him, and very quick to respond to us. We had to change the location of our wedding halfway through the planning process and he did not charge us for change of location (we were doing our pre-ceremony + ceremony + reception at one location and it changed to three different locations), which one of my other vendors did, sadly. Because he was so experienced, he gave us good advice and feedback on the times and locations that would be best for our pictures.

Michael stayed longer and later than we had paid him for on the day of, for no extra charge. He also had our pictures ready for us by Thanksgiving (less than two weeks after our wedding) so that we can share with friends and family, without us even asking him to do it.

There are some things that are priceless....experience, genuineness, etc. MJS is a rare find in the overly saturated market of wedding photography. Can you find cheaper? Yes. But you will be hard pressed to find a better eye to capture your once in a lifetime moments. Don't settle. I will never trust another with my photos (baby, family, corporate). Other than just being a true pleasure to work with you will see your special moments through his lens and be amazed.

When we spoke at the end of the wedding reception, honestly, I found myself a little speechless as to how to compliment you & your assistant's incredible work throughout the day.

Fresh from the early morning and throughout the evening, you were diligently working at capturing every bridal & wedding detail, perfect shots, & sentimental memories. All the while, working with grace and patience at a time when nerves have set in on our end.

Thanks for keeping in constant and calm communication with myself, the bride, and the entire bridal party regarding timeline. Your follow through and keeping us posted on everything helped to calm my time pressured thoughts.

Lastly, thanks for working so seamlessly with the video company I hired and other vendors. You all worked hand in hand the entire day and night to capture everything but without even noticing that you're there. Incredible job done by all!

Michael Jonathan is without a doubt the best and nicest photographer EVER! We cannot thank him enough for his services and professionalism.
