We were so lucky to have found Stephanie and Atara at Michael Herman for my engagement ring and our wedding bands.
We brought them a family diamond for my engagement ring and they created a beautiful platinum 6-prong setting. They also did all the work to get us a full diamond report and appraisals.
For our wedding bands, we had two plain bands for the ceremony made as well as a diamond band. We are SO happy with the quality of the bands and diamonds.

Michael worked with my boyfriend, now husband, and me to create my dream ring. Michael was referred to us through my husband's close friend.

I had a very specific cut (antique cushion cut) that I was looking for and I had realized that it was not so easy to find. Michael produced several nice stones for us to review together.

Michael has a beautiful office that is very relaxing and private. I had also visited many of the supposed high end jewelry stores to look at rings and I found the experience at those places to be quite lackluster and non-luxurious. In contrast, working with Michael you are in a serene setting with all of the attention focused on you to create a custom piece that is exactly what you want. He spent as much time as we needed to make a decision.

Michael followed all of my requests to make a beautiful low setting with delicate small prongs and a very slender band, my ring is just beautiful and fits the proportions of my hand perfectly. It is also very comfortable which was a concern because I previously never wore rings.

Michael is also a cool younger guy so I felt like my boyfriend related to him more and felt more comfortable making such a significant purchase with him, since they were more like peers. To be sure, my boyfriend did not enjoy shopping the street level of 47th street at all since it feels so seedy and sketchy there, not a place where you are going to drop tens of thousands of dollars. My boyfriend liked and trusted Michael which smoothed the path to buying this big ticket item for me.
