An event to remember!

My dear husband wanted a joyful party in our backyard. The Michael Benson Band made his wishes come true. Mellow, jazz inspired tunes, soft melodies, beloved song “favorites” all helped set the stage. The range of musical selections were perfect. This celebration of life event was just that: a celebration!!! Michael knew the importance of musical selection and timing. He and his fantastic band members were a delight.

Excellent experience at our wedding

We were so happy we decided to hire The Michael Benson Band for our wedding. Michael was so easy to work with leading up to the event and they were very accommodating. They set the tone for the ceremony and brought so much energy to the reception. All of my guests had a blast.

Great to work with, helped make our day a great celebration!

We highly recommend the Michael Benson Band for anyone planning a wedding or event.  We originally booked the band for our May 2020 wedding and Michael was great at navigating the whole Covid wedding madness situation and we are so pleased that it all worked out in the end!

The band was a pleasure to work with and we had clear and open communication while planning the wedding.  Darelle was not only an incredible singer, but she was amazing at helping keep the evening flowing, checking in with us and our day of coordinator making sure things were running on time as we wanted and she kept things moving smoothly and help us moved guests between the different parts of the evening.

The band was absolutely brilliant and played a huge part in making the day unforgettable - great tunes, great singing and they were able to pick the right songs to match what was going on at the time. Guests are still talking about how incredible the band was, friends are wanting to plane events just to have the band play at them, the band was absolutely incredible!!

Top Class, Top Notch!

This band made the first big party for all of our guests since pre-COVID... the party of a lifetime! We put their flexibility to the test with COVID shifts over two years, and they rose to the occasion every time with grace. Then they nailed it! This band is better than a dream come true, they literally played the crowd as if they knew every song that could bring out the happy in each and every person: dancing, smiling, and loving on each other!

The Michael Benson Band is the Best!

The Michael Benson Band is the absolute best choice you will make when planning your event! They were one of the highlights of our wedding and we have had our guests continue to rave about them for months after the party.
Michael is so responsive, genuine and talented! He worked with us to ensure we got the party that we wanted. We highly recommend them for any event!

Best wedding band in Seattle

We used Michael Benson Band for our June 12th wedding at Newcastle Golf Club. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid and Michael was extremely flexible and understanding. His band did such a great job and even saved the day when our officiant’s mic went out (we used Newcastle's AV for her mic) and Michael benson who was there to play our ceremony music ran up to the front with a working mic for us to use.

Book the Michael Benson Band!

My daughter's wedding was in July 2021 - the biggest compliment a MOB can give a wedding band is that they were enjoyed by ALL ages in attendance - literally everyone had a favorite genre of music played which allowed them to hit the dancefloor and have a memorable moment! We had asked for certain songs to be played (and/or not played), and Michael took our lists and created a fantastic experience - experienced professional emceeing also throughout the event. Polished group on all fronts - book as early as you can!

We have been working with the Michael Benson Band for years now. They always put on an amazing show for our events. Every year we have multiple guests asking for their information and looking to book them for their events. I can't say enough great things about this wonderful group of musicians!

Wow! Just Wow!

Michael Benson and his band transformed our wedding from a celebration to an all out party! We are convinced that if the venue didn’t require us to leave by midnight our guests would have stayed on that dance floor all night long, dancing and singing along with Michael and the band. It’s not just the performance that sets Michael apart, it’s the entire experience. From the first time we reached out to Michael he made himself available, answered multiple back and forth emails and we spoke on the phone a few times to sort out the little details like first dance, father/son, etc… Michael and his band rocked every single aspect of the big day whether it was music for the ceremony, a remarkable saxophone at cocktail hour or rapping Jay-Z at 11pm while all the guests sang along! Almost every guest we spoke with in the weeks after our wedding commented on how awesome the band was. Thank you Michael for making our wedding so special, you really did exceed all of our expectations.

Michael benson band - a class act that will elevate your wedding reception to exceptional!

Our daughter and son in law were intent on one thing as they planned their wedding; they wanted a live band! We interviewed and listened to a variety of different local bands; hands down MBB was the one that our kids wanted (and we agreed)! Michael Benson is professional and very responsive to his clients. He put together a beautiful set of dinner music which was an elegant treat for our reception guests and then had everyone immediately on the dance floor when dinner ended. The band is high energy and super talented; yes Michael Benson can even rap!! On top of that they are a class act; they even wore tuxedos to our daughter's Black Tie wedding. They kept our guests entertained the entire evening and also did a fabulous job of emceeing the events of the evening.
If you're going to splurge on anything, Michael Benson Band is a must. Having a live band elevates the entire event. Thanks Michael Benson Band for making our daughter's wedding reception a fun and memorable evening!
