So great to work with, they were there when we needed them and were willing to be flexible to help us get some unique pictures. I especially loved the engagement video they put together! The had slower transitions so it told their story. It was perfect!

There's a long story to tell here as to why Mha Rodman Photography shouldn't be considered for your event, especially one where sensitivity, respect, and value are concerned (also if the job is even going to get done). My now in-laws helped with our wedding cost by hiring Mha Rodman Photography, which was a generous gift from them and helped in the management of duties that were already heaped on our shoulders in organizing our own wedding (we didn't have a vast budget so we were handling a lot of details ourselves).

But then the day of the event came. Rodman Photography came into the building with demands, attitude, and forced expectations. They initially approached one of the bridesmaids who were generously showing face to aid in any of the festivities, from the bar, catering, to photography if need be. The way he spoke to her was incredibly discouraging from the outset, insisting on having a table in our already crowded room to display his equipment and said it was crucial to doing his duties. We had already set aside a private room and table for them, but they said that would be impossible. We offered them another room closer to the festivities, but not in the middle of our already crowded room (which was serving as the ceremony and reception area). With each and every offer of managing those expectations (of which we offered a minimum of three) and getting him to function within our requests he kept shaking his head and saying, "no." Those are definitely words you want to hear when you've hired someone for a service. No adaptability, just demands.

This was all happening while I, the groom, was setting up my own audio equipment, because, again, we were a budget conscious wedding. I overheard every interaction as he dismissed any help or compromise from my friend trying to work with him. She asked me in an official determination if they would be able to have their request for a table in the main room in between guests, and I said no, because it would be a functional distraction. He waved his hands and became exasperated that we were getting in the way of his potential and his work. That was already approaching the last straw territory based on his unwillingness to work within request, but then, as the bridesmaid went to get the main point person for the photography (my now sister-in-law), Rodman decided to confront me as he drastically misread the room and the situation. He asked, in a deriding manner, if I was the manager or something, and my response wasn't kind. Once he realized his mistake he disingenuously tried to save face, but it was too late.

My now sister-in-law came in to act as a barrier between us since we already were getting off on poor terms. She tried to guide the situation to a productive outcome, talking with Rodman about compromise, solutions, and possibilities for dealing with the situation. But again, he kept insisting on this one area and this one table, he would not budge and even started to set up the table anyway after we had expressed our desires for where we thought his base of operations should be in the venue. He refused to listen, he pushed forward on his expectations rather than ours. But he also couldn't leave well enough alone and decided to confront me again (as my now sister-in-law asked him not to do so) bordering on the threat of a physical confrontation. After expressing my disappointment with how this has all gone down, others insisted I remove myself from the room, which I did.

Ultimately, Rodman was asked to leave because no one felt comfortable with him there, and we could not trust that he could carry out his duties after the behavior he exuded to multiple people. The decision was between losing our money or having him present, and we decided we'd rather lose the money than have him there (a risk we debated). We have not received a single dollar in refund from Rodman, not even in the added videography cost that simply wasn't done because of his poor, unprofessional behavior. I'd be wary of any contract stipulations with Rodman, I'd be wary of the potential ego, demands, and stress he brings to any event, and ultimately I wouldn't hire him due to his inability to listen, adapt, and function within your event demands and parameters.

I hired Mark for my sister’s wedding after seeing that other people gave him good reviews. Worst decision we ever made.

He was so rude, arrogant and inflexible. He got into an argument with the groom less than 5 minutes after arriving. I tried to save the situation but he was defensive and impossible to work with. He ruined my sisters day.

We paid for everything ahead of time and he refused to refund us a dollar after delivering nothing. We did not get a single photo from him after paying thousands of dollars.

Hire someone else. Choose a photographer who is pleasant and excited to capture your special day. This guy was terrible.
