Event: One tasting and we were hooked. Not only did they cater three events during our wedding weekend (welcome reception / wedding / farewell brunch), but we also went to stay at the hotel that they service (One11). We had our wedding and associated events at Chateau LeMoyne. Most of the folks that were involved in planning the event and organizing the space/timing/etc. were from Messina’s. For anyone looking to have a wedding in New Orleans, I would recommend looking into where Messina’s caters to - and planning the venue around them. Truly we couldn’t be happier with them! ///////// People: We had a little turnover during our planning (started working with them in March, we got married in December). We initially worked with Maria - who we absolutely fell in love with! - but then we worked with Stacey. She was so helpful, calming, and patient with us! We loved working with her, Lydia, and Logan. And let me tell you - if you add Chef Mark to that team, you’re truly in the best hands. Chef Mark is a culinary artist and you+your guests will fall in love with anything that he makes! ///////// Food: We tried to have it all! In fact, after we had our venue reception tasting with Messina’s, we immediately added two events so we could have more of them. True story! We loved having Messina’s cater our wedding! The food was amazing and so many of our guests commented that it was some of the best food they’ve had at a wedding, ever. They are very professional and easy to work with, and I was truly blown away by Stacey’s kindness. After allowing us to postpone our March 2020 wedding last year, she didn’t even blink when I told her we were further downsizing from 120 guests to 20 this year. She also called me a few days before our wedding just to make sure we didn’t have any questions and to wish us the best. Her staff were so kind to us and even boxed up all the extra food for us to take home after the wedding. Would highly recommend them!

Lydia and the staff at Messina's are so amazing. They are patient, personable and friendly. The venue is beautiful and the food is delicious. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. If you are looking for the best wedding venue in the new Orleans area, you've found it.

My husband, Dan McDonald, and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for our experience with Messina’s Catering. Messina’s provided food and bartending service for our wedding on May 26th, 2018 at the Beauregard-Keyes House in New Orleans. Executive Chef Mark Daniels and Sales Manager Lydia Casler worked tirelessly from the time of our very first contact—I discovered them serendipitously thanks to our venue’s preferred vendor list—through the conclusion of our wedding day. From start to finish, Mark and Lydia provided the highest standard of service and ease of communication, not to mention the incredible food!

Mark and Lydia made the process of planning our wedding effortless and straightforward. Both were easy to contact by phone or e-mail and they responded promptly, answering all our questions in detail. Mark helped us design a traditional New Orleans style menu for our buffet dinner that would please both our local Louisiana friends and our out-of-town families from Arizona and Massachusetts, who are largely unfamiliar with southern cuisine. Both my husband and I are teachers, so Mark guided us toward menu selections that would accommodate our budget while still providing an incredible meal. Many of our guests reported that Messina’s was the best wedding food they had ever eaten, some emphasizing that it was the best food they had ever had, period. In a foodie dream city like New Orleans, there is a great deal of competition for such praise!

Mark and Lydia and the entire Messina’s team could not have done a better job. Every aspect of our interaction with Messina’s—from initial menu design, to tasting, to contracting and payment, to execution of the big day—went seamlessly. Our families are big food fans, and we have heard only the highest praise regarding the quality and taste of the menu. Wow! What an incredible experience! We have not selected a venue for our wedding reception just yet, but our friends most recently hosted a super fabulous engagement party for us and the food was to die for!! We had just over 100 in attendance and everyone has been raving about the food and the staff who serviced the event. The food was delicious and displayed beautifully and the service was impeccable. They were ultra professional and went above and beyond to make it perfect from the action station to the people taking care of the food service and the bar. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this team made the event. We have had the pleasure of working with Lydia on providing proposals for our wedding reception for several venue options and she is the most accommodating professional we’ve encountered. Believe it or not, planning a wedding on a budget is kinda stressful, but Lydia makes it better by responding to emails at all hours of the day and night and by offering budget friendly options and ideas. Not only does she know her stuff, but she’s delightful and approachable. It is apparent why they are voted “Best of” in so many categories. I just wish there were more stars to give! We hope to utilize their services for the wedding day too!!!

We had a Rehearsal Dinner for about 50 people in the upstairs Maria Isabel room. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the room looked elegant, and the service was great! We had the microphone available for speeches and TV set up for a video. Our elder relatives were able to use the lift chair to get upstairs. Jeff and Brad went out of their way to make sure all went smooth that night! Lydia was awesome taking care of organizing and making sure all was ready for that night! We were very pleased! Thank You!

Messina's exceeded all of our expectations in every possible way. This facility provides a first class and elegant experience from the all wooden floors, table linens, chairs, DJ, security and an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING selection of food choices to cater your event for a fraction of other venues. If you are looking for a professional, friendly and courteous staff, then look not further, they are military friendly and they treated us like royalty the entire day. My wife and I highly recommend Messina's for anyone who is looking for a place to host their wedding. Thank you guy's again for making our special day, even more special!!!!!!

Messina's catered a surprise Birthday Party we hosted for my Dad. They did an amazing job! From showing up early to make sure everything was set up properly to even bringing extra supplies incase we forgot something we were responsible for, Messina's went the extra step to ensure our party was less stressful for me and a night to remember for my Dad. I highly recommend their services for anything and everything, whether it is a big event such as a Wedding or a smaller intimate gathering. Their food and professionalism is sure to impress your guests.

Ask for Lydia. This is the best advice I can give. Lydia was very helpful and very professional. It was a joy working with her. Admittedly we chose Messina's because we wanted a "small' event. As our event grew, I was concerned about the space and staffing. The accommodations were more than adequate and the staffing was top notch. Everything was in place and we barely lifted a finger for anything more than our own decorations. Bradley, the Event Manager, was all that and more. I learned afterwards that he policed the door just as I asked allowing no one to interrupt the ceremony as it was taking place. Brandon, the DJ, was nothing short of perfect. He was very accommodating to our requests. Everyone raved about the food! All in all, Messina's more than exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Messina's to anyone wanting to host a small but big event. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
