About

Hi, my name is Meghan Cameron and I am a spirited Vermont wedding officiant located near Rutland, Vermont.

I became ordained in July of 2011. My two very good friends asked me to marry them and I immediately and happily agreed. I have a background in theatre and this was my chance to get back to "the stage".

I am extremely organized, punctual and flexible. I write every ceremony that I perform from a blank slate. I always ask for input from the couple and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to hear the story of how you met. I do my best to incorporate your story into your ceremony.

I am open to all formats, special traditions or any other special requests that you may want to include in your special day.

I typically only travel within reasonable distances from my home, but it never hurts to ask!

Highly Recommend Meghan!

I’m so happy my venue recommended Meghan to us, she was very professional and SO helpful. I loved her process of creating the entire ceremony, she’s very efficient and pays attention to all the details so I didn’t have to worry about anything! Highly recommend Meghan :)

You need to hire Meghan

Lovely ceremony thanks to Meghan!

Meghan is a wonderful wedding officiant! My husband and I asked Meghan to officiate our Vermont winter wedding, and could not be happier with how things turned out. We worked together using her suggestions along with our own ideas to come up with the perfect ceremony. She was always available to discuss what we wanted and to review changes. We loved her poise, professionalism, and how she so elegantly delivered the readings we all put together. Thanks so much Meghan!

best officiant out there

Meghan was amazing from the moment we first chatted to our wedding ceremony and beyond. My husband and I wanted a "short" but sweet wedding ceremony and Meghan helped us build just that. She took the time to piece together a unique ceremony by allowing us to be involved in the planning process and was always available for any questions leading up to the big day (I think I even texted her from my bridal suite when I started getting nervous about reading my own vows). Choosing Meghan to be our officiant was one of the best decisions we could have made. From our first conversation I felt so relieved and stress free knowing that our ceremony was in good hands. She is so genuine and you can tell she loves doing this which makes all the difference. We are from out of state and she made everything stress free and enjoyable. The ceremony was so perfect that no-one even cared that it was the coldest day of September on the top of a windy mountain. We truly can not recommend her enough.

Meghan is the best!

We LOVED working with Meghan. She was flexible, kind, and helpful throughout the whole process. She spoke beautifully at our wedding, and we worked together to customize our ceremony based on the array of beautiful words she had written, and collected. We could not have been happier with our experience!

Thank you, Meghan!

Meghan is an amazing officiant! We didn’t really know where to start with our vows, only that we, of course, wanted them to be meaningful to us both. She provided a bunch of vow and poetry/reading options which was unbelievably helpful and also made sure we knew we could personalize every piece. Meghan was responsive throughout the whole process and really made us feel like our wedding ceremony was a priority. She even kindly agreed to our inclusion of a few (Princess Bride) movie lines and did an impeccable job!!

Everything on the day-of was exactly as unforgettable as we had dreamed it might be. The ceremony went unbelievably smoothly and Meghan ensured that the part that the most important part of it all - our vows - were made in the calm and happy love we’d hoped would surround us in those special moments. Thank you, Meghan, from the bottom of our hearts, for being the person you are and one we would choose again and again to preside over the start of our joyful Mawwiage! :)

Stranger that felt like family :-)

Meghan was a great officiant. Preparation meetings were always professional and felt like you were talking to an old friend. On the wedding day, Meghan was on time and professional, I didn't have to worry about a thing. The only bummer for me was that so much was going on that day, I didn't feel like I got to spend anytime with someone so special that felt like a friend (obvsiously not a bad thing, LOL) One thing I love is for final first kiss photo, she silently stepped out of the way so we had the images with just us. Book her, it's worth it!

Meghan was wonderful to work with!

Meghan did a fantastic job, and we are so happy we hired her! We worked with her via email for many months, adjusting our ceremony script. She was always prompt in her responses and helped give her professional opinion on what would flow best. The day of the wedding was a bit hectic on our end, but Meghan arrived early, and even though we only had a brief opportunity to chat before the ceremony, she did a beautiful job and was extremely easy going about everything! She was a calming presence in our brief encounter, so I knew she had everything under control for the ceremony and I needn't worry about anything. Our ceremony was outside and we did not have an audio system, but Meghan was able to project her voice so that everybody could hear her well. She helped guide us through the marriage certificate process, and answer any questions we had! Highly recommend!
