Lovely ceremony thanks to Meghan!

Meghan is a wonderful wedding officiant! My husband and I asked Meghan to officiate our Vermont winter wedding, and could not be happier with how things turned out. We worked together using her suggestions along with our own ideas to come up with the perfect ceremony. She was always available to discuss what we wanted and to review changes. best officiant out there

Meghan was amazing from the moment we first chatted to our wedding ceremony and beyond. My husband and I wanted a "short" but sweet wedding ceremony and Meghan helped us build just that. She took the time to piece together a unique ceremony by allowing us to be involved in the planning process and was always available for any questions leading up to the big day (I think I even texted her from my bridal suite when I started getting nervous about reading my own vows). Choosing Meghan to be our officiant was one of the best decisions we could have made. From our first conversation I felt so relieved and stress free knowing that our ceremony was in good hands. She is so genuine and you can tell she loves doing this which makes all the difference. We are from out of state and she made everything stress free and enjoyable. The ceremony was so perfect that no-one even cared that it was the coldest day of September on the top of a windy mountain. We truly can not recommend her enough.

We LOVED working with Meghan. She was flexible, kind, and helpful throughout the whole process. She spoke beautifully at our wedding, and we worked together to customize our ceremony based on the array of beautiful words she had written, and collected. Thank you, Meghan!

Meghan is an amazing officiant! We didn’t really know where to start with our vows, only that we, of course, wanted them to be meaningful to us both. She provided a bunch of vow and poetry/reading options which was unbelievably helpful and also made sure we knew we could personalize every piece. Meghan was responsive throughout the whole process and really made us feel like our wedding ceremony was a priority. She even kindly agreed to our inclusion of a few (Princess Bride) movie lines and did an impeccable job!!

Everything on the day-of was exactly as unforgettable as we had dreamed it might be. The ceremony went unbelievably smoothly and Meghan ensured that the part that the most important part of it all - our vows - were made in the calm and happy love we’d hoped would surround us in those special moments. Thank you, Meghan, from the bottom of our hearts, for being the person you are and one we would choose again and again to preside over the start of our joyful Mawwiage! :)

Stranger that felt like family :-)

Meghan was a great officiant. Preparation meetings were always professional and felt like you were talking to an old friend. On the wedding day, Meghan was on time and professional, I didn't have to worry about a thing. The only bummer for me was that so much was going on that day, I didn't feel like I got to spend anytime with someone so special that felt like a friend (obvsiously not a bad thing, LOL) One thing I love is for final first kiss photo, she silently stepped out of the way so we had the images with just us. Book her, it's worth it!

Meghan was wonderful to work with!

Meghan did a fantastic job, and we are so happy we hired her! We worked with her via email for many months, adjusting our ceremony script. She was always prompt in her responses and helped give her professional opinion on what would flow best. The day of the wedding was a bit hectic on our end, but Meghan arrived early, and even though we only had a brief opportunity to chat before the ceremony, she did a beautiful job and was extremely easy going about everything! She was a calming presence in our brief encounter, so I knew she had everything under control for the ceremony and I needn't worry about anything. Our ceremony was outside and we did not have an audio system, but Meghan was able to project her voice so that everybody could hear her well. She helped guide us through the marriage certificate process, and answer any questions we had! Highly recommend!

Wedding in the Time of Covid

We reached out to Meghan in 2020 to officiate our wedding. At the time we were on our second date and second venue. Meghan was very responsive and helpful in the process of writing and planning the ceremony and was available to jump on calls because meeting in person was limited.
About a month out from our date, we had to postpone our wedding due to gathering restrictions. Meghan was super flexible and had no problem accommodating us and our change. Eventually when the date finally happened, Meghan was extremely professional and incredible to have officiating our wedding. Through the chaos of 2020 and 2021, multiple planned weddings, and life changes, Meghan was amazing through out the whole process.

Hire her!

I can't believe I didn't write this review earlier- but I'm glad I did! My husband and I had plans to wed in August of 2020, but when the pandemic hit we pushed our big wedding off until Sept 2021. We decided we still wanted to marry on our original wedding date, so we had a small gathering at my parents home. Meghan's reviews looked great, so we went ahead and hired her. She emailed back and forth with us about the ceremony wording, readings, vows, etc. She also video chatted with us so she could see us and get to know us better. On the day of the wedding she arrived early and was dressed very professionally. We decided to have a non denominational ceremony, and everything was perfect. One of my neighbors decided to weedwack the same time as our ceremony, and Meghan projected her voice right over it. When she became available for our Sept 2021 vow renewal/celebration we did not hesitate hiring her again! Again, she emailed us back and forth, video chatted with us, and worked with us on our ceremony wording. With my guest count of 120, again Meghan projected her voice to the very last row and nobody had issues hearing her, without a microphone. She did a wonderful job capturing our relationship with the wording she choose, and she added some humor into our ceremony as we were marrying, again! Meghan did a wonderful job not once, but twice for us, and we would recommend her to everyone we know! She will not disappoint!!

A Calming Presence—No Matter the Weather!

Meghan was so easy to work with! I immediately felt comfortable speaking with her, even though we had to do all preparations virtually. She was very flexible in letting us write not just our own vows, but the entire wedding script, sending a huge collection of ideas to browse. Day-of, I felt calmed in her presence, like seeing another old friend while I got ready. We had to rush to start the ceremony—it was outdoors and there was a thunderstorm coming!—but Meghan kept her composure and measured speaking voice. Smiles and five stars all around!!

She is super knowledgeable, made us feel extremely comfortable, shared a ton of great information providing everything we needed to prepare, and was perfect on our wedding day! Wonderful experience!

Working with Meghan as our officiant was a wonderful experience from start to finish. She is thorough, professional, warm and friendly. From the first moment we spoke, she made it clear that she was willing to perform our ceremony however we wanted; she's flexible and open to any ideas that couples have! She provides a LOT of helpful inspiration for designing your ceremony (very helpful if you're unfamiliar with the process like we were!), but also allows the couple to have complete control in designing the ceremony. She was also very patient when we took forever to solidify our details! On the day of the wedding, Meghan arrived early and greeted us to make sure we knew she was ready to go. She provided all the materials we needed and put our minds at ease. Meghan was a fantastic officiant, and we highly recommend her to any Vermont couples!

Meghan was great from start to finish. Since we were having a destination wedding, everything was done over the phone or email but it still felt personal. Meghan was my Officiant for my recent wedding which was a winter wedding in Vermont. Months leading up to our big day she was extremely flexible and communitive throughout the whole process. She gave us many vow options and also customized the language. I felt very fortunate to have someone so open minded and responsible to be our Officiant. And...she stuck it out in the freezing cold with us and spoke so clearly and confidently..you would have never known that she was shivering! I highly recommend Meghan!

Meghan was absolutely fantastic! Throughout the whole planning process she made everything so easy (through google docs) and provided us with so much material to choose from (all amazing options too!) and truly make it our own and personal to us. Once we chose everything we went back and tweaked certain parts to be more personal about my husband and I. She was always very responsive and very organized! During the ceremony she spoke loud and clear for everyone to hear - all ran very smooth! I can’t tell you how many people came up to us afterwards and tell us just how awesome and special the whole ceremony was - it was just amazing! Meghan was truly amazing at our September wedding this year. She truly takes pride in making your wedding special and is so appreciative to be a part of your big day. She was flexible and into all of our different ideas! She was also very very responsive and had wonderful ideas to make things run a little smoother. On the day of she was great! Meghan did an amazing job as our wedding officiant in May 2017. Since we do not live in Vermont, she made the effort to Skype with us several times over the course of planning our ceremony. She was also extremely flexible and was not deterred by our desire for a rather unique ceremony (my husband wrote a song as part of his vows; I requested that our guinea pigs were mentioned, just for a couple of examples :). She has a great sense of humor and clearly loves to help couples with their wedding plans. Thank you, Meghan, for an amazing experience!

We could not have asked for a better person to officiate our wedding. Our ceremony was very unique and quirky with a lot of special requests, and Meghan was not only on board with everything, she pulled it off perfectly. She worked with us in a very friendly and professional manner to ensure our ceremony was perfect, right down to the smallest detail. She has a great sense of humor and would be the perfect personality for any type of ceremony, from a non-traditional one such as ours to a more traditional and formal one - or anything in between. Meghan was amazing through the entire process. The day of the wedding was extremely chaotic. We lost our unity candles and everyone was anxious about the impending storm disrupting the ceremony. Meghan was the officiant for our wedding in June 2016. From our first phone call to the frequent emails, Meghan was an absolute delight to work with. She guided us with resources to help us write our vows and was there every step of the way as we starting putting everything together. Her enthusiasm and professionalism really made our day complete. Megan did a great job as the officiant at our wedding – we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Megan took the time to meet with us several months before our wedding. She is easy to get along with, speaks well, and gives a general sense of competence. She did a great job communicating, and let us worry about other aspects of the wedding with the knowledge that the ceremony was taken care of.

Megan met us the day before the wedding for the rehearsal. Megan made the rehearsal go smoothly, had a good sense humor, and steered us through the rehearsal smoothly.

On wedding day Megan arrived well before the ceremony and kept the atmosphere light before the ceremony. Once the ceremony began Megan did a great job delivering the ceremony without issues. She dealt with an unfamiliar sound system, and made the ceremony feel effortless.

Megan took care of the marriage license immediately – we had the official copy in our hands before the next weekend.

We couldn’t be happier with Megan as our officiant. Thanks for being a part of an important day for us, and for helping to make it go so smoothly!

Prior to the wedding, Meghan was extremely responsive to calls/emails. She has a very positive attitude and is a great communicator. Even though I had never met her, I felt like we had known each other for a long time after our very first phone call. She prepared an excellent ceremony and executed it perfectly. Despite the threatening weather that day she stuck to the script and did not rush or seem nervous at all. She is very friendly and easy to interact with. I do not think we could have chose a better person for the job. I highly recommend her!

Meghan was very helpful and flexible when it came time to work on our ceremony. She gave us some great ideas to work off of and was very helpful and receptive to or own ideas as well. When it came time for the big day she was professional and on time. I would highly recommend meghan to anyone.

Having been together for 16 yrs, my partner and I were in town to take care of family business and for a vacation from out of state, when at the last minute, we decided to get married while we were there as a tie-in to family history. We found Meghan on the Event Wire website and she contacted us within moments. We told her we would be able to pick up our marriage license the next day and would look for a public local venue then, and she must have dropped all her plans and made fast arrangements because she told us she could marry us the next evening! We were thrilled that the timing worked out, and in a few more phone-calls, we spoke with Meghan to discuss the content of the ceremony and communicate with her about the location we decided upon. She arrived early, was kind, friendly and professional, and had put together a brief and lovely little service that captured the nature of our existing commitment and our desire to acknowledge our Holy Union ceremony in a church officiated by family years before. We hadn't thought to tell her that we don't wear wedding rings, and when we reached the point in the service in which rings were called upon, she remained in good humor, figured out how to use one ring for two on the fly, and went on. She was great when we asked her to use our phones to take lots of pictures of us afterwords, and even let us take a pic of her for our scrapbook! While I am certain Meghan could manage a bigger, preplanned wedding excellently, this small event fit us and our intentions perfectly, and we couldn't be more pleased with the services this creative and supportive, super-flexible professional provided for us! We are delighted to provide the highest possible recommendation for Meghan Ferguson.

My wife, Carrie, and I, absolutely loved working with Meghan and would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding officiant. Meghan was absolutely wonderful. She provided an exceptional amount of professionalism, compassion, and devotion throughout our experience with her. Meghan was so amazing. We contacted her the week before our wedding, literally- and thankfully she had the availability and agreed at once! We never met with her because we didn't have time, and we never even chatted on the phone, because we didn't have time... ahh the craziness of the few weeks before the wedding definitely got to us. She took everything I had sent to her in a short brief email I had sent to her and wrote a whole ceremony from that!!!!! It couldn't have been any more perfect and tailored just for us and our relationship. She even made a few phone calls to city hall and begged them to give us a marriage license! She was more than amazing, she finalized the whole complete list of vendors giving 125% of her efforts and blessings! Thanks Meghan!

Meghan was simply amazing! Not only did she drop everything to marry my husband and I (we eloped!) with a weeks notice, but she braved the frigid Vermont air when we wanted to be married outside in November! Didn't even bat an eye at my crazy requests! She put together a beautiful ceremony that really captured everything we were looking for too. We couldn't have pulled off our elopement without her!
