Massimo is awesome! Not only is it is our favorite restaurant on the hill, it is also a fantastic place to have a wedding reception. Considering the quality of the food, and the warm colors and decor, Massimo made for the perfect venue. Not to mention the staff! From the get-go, we were impressed with Chris’ professionalism and attention to detail. He really was on top of everything. Even dealing with some last minute changes on the day of, he was ready for everything and didn’t miss a beat. The whole staff was super friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend!

We held our ~90 person wedding at Massimo in November and had an incredible experience. The upstairs space is gorgeous and was spacious enough for dinner and dancing. The food was incredible, and the staff was superb. Chris was a delight to work with - none of our needs or last-minute changes were ever a problem, and everything went off without a hitch. Our guests all had an incredible time, and so did we!

We chose Massimo for our wedding reception and it was truly the best decision. We used the upstairs space and had a cocktail hour and seated dinner with ~90 guests followed by dancing. Chris was a dream to work with leading up to the day - he was thorough, organized, flexible, and made us feel like family. The night itself was perfect and Chris stayed until the very end which was so appreciated. You will not find better service, food, or ambiance anywhere else. Our guests are still raving about the experience and the incredibly accommodating and friendly staff. Can’t recommend Massimo enough!

My son was recently married in Providence and I needed to find a venue to host the rehearsal dinner. Initially I found another Italian spot on Federal Hill that I fell in love with; however, after several failed attempts to get a returned phone call or email, I decided to look elsewhere, that's when a co-worker mentioned Massimo's. I went online and sent an email inquiring on private events, I received an email back the same day from the restaurant manager, Sarah Doolan telling me their event coordinator Kerri Schwartz was on vacation, but she would be happy to send me over some information and would have Kerri contact me when she returned. I cannot stress enough how responsive the two of them were. I decided to take a trip down to Providence one weekend w/a friend to scope it out. The service was unbelievable, the food was delicious, the upstairs venue room was beautiful. I work in customer service, the most impressive part was that they had no idea I was "shopping" them and the level of service they provided was outstanding. Next was the price, the event menu offered a 3 course meal that was VERY AFFORDABLE and the portion size was more than enough. I ended up having 30 guests and reserved the space on the second floor, the room itself was beautifully decorated, the waitstaff assigned to our event was phenomenal, they were super attentive & friendly. I honestly cant think of one thing they could have done better! Awesome night!!!! For anyone questioning, NO, I do not work there or know anyone who does, just honestly can't say enough about this place!

Massimo’s went above and beyond for my daughters bridal shower. From the setup to the food everything was amazing. Kerri was extremely accommodating and was in constant communication with me to assure a beautiful day. The waitstaff was attentive to all of our guests needs. Additionally, the staff made my vision possible with a gorgeous desert table that resembled a magazine article. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to host an event. Thank you Massimo’s for an exceptional experience.

The rehearsal dinner was . . . simply perfect! This was due in large part to Kerri's (their event manager) patience with us, attention to detail, and quick response to every question we posed - we loved working with her, and she made what could have been a stressful event into a fun and delicious one. From the food and champagne to the beautiful space and ambiance of Massimo, it was just an incredible beginning to Nick and Taj's wedding weekend. And, with regards to the Massimo staff that cared for us that evening - each staff member went above and beyond their traditional roles and made us feel like family. As a matter of fact, our friends from out of state asked us if we knew everyone who worked there personally, since we were so well cared for that night! We highly recommend Massimo to anyone who is planning an event that needs space for approximately 70-100 people!

Working with Massimo for our rehearsal dinner was great! They made sure we got the event we wanted for the budget we had available. We ended up sharing the upstairs space with another event, which I was a little worried about, but it turned out just fine and they managed the two events seamlessly! Also, the food was spectacular! Everyone said they ate too much because they just couldn't help themselves!
