Mason grew up in North Carolina, and has been living in Costa Rica since he was a teenager. A lifelong music nerd, he found out about djing in his late teens and began to learn the ropes while attending the University of Vermont. After beginning to play parties and local venues in Vermont, he moved back to Costa Rica, where he was asked in 2011 by a local coordinator if he would be interested in playing a wedding. He had never done so, but thought it sounded fun and signed on. It went well, so well in fact that the coordinator asked if he would play the rest of the weddings she had booked for that season. Realizing the potential to turn his passion into a work opportunity, Mason pushed forward with his wedding venture, as well as establishing several of his own successful event series' throughout Costa Rica in both the hip hop and the electronic music scene. Over the next several years he became a staple in the Costa Rican music scene as well as the private event industry - a crossover feat that few djs achieve. Eventually his work would take him to perform at festivals, clubs, and weddings alike in destinations such as Toronto, Montreal, NYC, Burning Man, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Peru, and El Salvador.

Mason is a real DJ's DJ. When events went quiet during the pandemic, Mason took a job as a professor at a DJ school. He is always striving to create unique blends and unexpected drops at every mix, and to provide something for everyone on the dancefloor. There are few wedding DJs that also play clubs and festivals or anywhere outside of weddings; Mason does it all. Willing to do the homework to provide what each client desires and with a background that ranges from disco to salsa, house to hip hop, and Top 40 to EDM, Mason has crafted the perfect soundtrack together for over 500 weddings throughout the years.
