I cannot say enough good things about Mark Hayes Photography. By far, working with Mark was the best decision we made in all of our wedding planning. Mark is a true artist, but with all the service and professionalism of a true business person.

I found that a lot of other photographer's assistants are apprentices of sorts. Mark's partner, Daine, is a professional photographer and also incredibly talented. He shoots some of his own weddings, but tends to assist Mark most frequently because other life responsibilities prevent him from going out and recruiting his own business. Two professional photographers is nothing to pass up!

Mark and Daine both dressed professionally, which may not seem like a big deal until you have another vendor show up in jeans and stick out like a sore thumb. Mark and Daine both have very friendly personalities too. Because we spent so much time with throughout the day, I appreciated that. I interviewed another photographer, a diva, who said that you shouldn't concern yourself with the photographer's personality b/c you're hiring a vendor, not a friend. I really disagree.

Mark has a true photojournalist approach to his photography, and I know that he receives ongoing professional development and training in this form of photography. Believe me, there is a huge difference between candid photography and photojournalistic photography. I checked out TONS of websites of photographers claiming to be photojournalists, and it became evident that anyone can call him or herself a photojournalistic wedding photographer. Even if you don't interview or hire Mark, I encourage you to ask any photographer where/how they got their training, and if or how they continue to enhance their craft.

What else to say.... My pictures were online within a couple weeks, and I received my pictures on a USB Drive as well as a 4x6 print of EVERY picture. That was priceless.

I recently got married on November 13th 2010, and we chose Mark to be our photographer. I could tell right off the bat from looking at his website that Mark was the photographer for us!
Mark and his assistant did an amazing job and I am so glad we chose him. He does such a great job at catching those special moments!
