I was hesitant getting married in a church because I had heard that this church was very strict and I was going to have a difficult time getting what i wanted and dealing with my situation of my husband being in the military and not being there through the marriage classes and planning. I was mislead. They let me drape satin down the pews held up by bows, I was able to have my 2pm wedding and receiving line inside. The musician played the music I wanted. I was also able to incorporate certain aspects I wanted involved that meant a lot to me. They did everything I wished. And the marriage classes were enjoyable considering how uncomfortable I felt going without my "partner" and everyone else there was couples. i was pleasantly surprised.

Father Tom married us. He is actually from another church but we knew him. I was so happy with him. As for Maria Regina itself was nice and it meant a lot to me to be married in the church my parents did. What I was unhappy with was that I was told I had to make a donation. A donation to me is what you feel comfortable giving. I was told what I had to give. This is not a donation but a fee. I asked for a receipt since I was paying a fee. This did not make the priest from the church happy but this is how I felt.

They are quite strict and booked my wedding at 1230 with another wedding at 2p. That poor bride was waiting for my receiving line to finish before she could even have guests sit down!
