Sophie and her team were a dream to work with. Sophie was so easy to communicate during planning, was super flexible with trials (and in one case a re-trial) and her entire team was beyond talented. They were all open to feedback and made sure everyone was comfortable with their hair and makeup for the day. All my bridesmaids and parents could not stop raving about what a great experience it was. If you want to take some of the stress out of your wedding day, work with Sophie and her team. Cannot recommend them enough.

The Sophie Marcs team came in clutch after I had to find a (new) makeup artist with less than a month before the wedding. It was very important to me to find a LGBTQ+ friendly makeup artist and SMBS came highly recommended. While Sophie wasn’t available, I was able to book with one of the assistants, Maya. Since we didn’t have time for a trial, we did a quick consultation call to review what I was looking for, any concerns or allergies I had, and the same for my bridesmaids. Maya did an excellent job on everyone’s makeup and had a great vibe with all of us getting ready. Maya even made each of us individual touch-up kits! While we didn’t need to use them since our makeup lasted through all of our pictures before the reception, it was a great peace of mind to know we had them if needed.

My hair and makeup for my wedding looked amazing. Everyone kept admiring it all night and told me how I still looked like myself but more confident. And these services really did make me feel beautiful. Sophie and Aphro are both are so talented and have an eye for hair and makeup. They have perfected their art and it really shows on their clients. I’ve never had a bad experience and will continue to use and support these amazing artists.

Sophie, Allison and each of their assistants were exactly what we needed for our wedding. Their professionalism, sensitivity and utter joy for what they do was immensely appreciated by both of us. They really wanted both brides to feel comfortable in the exact way that each of us wanted our hair and make up. They were able to fully tailor their artistry for each of us and our entire I Do Crew. We simply can't imagine our wedding day with anyone else.

I have been following Sophie's make-up journey for a while now (quite the fan here!) and I knew when I got engaged she was the person to go to! There was great communication, very quick to respond. Sophie was also great to suggest and bring a fabulous team on board (Allison for hair and Jessica for other hair and make-up needs, especially our flower girls). Our trial was so simple yet, Allison, who did my hair, and Sophie had such detailed notes for the day of, and even gave up little kits if we needed to touch up throughout the day! Everyone from me, the bridesmaids, to the moms couldn't have been happier with how stunning we all looked! I personally was getting so many compliments about how beautiful my make-up and hair were. I don’t know if my words will do it justice about how wonderful Sophie is. From my first interaction with her at her job to setting up my make up trial and finally the day of my wedding, Sophie has been nothing but compassionate, thoughtful, patient, knowledgeable and professional. She was very responsive to my questions and texted or emailed quickly, even when I would ask her about my everyday makeup routine. She was very organized and that helped me feel confident in her. The day of my trial I was nervous about how I was going to look because I don’t wear alot of makeup and wanted to still feel like myself. This was also my first time having my makeup done. She did one side with air brush and the other side without. I could not tell the difference until i had one drink out to dinner and redness shown through on the side without airbrush. I have rosacea and it flares up with certain foods and drink. I did not want that at my wedding. The airbrush was the way to go! I also cried taking off my eyelashes. I never felt as pretty as i did that night and the makeup was just enough for me. I knew in that moment there wasn’t any other makeup artist i would choose from. Sophie was it! On the day of my wedding she came early and ready to work and was so friendly to my bridal party. All my life i hated the shape of my nose and she made me feel like I had no imperfections. The makeup stayed on all night, even with crying, dancing and sweating! And I never once saw my redness. My makeup never looked so good and I felt even more pretty than my trial. I received so many compliments about how perfect it looked and I couldn’t have been more grateful. I was so upset again to wash my face that night! I can’t wait until the next time i need my makeup done! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Sophie did an amazing job on my makeup! She has done my makeup for other events as well, and she impresses me every single time. She is an extremely talented artist. On top of that, she is an experienced esthetician and is very knowledgable about skincare. She always provides great advice and recommendations on all things makeup, skincare, and overall wellness. She's also super fun and makes you feel so glam for the big day! I highly recommend Sophie!
