Marlo was absolutely amazing and I'm so glad she was my wedding makeup artist! She came recommended by my wedding planner and did makeup for me and 7 people in the wedding party. We had a wide range of styles and ages in the group and Marlo did such a wonderful job of working with everyone. I felt amazing in my makeup and COULD NOT believe how well it held up at the end of the night!! During the trial Marlo was super patient and we tried out a couple different options for lip color, etc. I would highly recommend Makeup by Marlo to anyone looking for a top-notch wedding makeup artist!

There are not enough words I could say to describe how wonderful the experience that I had with Marlo was for my wedding! I actually had Marlo do my make-up for a boudoir shoot a few months prior to my wedding and thought she was SO talented and sweet that we hired her for our wedding day. My mom was so nervous to get her make-up done so we ended up booking a trial with Marlo a month before the wedding to make sure she wanted to get her make-up done. Marlo (makeup artist) and Meghan (hair stylist) are incredibly talented and I wish I could book them for every single special occasion. They did my hair & make up both for my wedding in May 2021 and when I was a bridesmaid in September 2018, and the results both times were JAW DROPPING. In addition to being rockstars at their craft, they are both so wonderful to work with. Marlo kept me at ease as a bride and had all the answers to my questions. I discovered Makeup by Marlo at a preferred vendor event at our wedding venue. I met Marlo, the makeup artist, and Meghan, the hair stylist, and instantly was drawn to their kind personalities. I hired them for my original wedding date in January 2021, but with concerns over the pandemic, we opted to move our wedding up to October 2020 in order to have a safer and smaller event outdoors. Marlo and Meghan were flexible and happy to accommodate our new date on very short notice.

On the day of our event, Marlo and Meghan adhered to all state mandated guidelines, with masks and sanitizers, to make sure everything was clean and safe. We felt very comfortable with their clear protocols, which they shared with us ahead of the event.

Their work, both in hair and makeup, was beyond stunning. They did the hair and makeup for eight women and they were well-organized and timely; they finished right on schedule.

Meghan was able to look at an inspiration photo one time and recreate the look flawlessly. She did braids for my nieces, up-dos with accessories, blow-outs, and more. She executed each style perfectly; it was extremely impressive.

Marlo is a true makeup artist. Many of the women, myself included, do not wear a lot of makeup, so we fully trusted Marlo to create the perfect look. The makeup she used was lightweight and safe for sensitive skin. AND THE LASHES...WOW! Most importantly, it was all waterproof; I cried a lot of happy tears that day and can attest to the quality. I wish I could have her do my makeup daily; she's a magician.

I really can't recommend these women enough. We all felt incredibly beautiful because of their work. I look forward to the next time I need fancy hair and makeup just so I can book with them again!

I knew I wanted Marlo to do my makeup from the second I got engaged. I’ve been in many weddings and one of my best friends used her-- I’ve never felt prettier so I reached out immediately. Marlo was responsive and always communicated, effectively and efficiently. She had no problem traveling to Rhode Island and starting at 8 AM. She did 8 bridesmaids and my mom in 5 hours (with no issues)! Marlo is very calming and relaxing, and on a day with high anxiety, that is SO important. All of my bridesmaid said they have never felt prettier and everyone was thrilled with how they looked. She uses airbrush and lashes. Not one person looked like they had too much makeup on. Marlo highlighted my features perfectly and gave a natural look with some glam. She can do anything you want – she’s so talented. She took pictures of me during my trial and used that for reference. Six months before my wedding, I sent her an email asking how to improve my skin and recommended face products. She wrote me a lengthy email explaining tips, tricks, suggestions and best products. It was SO sweet and she didn’t have to do that! She truly cares about making you the most beautiful on your day and it is deeply appreciated. I would use Marlo 100X over again! I recommend Marlo to all my friends and telling them what a great job she did!

Marlo is a miracle worker!!! Not only did she make myself feel so beautiful, she met the needs of my large (13 people!) wedding party. I normally like to keep my makeup natural day to day. When I met Marlo for our trial not only did I feel like I was sitting with an old friend, she made me feel like I was in great hands. She listened to every detail I mentioned and really aimed to make my makeup all I wanted it to be and more. I have never felt more beautiful and comfortable in my life! I wore glue on lashes and they had to be pried off my eyes almost 14 hours later at the end of the long day. My makeup had not smudged in the rain or tears, did not wear, and looked fresh the entire day through. I love that not only did Marlo listen to my wants, she also gave professional suggestions that incorporated so much to my look. Addie and her second artist (Nicole) arrived ahead of schedule and stayed later than anticipated to help with some last minute appointments and touch ups.
