Marlo is amazing!
There are not enough words I could say to describe how wonderful the experience that I had with Marlo was for my wedding! From someone who doesn’t wear much make up, at all, Marlo made me feel both comfortable and beautiful even while battling some hormonal acne the day of my wedding! She is so genuinely kind and excited for the day. I could not have asked for a better human or more talented make up artist to be a part of such a big day in my life. One of my bridesmaids said this was the best make up she had ever had done as well! She was loved by everyone! Also- my make up TRULY lasted through the end of the night, check out the photo below on the bus home! -

I HIGHLY recommend booking with Makeup by Marlo. All of my bridesmaids and the mother of the bride and groom were RAVING about their makeup done by Marlo. She was fantastic and is genuinely THE nicest person. She added the best vibes to our day of getting ready, in addition to making everyone look absolutely stunning.
I actually had Marlo do my make-up for a boudoir shoot a few months prior to my wedding and thought she was SO talented and sweet that we hired her for our wedding day. My mom was so nervous to get her make-up done so we ended up booking a trial with Marlo a month before the wedding to make sure she wanted to get her make-up done. She was THRILLED with how it came out and felt so beautiful on my wedding day. Thank you, Marlo! You're the best (: -

I discovered Makeup by Marlo at a preferred vendor event at our wedding venue. I met Marlo, the makeup artist, and Meghan, the hair stylist, and instantly was drawn to their kind personalities. I hired them for my original wedding date in January 2021, but with concerns over the pandemic, we opted to move our wedding up to October 2020 in order to have a safer and smaller event outdoors. Marlo and Meghan were flexible and happy to accommodate our new date on very short notice.
On the day of our event, Marlo and Meghan adhered to all state mandated guidelines, with masks and sanitizers, to make sure everything was clean and safe. We felt very comfortable with their clear protocols, which they shared with us ahead of the event.
Their work, both in hair and makeup, was beyond stunning. They did the hair and makeup for eight women and they were well-organized and timely; they finished right on schedule.
Meghan was able to look at an inspiration photo one time and recreate the look flawlessly. She did braids for my nieces, up-dos with accessories, blow-outs, and more. She executed each style perfectly; it was extremely impressive.
Marlo is a true makeup artist. Many of the women, myself included, do not wear a lot of makeup, so we fully trusted Marlo to create the perfect look. The makeup she used was lightweight and safe for sensitive skin. AND THE LASHES...WOW! Most importantly, it was all waterproof; I cried a lot of happy tears that day and can attest to the quality. I wish I could have her do my makeup daily; she's a magician.
I really can't recommend these women enough. We all felt incredibly beautiful because of their work. I look forward to the next time I need fancy hair and makeup just so I can book with them again! -

Marlo was an absolute joy to work with! She was very flexible and so sweet and understanding during the crazy planning process. She did an amazing job on my entire wedding party! I have received SO many complements on my makeup! It photographed beautifully and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! -

I knew I wanted Marlo to do my makeup from the second I got engaged. I’ve been in many weddings and one of my best friends used her-- I’ve never felt prettier so I reached out immediately. Marlo was responsive and always communicated, effectively and efficiently. She had no problem traveling to Rhode Island and starting at 8 AM. She did 8 bridesmaids and my mom in 5 hours (with no issues)! Marlo is very calming and relaxing, and on a day with high anxiety, that is SO important. All of my bridesmaid said they have never felt prettier and everyone was thrilled with how they looked. She uses airbrush and lashes. Not one person looked like they had too much makeup on. Marlo highlighted my features perfectly and gave a natural look with some glam. She can do anything you want – she’s so talented. She took pictures of me during my trial and used that for reference. Six months before my wedding, I sent her an email asking how to improve my skin and recommended face products. She wrote me a lengthy email explaining tips, tricks, suggestions and best products. It was SO sweet and she didn’t have to do that! She truly cares about making you the most beautiful on your day and it is deeply appreciated. I would use Marlo 100X over again! I recommend Marlo to all my friends and telling them what a great job she did! -

Marlo did my makeup for our engagement photo shoot and for our wedding, and I couldn't have been happier. I wanted to look natural in the engagement photos and a little more dramatic for the wedding. Both looks were absolutely perfect! Marlo is so sweet, personable and talented. She uses all high quality products and works very efficiently. I love Marlo and HIGHLY recommend her services! -

We had a trial a few months before, which was super helpful, and my makeup turned out amazing! She is very good at listening, getting a feel for your style/vision, and bringing it to life. On the day of my wedding, Marlo was on time, very professional and enthusiastic, and did a FANTASTIC job on myself and all the girls! I highly recommend her for your next event!!!

Justine Sent on 04/28/2016I absolutely adored Marlo! She was the sweetest person to have around while getting ready for my wedding at a vineyard in New Hampshire. I knew from the makeup trial that she was awesome and she really pulled out all the stops with my day-of makeup. I don't tend to wear a ton of makeup on a daily so I was a little nervous that I wouldn't look like myself on my wedding day but Marlo made me look like the best version of myself! She was so fun to have around and I have already had friends ask about her info for their upcoming weddings.
