We hired Teresa for the Day-of Ceremony and Reception, at a DIY Venue, we feel behind the day-of with set-up and decorations and were in full panic mold! Teresa and her Assistant Tiffanie stepped in and helped; we wouldn't have been able to stay on schedule if it wasn't for their professionalism & decoration experience.

Teresa was a joy to work with and helped ease our anxieties heading into our wedding day. We had a relatively non-traditional reception, but Teresa was there through the whole night making sure everything went smooth and everything was taken care of at the end of the night. Great experience!

Teresa worked very diligently to provide multiple creative ideas for a fantastic presentation toward our desired setting and event planning experience.

The Good: Below average cost for wedding planning. Organized and responsive, Teresa kept us on target for each planning milestone along the way.

The Bad: Teresa’s meetings often went over the allotted time and there were several times we had technical difficulties. Beware of her recommendation for a catering service (which we did not use.) The food was subpar, and the tasting was nowhere near a standard you would expect from a wedding caterer. Do not use her decoration service as she will nickel and dime you for every little item and the price you agree on and does not match the invoice she sends. On our wedding day she was an hour and fifteen minutes late for the staging and decoration. This caused our guest to be re-routed to another area of the venue. Also, we lost an hour of the time we paid for the venue while also being behind on our timeline. Overall I would not recommend using Mahogany Event Planning, which is sad because I wanted to support her small business.
