Megan from Mae Mae Paperie was great to work with. Her creations are amazing and I got many complements on my invites that they were so unique! She did a great job.

The invitations were the worst part of my entire wedding process. I can't go through every pain points in details because it would take too long.

I think for the most part her work is really great. She created the invitations, labels, response postcard and the map. I have no complaints about the invitations and the postcard and actually really loved them. The quality of paper and ink was great. However, her first draft of the map was nothing like her samples. The map consisted of a few lines and inconsistent labeling. I had to draw things out, scan it, and have her replicate before it became a polished product. It felt like she didn't do her best on the first draft, warranting additional drafts and possible additional charges. But due to the various challenges during the whole process she provided us with a 50% discount and provided additional proofs for free. I have to say that for the final product and the reduced price, it came out to be very fair. Although she was responsive when she was available and was very cordial in all of the communications, the fact that she didn't return calls to speak to us directly and opted towards the end to only communicate over emails was very unprofessional. It was also apparent that this was a very small, individually run business as we had no follow up for a week regarding her absence.

Overall, I had a miserable experience, but it could have been circumstantial. No one seems to have had a bad experience working with her. It started with us not hearing back from her for a week. She explained that she was going through some tough times, and I wanted to believe her but her blog was being updated. The first draft of the map was the biggest disappointment. It did not make any sense why the map lacked the creativity that she was so known for. I was on a tight timeline because we both had family overseas. The absence and back and forth after that didn't allow me the two full months before the wedding to send out the invites. I wanted to allow three months, but barely got the two for local folks. I do want to reiterate that she did compensate us properly but I would have rather paid the full price for a smooth experience. We would never really know what all really happened.

She was incredibly pleasant to work with before we signed the contract, and then although always cordial, she didn't seem 100% after that. If you really love her work, I would only stick to purchasing the basics, ready made items from her to ensure the best experience. Maybe her work is so great that you'll take the chance anyway.
