She and her team come extremely prepared with so much experience to draw from. I felt she could see and anticipate everything we were trying to accomplish. Even though our wedding wasn't the most traditional, she didn't blink and eye. I appreciated her process so much. We reached out 3 months before our wedding day. She was very sweet and genuine in our first meetings which put us at ease. We met a few times, she was incredibly helpful sourcing tents, managing our contracts, and planning layout. From the big sweeping details to the sweet little details, she had wonderfully tailored ideas to meet our vision.

Her skills & planning tools were incredibly helpful - timeline of the day, coordination of payments for our vendors, delegating to our helpful family and friends, taking time to connect with our mom's. Absolute Rockstar.

So much of what we were doing was DIY so I thought we would just ask a friend to help with day of coordination. HA! Don't do that. She has seen it all so the things that came up (and they always do) were not new to her. 1000% worth every penny.
To name a few memorable achievements of hers - *someone showing up who wasn't invited *band music was too loud for the mother of the bride *seating for a 100 with proper distancing in pods *post ceremony speech to the crowd about covid protocols (she was gracious and fun and everyone listened). *

You'll be so glad you factored her into your planning. I think we only scratched the surface of all that she and her team are capable of. We had the wonderful opportunity to feel fully present on our day knowing the plans were in her capable hands.

She was impeccable in her tracking of her time and efforts. Her transparency was very welcomed - planning a wedding can feel like people saying "don't worry about the cost!". I was glad she was open and honest from the beginning, not patronizing in any way. I think that made the decision to hire her that much easier.

Lucent Blue Events was in many ways the glue that held my beautiful wedding together. What made it so special was that Michaella anticipated and met a multitude of needs I didn't even know I had in the lead-up and execution of the event, ranging from asking all the right questions, tracking the timeline to make sure everything that was important to me got done in time, and chasing down details so nothing fell through the cracks, to providing a positive spirit, a "can-do" problem-solving attitude, and an attunement to my values that made it a pleasure to work with her and helped me navigate the stresses involved in planning a wedding. Everything she did supported the quality and smooth execution of the special day, from helping the venue think through a rain plan to creating gorgeous flower arrangements. They did an amazing job helping to make our day special and helping us stay within our budget. They quickly learned what was important to us and helped us figure out the things we didn’t care about but still needed to decide. We definitely needed these organizational skills!
