Lou did a great job - we provided a list of songs for our dinner hour and a list of suggested songs for the dancing. He played almost everything we wanted. He did allow for guest requests, which is alright if you don't mind what your guests will choose.

He does do some old school things - garter toss (didn't do), dollar dance (didn't do) and the generation dance (we did do, and everyone loved it).

He was very professional and was readily available the weeks before the wedding for meetings.

Rockin Lou was my college DJ, and since I was getting married nearby, I contacted him for my wedding too! He was unavailable on the night of my event but sent DJ Mr Big instead.

Mr Big played great party music and stayed very close to the genres/specific selections that we requested beforehand. Everyone had a fantastic time and he didn't narrate too much, which was nice.

It was difficult to get in touch with either Lou or Mr. Big beforehand, but part of that was due to the fact that i don't live in the area and was only available for face-to-face meetings a few times in the months leading up to the wedding. We actually didn't get to meet Mr. Big prior to the night of the wedding, but it worked out just fine! We sent lots of detailed emails and talked on the phone once beforehand, so he knew what we wanted.

Overall, a great value for the price and a fun time!

Rockin Lou was our college DJ, so since we were getting married in our college town, he was an excellent choice.

Lou kept the dance floor full and the music pleased all age groups. I suspect our dance floor would have been full from any music, but Lou kept the beat up!

Lou is somewhat hard to get a hold of because he runs his own bar and nightclub in the area and is very busy, but when your event nears he is responsive.

He has a somewhat old-fashion view of wedding "events" like the garter, generations dance, and dollar dance...none of which we did. He stayed very close to the songs we suggested and we were happy with the outcome.

He is not very willing to take requests from the crowd, which can be a good thing if your guests request music you don't like. And I was surprised by some of his choices for dinner music like "every rose has its thorns".

All in all, our night was a blast and Lou was a great background DJ. I was pleased that he did not speak/announce too much and he kept the dance floor full.
