Lone Wulff Ranch is a gorgeous vintage wedding venue in Sacramento, California. Rachel Wulff, a true country girl at heart who grew up on the property, is the founder and owner of the business. Rachel spent many years away, working as a TV and radio host and producer. During that time, she began to renovate homes. Now she is living her dream after renovating her family abode, starting a business there, and becoming a mother. Lone Wulff Ranch has been in her family for nearly a century. She is honored to host couples, their families and friends as they celebrate their special day on the land she loves.
Facilities and Capacity
Lone Wulff Ranch provides a wide selection of areas where couples can host their wedding party. The main barn is the most popular, a wonderfully rustic renovation that can comfortably accommodate 150 guests. Newlyweds can customize the barn as they see fit, with space for catering, guests, DJ, band, and Photo Booth in and around the structure. Permanent overhead LED lights are fitted inside and outside the barn, and golden sunlight filters through the wooden slates. The ranch offers large open fields and two patio areas, ideal for a ceremony in the sun and a relaxing cocktail hour as guests enjoy the tranquil vibes and panoramic views. The venue lends itself to endless picturesque photography locations, whether under the big tree or next to the historic farm house that has stood firm for more than 150 years. This private country venue has a rural feel, yet it is just minutes away from Downtown Davis.

2025 October Wedding
In planning the big day Rachel was extremely prompt and professional. She has seen A LOT and she knows what to prepare you for. Her vendor list is top tier, but she lets you book outside of her list if you want which is nice if you want the flexibility. The staff on site during the wedding is amazing. Everyone is all in on you having a magical day and it really shows. The only issue (that I know of, at least) on our wedding day was that the bathroom generator ran out of gas, but Rachel was immediately on it and refilled it in a matter of minutes.
This venue has SO MUCH to offer. If it fits your vision, book it. There is so much customization on this property, they have a prop den if you want to keep it easy. We got so many compliments on the venue and how balanced it is for guests. It gives you separate ceremony and reception space all on one property allowing for a seamless experience for everyone. The barn critters were such a fun addition for us, but Rachel also was extremely mindful that they were part of our vision for the day.
I will always sing the praises of Rachel and this venue, absolutely would recommend.

Amazing Venue!
We got married at the Lone Wulff Ranch October 19th, and it was everything we hoped and dreamed of! This historic venue is absolutely stunning and has unlimited decor opportunities due to the vast amount of space. This place fit our vision perfectly. It was just the right amount of rustic and vintage plus the big tree brought the perfect fall vibe! Our photographer had so many different photo spots to choose from as well.
We absolutely loved the warm welcoming atmosphere Rachel created, it made not only us but all our family and friends feel like we were at home. Plus who doesn’t love a place with goats, our guests absolutely loved them!
We chose the classic package and were extremely satisfied! It included almost everything we needed, rentals of linens, tables (which we were able to upgrade to these amazing farmhouse tables!), chairs, bartender, plates, silverware and glassware, etc. having everything included in a package helped make planning so much easier! Plus since we were able to swap out the DJ in the package (we already had our own DJ in mind) for this beautiful draping of the barn and chandeliers! Also how awesome is it that we got the venue for 3 days which really helped with setting up as much possible the day before and able to come back the next day after for clean up. Out of all the venues I toured Lone Wulff was the only that offered that option! It made it so we didn’t feel rushed day of or at the end of the night! Rachel was awesome to say the least and super accommodating every step of the way, if any issue or question arose she was there to answer any questions and help. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Lone Wulff, it made every dream and vision come to life and gave us the most special wedding day. We truly thank Rachel and her team for everything, it was all we could hope for!
October Wedding
Rachel, the owner was extremely helpful every step of the way. The venue is beautiful with tons of space and gives you a lot of flexibility for how you'd like to structure your wedding. The weekend rental also gave us the opportunity to have a Friday event. Leading up to our wedding, the forecast was low-to-mid 80s and then a heat wave rolled in and it ended up being 100 degrees, which was a nightmare scenario for me. It was honestly completely fine under the shade of the tree, where the temp was registering in the low 80s. The shade cast by the tree covered every one of our 135 guests, with room to spare. The area in front of the barn was also shaded by the time we had our cocktail hour.
I'd highly recommend Lone Wulff Ranch to anyone even remotely interested. It allows you to personalize your wedding in a DIY style without being completely on your own. Depending on package, you'll have certain inclusions, and Rachel's extensive list of contacts makes planning much easier. One look at the grounds should be enough to convince you, but we can also personally vouch for Rachel's helpfulness and kindness.
