My husband and I had a wonderful experience with James photographing our wedding at the Arts Club in Washington, DC and engagement shot around the National Mall. My husband was dreading getting his photograph taken, but James made him feel immediately at ease. When it ended up pouring during our schedule time for photos, James was creative in thinking about solutions for us and had already scoped out some spots, which was really appreciated. The photos are incredible and really captured our style and the vibe of our wedding day. We highly recommend James, and will cherish the photos that he took for years to come!

James photographed our friends' wedding and they were very happy with their photos and experience, so we decided to go with them as well.. and so happy we did, between flexibility, photo quality, responsiveness (very quick, detailed responses to my long rambling emails.. poor guy!), efficiency on the day of, and most of all.. personality!

They showed up early and stayed late and were super flexible when weather got in the way of our original photo plans. Come the week and day of.. it's so nice to have someone responsive and flexible to ease your mind!

When not taking formal photos, both our friends and we had the experience of not even noticing that James and Roger were present. At some weddings, the photographer gets in the way and detracts from the experience.. not the case here at all. I don't know how they did it, honestly! When we were hanging out with James and Roger and taking formal shots, wedding party fun shots or just bride & groom shots, they kept us laughing and relaxed all day.. which meant our photos turned out even better. No forced smiles or awkward poses, as we've experienced with other weddings.

And before we knew it, we had 80-something beautifully edited photos on Facebook to share with family and friends! Very quick turnaround on the DVDs and album as well. Don't look any further.. book James today!

James was amazing!!! He was our wedding photographer in June. He was so easy to work with throughout the planning process and very flexible. On our wedding day, he was fun, creative, and efficient. We absolutely love the photos we have received! He does beautiful work. Not only that, but James went above and beyond during our reception. My husband and I highly recommend James Linkowitz photography. He had many of packages available for the amount of pictures you want. He traveled to Charlottesville for our engagement pictures, we had a bridal portrait session and he shot the entire wedding. James Linkowitz was in contact with us with each email in less than 24 hours, is extremely friendly, flexible and his work is stunning. CDs with photographs were sent within the week of shooting to myself and families and the event was complete with a leather bound book of the wedding. His pictures are gorgeous and we highly recommend him as a photographer.

My husband and I hate having our pictures taken because we both feel like it is forced and makes us uncomfortable but Jim and his assistant made us feel at ease. Jim captured great moments for us and we were so happy with all of the beautiful pictures. He had pictures for us to view so quick as well. We enjoyed looking at them on our honeymoon. Jim was absolutely fantastic. His shots were beautiful, he was unbelievably quick in getting the pictures back to us and was so great to work with. He really listened to the style of pictures that we wanted and picked the perfect locations, poses and edits for us. It was wonderful having a photographer who was as flexible and personable as Jim. His friendly personality made it FUN to take pictures (and we had a large crowd) and I felt like he genuinely wanted us to have a good time. It makes such a difference when people are comfortable and laughing during photo sessions - it allowed him to capture some really great moments. Our engagement pictures and wedding pictures are beautiful and we will treasure them forever. One of my bridesmaids has already booked Jim for her wedding and other friends are asking about him!
