Simply The Best!
We love Jim! He provided us with so many memories that we will cherish forever. He made a stressful process fun and efficient. He has a quick turnaround time to receive your pics from your big day! Wonderful experience with James!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience with James photographing our wedding at the Arts Club in Washington, DC and engagement shot around the National Mall. My husband was dreading getting his photograph taken, but James made him feel immediately at ease. When it ended up pouring during our schedule time for photos, James was creative in thinking about solutions for us and had already scoped out some spots, which was really appreciated. The photos are incredible and really captured our style and the vibe of our wedding day. We can't say enough good things about James Linkowitz and his assistant Roger! James photographed our friends' wedding and they were very happy with their photos and experience, so we decided to go with them as well.. and so happy we did, between flexibility, photo quality, responsiveness (very quick, detailed responses to my long rambling emails.. poor guy!), efficiency on the day of, and most of all.. personality!
They showed up early and stayed late and were super flexible when weather got in the way of our original photo plans. Come the week and day of.. it's so nice to have someone responsive and flexible to ease your mind!
When not taking formal photos, both our friends and we had the experience of not even noticing that James and Roger were present. At some weddings, the photographer gets in the way and detracts from the experience.. not the case here at all. I don't know how they did it, honestly! When we were hanging out with James and Roger and taking formal shots, wedding party fun shots or just bride & groom shots, they kept us laughing and relaxed all day.. which meant our photos turned out even better. No forced smiles or awkward poses, as we've experienced with other weddings.
And before we knew it, we had 80-something beautifully edited photos on Facebook to share with family and friends! Very quick turnaround on the DVDs and album as well. James was amazing!!! He was our wedding photographer in June. He was so easy to work with throughout the planning process and very flexible. On our wedding day, he was fun, creative, and efficient. We absolutely love the photos we have received! He does beautiful work. Not only that, but James went above and beyond during our reception. Our wedding timeline did not exactly go according to plan due to weather, but James was a huge help throughout the night making sure we enjoyed every moment. He made us feel relaxed while at the same time taking some great photos. I definitely would recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!James was amazing!!! Jim was absolutely fantastic. His shots were beautiful, he was unbelievably quick in getting the pictures back to us and was so great to work with. He really listened to the style of pictures that we wanted and picked the perfect locations, poses and edits for us. It was wonderful having a photographer who was as flexible and personable as Jim. His friendly personality made it FUN to take pictures (and we had a large crowd) and I felt like he genuinely wanted us to have a good time. It makes such a difference when people are comfortable and laughing during photo sessions - it allowed him to capture some really great moments. Our engagement pictures and wedding pictures are beautiful and we will treasure them forever. One of my bridesmaids has already booked Jim for her wedding and other friends are asking about him! I'm so thankful that Jim was our photographer- we could not have had a better photographer.Jim was absolutely fantastic. James Linkowitz was our photographer for our wedding in June. It was the most amazing, easy, affordable experience we could have imagined. Mr. Linkowitz has a customer for life with us! I did my bridal portraits after the wedding and his flexibility is remarkable. Our wedding pictures got lost in the mail and he hand delivered them to us. James Linkowitz is an amazing photographer! He photographed our engagement photos, my bridal portraits and our wedding. He had amazing vision and was so fun to work with! Everyone commented that he made them feel comfortable and relaxed, not staged! Once we got the photos back, we couldn't pick just one that we loved -- they were all exceptional! My husband and I hate having our pictures taken because we both feel like it is forced and makes us uncomfortable but Jim and his assistant made us feel at ease. Jim captured great moments for us and we were so happy with all of the beautiful pictures. He had pictures for us to view so quick as well. We enjoyed looking at them on our honeymoon. It was awesome. My husband and I highly recommend James Linkowitz photography. He had many of packages available for the amount of pictures you want. He traveled to Charlottesville for our engagement pictures, we had a bridal portrait session and he shot the entire wedding. James Linkowitz was in contact with us with each email in less than 24 hours, is extremely friendly, flexible and his work is stunning. CDs with photographs were sent within the week of shooting to myself and families and the event was complete with a leather bound book of the wedding. His pictures are gorgeous and we highly recommend him as a photographer.My husband and I highly recommend James Linkowitz photography. I had the pleasure of attending Elementary school, High school and part of college with Jim. He really is fantastic. Check out his website and his work speaks for itself. We couldn't be happier with our engagement and wedding photos. For our engagement session we ended up changing the date on him 3 times, but he worked with us and even traveled from Richmond to Northern Virginia to do our photos session in Old Town Alexandria, in December, in the cold. We got our engagement photos so quickly, and we were so incredibly happy with the results. Jim is just incredible at what he does. He knows what looks good. He'll give you direction in poses and always gets the perfect shots. Our wedding was hectic and it was difficult to get the families together and in the same place and moving fast enough to get all of our formal shots, but Jim was patient and always smiling. There were several moments when people jumped in to get their own shots in the middle of Jim trying to take formal shots, but he was patient and let them take their photos and just continued on. We received our pictures about 2 weeks following the wedding and Jim really managed to capture everything. He is just incredibly talented and absolutely wonderful to know and work with. I definitely recommend him for every big life event! I considered myself VERY picky when choosing all of my wedding vendors, but from day one, I knew I had made the right choice with Linkowitz Photography. Being a very detail oriented bride, responsiveness, timeliness, and organization were extremely important to me. James never made me sweat it out wondering when I was going to hear from him and I can't stress the importance of that. In addition, we had quite a lengthy list of pictures we wanted snapped on our big day and it went incredibly smoothly, despite inclement weather. We even made it to our reception before the designated time that James had estimated for us. Most importantly, our pictures were gorgeous. James is a true artist and captured some incredibly creative shots that we will treasure forever. I've received countless compliments and couldn't be more proud to show off the snapshots of our big day. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is, Linkowitz Photography is an absolute steal for the price. James saved me after my contract with another, less professional photographer fell through (7 months before my Big Day). He always responded quickly to any questions I had via email. My discs with my pics were waiting for me when I returned from my honeymoon. Our wedding and reception was 5 1/2 hours long, he took 658 pictures. He didn't eat or drink at the reception, all he did was walk around and shoot all night. The pictures were excellent and gave my new hubby and I all the precious memories we wanted so badly. He has a great personality and made us feel totally at ease. It was so easy to trust him to get all the shots we could hope for. And he got so much more! Also, very willing to work with your schedule, which was great for our flaky habits.

James did a great job at our wedding! He and his assitant were very easy to work with. The next day a blog post was done capturing some important parts of the day and was a nice preview for the almost 700 pic DVD we received after our honeymoon! James captured all the moments and laughed along with our crazy family and friends! I highly recommend him to everyone!James did a great job at our wedding! James was wonderful to work with and he provided an amazing service for a great price. We were able to have the very artistic looking photos that we wanted and they were within our price-range.
James was attentive and responsive and we had a CD of all of the wedding photos when we returned home from our honeymoon. He also posted some shots of the wedding on his blog the day after the wedding!
Finally it should be noted that James worked with us to put together a list of all people who should be photographed, and when the craziness of the wedding day came and all plans went out the window, he worked with us on the spot to rework the schedule.

James was FANTASTIC! He was an awesome photographer to have around and very professional. My husband and I had him do our engagements, my bridals, and our wedding! We were always shocked at how amazing his pictures came out and how fast he was at getting them to us. I would recommend him to ANYONE! We were blown away by everything that he has done for us. We have recommend him to all of our close friends and know that they will be as equally satisfied as we are.
James is also punctual, flexible, and friendly. I have never had professional pictures taken of me before, but James made me feel at ease. He is also just a fun person to be around.
