We spoke with many photographers, but after speaking with Lindsay and seeing her work, we knew instantly that she was the right fit for us.
We aren't usually very comfortable in front of the camera, but Lindsay made both our engagement shoot and wedding day feel so fun and carefree.
On our wedding day, it turned out to be pouring rain and very windy. Lindsay was right on time, despite having to drive on the roads, and was a really calming presence. She did an excellent job of adjusting all our photo plans for the day on the fly and was able to perfectly capture the beauty of a rainy day on Cape Cod — getting dramatic outside shots when the rain let up, and making the indoor shots feel warm and special, too. We loved working with Lindsay and would recommend her to anyone!

I've been a fan of Lindsay Hackney's work for years, so when it came time to choose a wedding photographer, there was no question in my mind—she was the one. I've admired her talent long before I even met my now-husband! Our engagement shoot with Lindsay was truly perfect. Despite the challenge of our hyperactive dog lol and shooting at two different locations the photos came out gorgeous!

On our wedding day, Lindsays assistant Kendra went above and beyond to ensure we got the perfect shots. It rained all day and I know how much weather can affect lighting and photo conditions however, Kendra knocked it out of the park. Despite the weather, our photos turned out absolutely outstanding. Hiring Lindsay as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions my husband and I made during the planning process -- and we loved all our vendors! From our initial phone call, early on, Lindsay was warm and responsive to what mattered most to us about our wedding. She had incredibly helpful insights about photographic priorities (namely, she gently persuaded us to take more time with some portraits and we are so glad that she did). On the day, both she and her husband Tim were wonderful to have around: they were just as warm and friendly in person as in our planning conversations, and they also managed to blend into the activity such that we weren't overly aware of pictures being taken. Magic! The photos themselves are gorgeous, personal, and thoughtfully done. We got married in June 2022 in Bristol, RI and had the ABSOLUTE PLEASURE of having Lindsay and her husband Tim as our wedding photographers. We first connected with Lindsay in winter of 2020 and immediately knew she was the photographer for us - not only is she extremely talented (her incredible work speaks for itself!!!!) but she has the most calming, positive presence which was something we 100% needed for our wedding day. We were also lucky enough to have Lindsay take our engagement pictures - meeting in person and getting to know each other before the wedding was so crucial and further confirmed that we made the perfect choice to have Lindsay as our photographer. She made us feel comfortable right away and when the wedding day came it was like we got to see an old friend!!! After explaining to Lindsay our unique family dynamic, she understood immediately and reassured us that she would take the lead on our wedding day and boy did she EVER!!! We were (and are) so grateful to have had her and Tim by our side all day - Tim in particular made the groomsmen feel comfortable in front of the camera while they were getting ready (which is no easy feat...) and coordinated getting the groom to the first look spot right on time (also no easy feat...). Just wow. Lindsay is incredible. Absolutely don't hesitate in hiring her. She did our engagement photos and wedding photos. She made it so much fun for us. She is directive, funny and quick--- we didn't need to spend all day taking photos--- She got great pictures fast and limited how much time we needed to spend doing staged photos. The first moment I saw Lindsay’s work, I knew she was the one. She was the very first vendor we booked for our wedding. From the beginning of our engagement photo shoot, she made us feel so comfortable. I truly didn’t think the pictures could get any better. But then came the wedding. My husband Eddy and I got married in May in Boston, MA at The Park Plaza. Lindsay absolutely blew us away. She is professional, creative, and kind. She was there every step of the way throughout the entire wedding process from meeting up to discuss the vision, to follow up calls. During the wedding, she brought me a sense of calmness. I don’t think I could have done it without her! She truly made me feel like an absolute queen. And the pictures….I mean they are truly perfect. She understood the vision completely.
