From our preliminary tasting to dinner on the big day, Le Papillon consistently delivered an exceptional dining experience. As self-proclaimed foodies, having amazing food and drinks was a key priority, and they truly exceeded our expectations. The hardest part of working with them was narrowing down our final menu because everything at our tasting was delicious!

The service was just as impressive as the food. We felt so well taken care of throughout the day. The team thoughtfully set aside hors d’oeuvres from cocktail hour for us to enjoy post-ceremony and even brought extra to our table during dinner because we loved them so much.

The bar service was impeccable as well. Between our signature cocktails and some special requests for the bar, Le Papillion was very accommodating and we received numerous complements from our guests.

We especially loved working with Tamera. She was incredibly patient, thorough, and responsive to all our questions. Every interaction felt warm and professional. Both she and Mike, the owner, checked on us throughout the evening to ensure our experience was perfect. As a final thoughtful touch, they even sent us home with boxed dinners and dessert for the next day, which we deeply appreciated.
We can’t recommend Le Papillon enough. Their attention to detail, hospitality, and, of course, incredible food made our wedding meal one to remember. We look forward to returning to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!

We chose Le Papillon as our waitstaff and bartending service for our wedding. We were so lucky to be able to work with Tamera and her team. They answered all our questions leading up to the wedding and flawlessly prepared all our tableware and table top decorations.

We had the pleasure to see Tamera during our wedding and seeing her work with her staff was incredible. All the guests' food arrived with ease and the waitstaff were extremely professional. The food and drinks came out so quick that the guests didn't even have a chance to see the bottom of their glass of wine.

The bartender was also incredible. He was able to serve all 150 of our thirsty guests and the cocktails were on par with a high quality cocktail lounge. I highly recommend working with Le Papillon for your catering and waitstaff needs!

Le Papillon was a fantastic caterer for our wedding at Nestldown in Los Gatos, CA. Unlike other catering companies, Le Papillon is actually first and foremost a beautiful upscale restaurant in San Jose. And from the beginning, they treated us like guests of honor. Our tasting was a multi-multi-multi course dinner with free wine and top tier service - a good example of what was to come. The food was excellent, from every one of the hors d'oeuvres to the mains, and their service was unmatched. This carried over beautifully to our wedding day, where even mass produced for 100 guests, the food did not skip a beat and was just as good as the day we tried it. The table service on our wedding day was as good as we’ve seen at Michelin star restaurants, everyone in black tie and serving entire tables simultaneously. Every guest felt very cared for, and LOVED the food. They were also super accommodating of dietary restrictions, marking down the guests location and delivering their specialized plate that was just as delicious as the rest of the dishes. We highly recommend Le Papillon for catering your event or wedding.

We couldn't imagine anything better than what LP provided for our wedding! All the food and service is perfect and even exceeded our expectation.
We had our first tasting with them in their restaurant, it was such a great experience trying all their food options and talking with Mike. Right away we decided to book with them and there is no need to try anyone else. Not only do they offer plated service, it is also cheaper than all other caterers on our venue's list.
We were communicating with Tamera the whole time and she was very knowledgeable and responsive. She also handled the rentals for us so we have one less thing to manage. Every detail on the day is exactly as we requested.
We had a first course salad, double main course with fish and steak, and also got hors d'oeuvres, full bar service and dessert Petite Fours. Everything is beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The main dish portion is generous and there are so many dessert varieties that I couldn't eat them all. I especially like how they incorporate truffle into many dishes, tastes so good and also makes the dinner feel more luxurious. They also accommodated all our guests' special requests, and the vegetarian option is sooo good it might even be better than the regular dish.
We had a few no-show guests, and they boxed their food and gave us to take home along with snacks and wine. This way we didn't waste our money and got to enjoy our wedding food for a few more days.
We heard from so many guests about how good the food is, even those who usually don't eat this kind of cuisine. Everyone is very impressed.
It's a pity that we could only hire them once because we only have one wedding, but luckily we can still enjoy their food in the restaurant. Will definitely go there in the future to celebrate other important events.

Everyone was so pleased with the delicious food and wonderful catering from Le Papillon! Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the meal. We hired LP for our wedding in Saratoga on July 20th, and they were amazing! We had a great experience working with Tamera and Amanda (and Mike!) throughout the process. From the incredible tasting to final menu selection and details, LP was responsive and always stayed true to their high level of service. I have attended and worked many weddings, and I have NEVER experienced such high quality food and service! Our guests raved about the meal, and we are still getting compliments on it! A perfect example of their service: as our best man and maid of honor were both very nervous for their toasts, neither of them touched their entrees. LP staff noticed this and fired them two completely new entrees post-speeches so they could enjoy a hot meal. This is such an amazing thing to notice and really speaks to their attention to detail and level of service. LP was a great choice for wedding!

Le Papillon provided the catering for our wedding at Thomas Fogarty Winery in May 2018. My husband and I were completely blown away by the phenomenal service and product that Mike, Tamera and their entire team provided. I can not believe how long it's taken me to write this review, considering how truly amazing our experience was with them. They are by far the wedding vendor that COMPLETELY exceeded every expectation. Our guests were absolutely raving about the food and I still get asked about it 10 months later. I personally have never attended a wedding with a better caterer (and no, I would not say that about all of our vendors so this is not personal planning bias :) ). They were professional, organized, accommodating (customized several aspects of the menu based on our tastes and desire for some South Asian spices/fusion elements in the menu) and the food was just A++. Tamera was onsite the entire time, her setup was flawless and she made sure that my husband and I had a private appetizer tray in our private area (for a few moments together after the ceremony), that we actually had a chance to eat during the speeches and made sure that some awesome "take home boxes" were already packed and waiting in our get-away car at the end of the night. Thank you so much for being our ABSOLUTE favorite wedding vendor and for making such an important night in our lives so special and memorable. What stuck with me most is that our guests told us that they felt so well taken care of by being served such an elegant, flavorful and perfectly executed meal - that means so much when all the most precious people in our lives took the time to come together (some from very far away) to celebrate our milestone. Le Papillon was definitely the single best decision we made in our entire wedding planning (besides choosing each other of course :) ).

If you want the BEST food for your wedding, 10000% hands down you need to hire Le Papillon to cater your wedding! Our guests raved for MONTHS after the wedding about how good the food was! In addition all their staff were so kind and professional. My husband and I appreciated that they even brought up a tray of our hor d’ouvres and glasses of champagne to the bridal suite for us so that we could actually enjoy it during cocktail hour! Their pricing is also very competitive compared to other Bay Area wedding caterers we inquired with but Le Papillon’s food highly surpassed theirs in terms of quality! You will not regret hiring Le Papillon for your wedding!

To say that the food and service of Le Papillon is excellent would be an understatement! We were told that Le Papillon catering is exactly like dining at their restaurant – that we could expect the same quality and inventiveness, the same impeccable service and the same attention to detail on the day of our event – al fresco, for dozens of guests, simultaneously. We could not have been more pleased! From the passed appetizers, to the main course, and on to dessert, every bite was expertly prepared and presented. Tamera and her team kept on eye on every detail, and provided many special touches for the bride and groom. And we received rave reviews from our guests – many who commented it was not only the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding, but the best food they had ever eaten – period.

I love these guys. My guests were very impressed as was I. They are a bit pricey but SO worth it. The value for the quality of the food and presentation is completely woth it.
