Aron and Kathryn were honestly amazing! Not only were they very responsive, they took initiative and were always 10 steps ahead. We choose the Memoir Package and we added the Drone footage, which is the highest package they offered and we were absolutely blown away! They worked really well with the photographer that we used, almost as if they had really good chemistry. They were super fun to be with and truly made the our wedding day one to remember. Shortly after coming back from our honeymoon, they had our Wedding Video completed. Not only was the turn around time very quick, they do quality work and exceeded all of our expectations. We gave them a list of what we wanted in our wedding video and every single item on the list was included in a very creative and tasteful manner. I truly appreciate their HIGH QUALITY work and FAST Turnaround. I’ve heard nightmare stories about other videographers taking 6-18 months to finish people’s wedding video, but not with Last Decade Weddings, super professional and a pleasure to have had worked with. Aaron and Katherine filmed my wedding in July of 2021. We wanted to capture footage from different locations - the morning of at an off-site location, the first look along the lakefront, multiple photography locations and then our outdoor wedding venue.

We were initially compelled by the work samples - and they totally delivered! Their attention to detail was awesome, they were able to replicate the exact style/look/feel I wanted and above all our footage was not just a regurgitation of our day - it was a story, delivering both the content itself and the emotions of the event. They were very easy to work with - highly responsive, very engaged and prompt. I would absolutely recommend them!

We hired Last Decade Weddings to film our reverse wedding in downtown Barrington, Illinois on Labor Day weekend. It was a sunny Sunday in early autumn and our videographers Aron and Josh were the PERFECT fit for our untraditional timeline (luncheon first + ceremony second + cocktail/dance reception finale) in a historically renovated house.

I met Aron personally some years ago when I was interning on a creative communications team that he was a contractor for at the time, and have been following his work for years ever since on Instagram (@lastdecadeweddings + @lastdecadefilms) because I love his expertise on lighting and candid shooting. As people of Christian faith, my husband and I wanted someone with an intentional personality who works in meaningful ways, and LDW fit the bill.

Aron was our main point of contact via email throughout the planning process and he was sincere, respectful, encouraging and efficient the entire time. I loved working with him because every communication reminded me that he cared, listened, and was open. He was also a great team player, coordinating extensively with our wedding planner and vendors to bring our wedding to life. From beginning to end everything felt like true collaboration.

Aron was also as invested as we were in creating our timeline, ensuring we had time for the shots we wanted and understanding our timing and priorities. For example, it was important to me and my spouse to keep our ceremony sacramental and holy so we asked all photographers/videographers to not stand in the middle of the aisle between my husband at the altar and me as I walked down the aisle—we wanted to have undivided eyes on only each other and not a camera (: they did just that, and still somehow managed to make that moment seem so ethereal and magical in the final video.

On our big day, Aron and Josh posed us naturally and complimented us genuinely in a way where we felt truly beautiful and handsome. They did everything they could to empower and coach us into really just feeling like our best selves. At no point did we feel self-conscious, which is a miracle really because we struggle with being in the spotlight sometimes! They meshed incredibly well with our photographers, too, which made the day’s events feel effortless and easygoing—working as one unit, we were blessed to have such a cohesive dream team that could not only capture the love but feel the love at the same time.

I knew for a pandemic wedding that a quality videographer was essential and worth every cent. As we only had 65 guests, we wanted to be able to share the day with so many loved ones who could not be there with us. The end product is beautiful beyond comparison, and it has welled up tears in the eyes of almost everyone we have shown it to thus far. Aron’s editing skills are impeccable— he knows how to capture a story and tell it in a classic way.

We will treasure our video for a lifetime, and relish in showing our grandchildren our special day. Thank you Last Decade Weddings!

Within a few minutes of speaking with Aron and Kathryn, we had a feeling that they would be easy to work with—and we were right! Aron ended up spending most of the day with us, and even months later, my family and friends still talk about how nice and easygoing he was; not to mention how beautifully our video turned out!
