Best Venue in Albuquerque
My fiance and I looked at everything Albuquerque had to offer, and were so happy we went with Las Puertas. The staff is incredibly accommodating, the space is beautiful, and the capacity is greater than most places we looked. Lonnie, who managed the space, has an amazing eye for both color and the ability to set up the space for however many people are planning on attending. The ease when it came to setting up sound equipment, getting alcohol into the space, as well as bringing in catering made me think again and again how glad I was that we went with them.Sent on 04/21/2020

Best Wedding Ever
My husband and I got married at Las Puertas. If we could do it all over again, we would choose Puertas 100 times over. This place is great, it's rustic, romantic, and spacious. We had 225 people there and no problems whatsoever. That being said, it is also just fine for smaller gatherings. I've been there before with fewer people and the space does not feel too big for a small crowd either. Ample space for dancing too, very important to us. Nothing ever felt cramped with the dance floor, dj, catering, tables, and all those guests. Acoustics are decent as well, it never felt too loud or echo-y with all those people.
They have a large room and a smaller room that connect, so I believe you can rent one or the other or both. We used both, the smaller one for the ceremony and the large for the reception. There are also some side rooms and bathrooms (of course) that are handy for changing, getting your bridal party together and hiding from the guests beforehand. I like that I could do everything I needed to, ceremony and reception, inside. Outdoor weddings are gorgeous when the weather cooperates, but the peace of mind you gain by removing that variable is invaluable. And as it turned out, the weather got real windy, dusty and nasty that day. But we were just fine inside.
We had very little decorating to do, IMO the space is nearly ready to go. They usually have lights up anyway, and the huge old doors that line the walls are just gorgeous. There are huge red velvet curtains around that made for some fun pictures and backdrops. Even the entrance to the venue is amazing. Its one of my favorite parts about it. It has an old, vintage address sign out front and the street looks dilapidated and industrial. You have no idea when you walk in that you will enter a completely different and enchanting space.
Everything went smoothly and it was truly one of the best, and not stressful at all (not being sarcastic) days of our lives. The number one comment I got from A TON of my guests was "wow, this venue is amazing! How did you find this??". Many people said they felt like had stepped into another world. It was truly beautiful. Highly recommend. Five stars all around.Sent on 02/08/2020
