Embedded between tranquil mountains is the Lake Valhalla Club wedding venue located in the Montville, New Jersey area. The Tudor-style house specializes in hosting rustic yet elegant celebrations with picturesque views. The private property is great for couples searching for a location rich in history with enchanting landscapes as far as the eye can see.
Facilities and Capacity
Lake Valhalla Club offers both indoor and outdoor event space for wedding celebrations. During the warm months, ceremonies and cocktail hours can be held outside. Couples can choose from a variety of outdoor locations found across the grounds, including areas with waterfront views. The outdoor spaces also feature sandy beaches, canopy treelines, and shimmering fountains. Inside the clubhouse, a ballroom boasting vaulted wood ceilings and two stone fireplaces can be found. The opulent room can host up to 225 guests for grand wedding celebrations. Located within the ballroom is a balcony with a wood banister and a birdseye view of the reception hall. The upper area reveals fantastic views of the 90-acre lake and majestic mountains.
The year-round facility focuses on hosting only one event per day. The team strives to provide memorable experiences with attentive service all throughout the process. They are happy to create unforgettable memories and have equipment available such as rowboats and paddleboats for creative photo sessions. In addition, the venue also offers access to their linens, flatware, chairs, tables, and more.
All cuisine is prepared on-site by the Executive Chef, David Augenti, and his team. David specializes in creating custom menus with premium beverages and gourmet dishes. The fine cuisine can be served in various ways including, hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hours, plated dinners, food displays, and more. Couples can also choose between an open bar or a cash bar with fine wines, beers, and liquors.
Before the clubhouse was erected, the land was named Valhalla by the First Nations. In the ancient Norsemen language, the name translates to the “dwelling place of the Gods.” Later in the 1930s, the stunning house was built on the divine land with the supervision of the head architect, Mr. Francis G. Hasselman. To preserve the prestige of the community, no building was permitted to cost less than 5,000 dollars, a dear sum for its time. No expense was spared while developing the Lake Valhalla Club, and once it opened its doors it entertainment the likes of many families. The house provided a hub for guests to enjoy outdoor activities such as, tennis, fishing, boating, skating, and socializing with likeminded people.

Dream Wedding Venue with Exceptional Staff!
Wow - what an amazing experience working with the staff and crew at Lake Valhalla, especially during a pandemic. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the business/operations manager Kristine Howar made the entire process so easy and personable. Absolutely no drama or hiccups on our actual wedding day, and our guests still can't stop talking about attending the "best party ever." Huge shout-out to the awesome bartenders who were able to keep-up with our rather rambunctious group. And working with the Maitre' D Claudio was an absolute pleasure - he truly made me feel like the luckiest bride. We can't wait to go back to Lake Valhalla to celebrate all future anniversaries.Sent on 11/12/2020

Amazing Wedding Day
From the moment my husband and I met with Kristine (who is so sweet and the best!), we knew that Lake Valhalla Club was the place we wanted to get married. First of all, it is a gorgeous venue. They advertise this venue as rustic elegance, and it truly is. The lake alone is beautiful, but the rustic charm inside and out with exposed beams, fireplaces, etc. make this venue one of a kind. On top of the beauty, the staff are truly what make Valhalla club the best. Claudio, the banquet manager, truly is an amazing maitre d. He makes sure that everything runs smoothly from lining everyone up, making sure everything is decorated perfectly, making sure the bride & groom are on point with their attire at all times etc. In addition, the wait staff and bartenders were also the best. Our guests keep telling us what an amazing time they had. We can't THANK YOU ALL enough for an unforgettable experience on our special day.Sent on 11/02/2020

Amazing staff and beautiful place.
I do not even know where to begin. First off, the venue is gorgeous! We were looking for a rustic look and got exactly that at lake Valhalla. The gorgeous fireplaces and lights above the dance floor gave it such a cozy and romantic look. Kristine and Claudio were amazing to work with. Kristine was so responsive to all inquiries and a pleasure to work with. Claudio was phenomenal. He went above and beyond to help make our day amazing! He was so helpful and took very good care of us on our wedding day. His assistant, Rachel, was so sweet and very helpful too! My husband and I didn’t get to eat at cocktail hour, with saying hi to everyone and taking photos, so she was sweet enough to put a plate together, so that we had something to eat. They really went above and beyond to make our day truly amazing. I highly recommended this venue. We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out. Thank you!!!Sent on 12/01/2019
