Wedding Venue

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Lake Valhalla, and we cannot express how thrilled we are with the entire experience. The venue is absolutely stunning. The picturesque surroundings create an enchanting atmosphere that is simply breathtaking. Our guests were in awe of the beauty and charm that the venue exuded. The staff were exceptional. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, they were professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our wedding was flawless. The wedding coordinator, Daniel, is a true gem. His expertise and experience were evident as he guided us through the planning process, offering valuable insights and suggestions, and their attention to detail ensured that every element of the day was executed seamlessly. Overall, our wedding at Lake Valhalla was a dream come true. The venue's beauty, the exceptional staff, and the attention to detail made it an unforgettable experience for us and our guests. We highly recommend it to any couple looking for a scenic setting to celebrate their special day

A great experience

The most beautiful venue, the food is excellent and plenty of it.
There is a lot of room for the cocktail hour for people to sit inside or out. Very comfortable Rustic atmosphere. The people who run the club are great to work with. Very pleased all around.

I'd choose LVC again 1,000 times

Our wedding day was perfect. Daniel thought of every single detail and executed everything seamlessly. From making sure our cocktail hour was outside (despite potential rain) because it was important to us, to making sure we had enough to eat and drink, to organizing the bridal party/family for intros, speeches, and dances. Multiple people told us it was the best organized wedding they'd ever been to. The venue itself is gorgeous and photos do it no justice. The food is great and the drinks are well made. Coleen was amazing to work with leading up to the wedding-fast and smooth communication every time we reached out. We are so grateful we found this hidden gem and would choose it again every time.

Korpon Wedding 8/19/23

My husband and I had our dream wedding at Lake Valhalla Club on August 19, 2023. This venue went above and beyond for us.

We could not have asked for a more attentive, caring, efficient and experienced maitre'd than Daniel Rodas. Daniel made sure everything ran on schedule, calmed our concerns and thought of every detail! After our photos he made sure we had time alone in the bridal room to eat and relax with all our favorite foods and drinks. We are still talking about what an amazing job Daniel did. He took all the pressure off and we did not worry about anything. He personally took care of anything we needed. Lake Valhalla Club was beautiful and the service for our wedding was out of this world. It was the PERFECT day and this venue is absolutely incredible. I wish I could give more than five stars!

My daughters wedding was perfection.

Dream Wedding

We recently had our wedding at Lake Valhalla Club in Montville, NJ on 10/15/22. We had booked our event over a year and a half ago, so we had a long time to plan for the day. Something that was so awesome about having a wedding there was the complimentary, temporary membership provided. This courtesy allowed us ample time to visit the club for dinner and attend other special events. We became very comfortable with the venue and were always treated with hospitality and respect. Leading up to the event, there was a new Director of Sales hired, Coleen who stepped into her role with ease and was so supportive. She was always available by phone or email to answer any questions and help guide the planning process. The Assistant Banquet Director, Michael was also very supportive and always warm and attentive when we would visit the venue. Just a couple of weeks before our wedding, a new Banquet Director, Daniel was hired. We were very anxious about working with someone new, wondering if he would be able to step in so quickly and manage a successful event. Having over 25 years of experience, Daniel engaged with us with thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. His meticulous and organized nature guided our timeline for the day and brought our dream wedding to life. He attended to us throughout the day, making sure we were well-nurtured and nourished, and ensured that everything ran smoothly. So many of our friends and family members commented about the amazing venue and awesome food. I must also mention the beautiful grounds at Lake Valhalla Club. The lakeside arch and picturesque landscape provided a peaceful, breathtaking canvas for our wedding ceremony and photos. We feel very blessed to have celebrated our most special day at Lake Valhalla Club.

October 8th 2021 wedding

Wow!!!! This place was everything we wanted and more . From the beginning Kristine helped us with any questions and concerns (which was a lot lol) with speedy responses up to the day of the wedding . As for the day of Claudio and Michael made us feel like royalty! The girls and I got there at 11 am to get ready and they got us anything we needed while getting ready. The ceremony and reception was everything we dreamed of and more ! The lake side ceremony and rustic lodge reception was our style! Everyone couldn’t stop talking about the views of the lake and surroundings. All night Claudio and Michael were by our sides if we needed anything at all ! It was the perfect day ❤️

A Hidden Gem in NJ!

If you are looking for a unique, intimate, and lakefront venue for your wedding, look no further than Lake Valhalla Club. The building and grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. There is an old world charm to all of the little details that make this place feel special. The view of the lake is breathtaking from the reception room and ceremony space outside. The food is absolutely the best I’ve ever had at a wedding or banquet type affair. It’s magical that they are able to provide restaurant quality food at that quantity! Kristine and Claudio were both so easy to work with. Kristine is quick to respond and answer every question. And Claudio can run a wedding in his sleep! My guests were blown away by this venue and I couldn’t have imagined our wedding anywhere else!

Dream Wedding Venue with Exceptional Staff!

Wow - what an amazing experience working with the staff and crew at Lake Valhalla, especially during a pandemic. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the business/operations manager Kristine Howar made the entire process so easy and personable. Absolutely no drama or hiccups on our actual wedding day, and our guests still can't stop talking about attending the "best party ever." Huge shout-out to the awesome bartenders who were able to keep-up with our rather rambunctious group. And working with the Maitre' D Claudio was an absolute pleasure - he truly made me feel like the luckiest bride. We can't wait to go back to Lake Valhalla to celebrate all future anniversaries.

Amazing Wedding Day

From the moment my husband and I met with Kristine (who is so sweet and the best!), we knew that Lake Valhalla Club was the place we wanted to get married. First of all, it is a gorgeous venue. They advertise this venue as rustic elegance, and it truly is. The lake alone is beautiful, but the rustic charm inside and out with exposed beams, fireplaces, etc. make this venue one of a kind. On top of the beauty, the staff are truly what make Valhalla club the best. Claudio, the banquet manager, truly is an amazing maitre d. He makes sure that everything runs smoothly from lining everyone up, making sure everything is decorated perfectly, making sure the bride & groom are on point with their attire at all times etc. In addition, the wait staff and bartenders were also the best. Our guests keep telling us what an amazing time they had. We can't THANK YOU ALL enough for an unforgettable experience on our special day.

The Most Beautiful Day & Best Team

We married at Lake Valhalla Club in early October and it was incredible. The service, the decor, the backdrop, the food, I could go on and on, was absolutely perfect. As soon as we were engaged I knew this would be my venue because the inside is just as gorgeous as the outside. It offers such a beautiful ceremony and reception location where guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor settings at the same time. The staff took care of everything and the service from Claudio was beyond expectations. I wish he could be cloned because he was the key to our successful wedding. He was great with our flower girl and ring bearer, even making the ring bearer a customized ice cream sundae and he pulled my husband in to shore after arriving on the boat to the ceremony. I couldn't have imaged getting married anywhere else, this venue is absolutely perfect. We are still hearing compliments about how beautiful our wedding was but for us, the service from Claudio and team is what made our day. Thanks Lake Valhalla Club for everything!

Amazing staff and beautiful place.

I do not even know where to begin. First off, the venue is gorgeous! We were looking for a rustic look and got exactly that at lake Valhalla. The gorgeous fireplaces and lights above the dance floor gave it such a cozy and romantic look. Kristine and Claudio were amazing to work with. Kristine was so responsive to all inquiries and a pleasure to work with. Claudio was phenomenal. He went above and beyond to help make our day amazing! He was so helpful and took very good care of us on our wedding day. His assistant, Rachel, was so sweet and very helpful too! My husband and I didn’t get to eat at cocktail hour, with saying hi to everyone and taking photos, so she was sweet enough to put a plate together, so that we had something to eat. They really went above and beyond to make our day truly amazing. I highly recommended this venue. We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out. Thank you!!!

Absolutely amazing

I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else! Kristine was so incredibly helpful, she made everything so easy and as stress free as possible. The venue inside and out was absolutely perfect, the food was amazing, the staff especially Claudio could not have been better. Claudio was so great and such a big help, constantly checking in to make sure everything was all good and more than happy to help with anything needed. The grounds were stunning, the food was delicious, the drinks were plentiful and i don’t have a single complaint. An absolutely amazing wedding venue!

We had such an incredible wedding at Lake Valhalla on 9/15/2018, everything was absolutely perfect. Claudio went above and beyond for not only us as the bride and groom, but for all of our guests. Side note: my photographers even said to me of all the weddings they have been to, they have never had a Maître D as accommodating.
When picking our venue, we had a few things that were important to us, affordable, good bar package and good food. The entire process was professional and easy, and leading up to our wedding day Kristine was so accommodating and pleasant to work with. The day before our wedding we dropped off our things, gave directions and when I walked into the venue I could not believe how perfect everything looked. The day of was amazing, all my guests were happy, food was delicious, service incredible and it truly was one of the best nights. I was an indecisive bride and looked at around 10 venues, and I am so glad we landed on Lake Valhalla. The venue does not disappoint and they will do whatever they can to make sure it’s one of the best nights of your life.

Lake Valhalla's team did an amazing job! Claudio was terrific every step of the way, making sure everything was how we envisioned, and then it rained. The staff went out every single rain break to try to dry off the chairs so we could continue having the ceremony outside. My husband and I finally made the call to have it inside, and the staff was amazing again. We ended up having cocktail hour first, and then the ceremony in the ballroom, but it was still picture perfect. My guests didn't have a negative thing to say about anything. The venue was gorgeous, Claudio and his team do anything to make the bride and groom happy, guests were saying that the bartenders remembered their drinks before they even had time to order. It wasn't at all how we hoped it would go, Claudio made it even better than we could ever imagine! I cannot thank him and his amazing team enough for the work that they did for us on our wedding day.

I cannot express how WONDERFUL this venue is! Kristine helped plan with me every step of the way and was always very responsive and helpful. Claudio, our maître d’, was AMAZING on our wedding day. He was so attentive without being overbearing and everything ran so smoothly. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how great the food tasted. The cocktail hour food did not disappoint either, and there was no shortage of food, which has been my experience at other weddings I’ve attended. We had our ceremony and reception here, and it was so easy. One of the best parts of this venue is that everything is included in the price, catering, alcohol, even the cake which they outsource from Palermo’s bakery. If you are planning on getting married in NJ you MUST visit this venue, it was a dream come true!

Amazing time. Our wedding was perfect. Claudio is the absolute best and is very attentative to everything. Our florist forgot to put flowers on our cake and he took care of it without bringing it up to us. He keeps everything stress free. The staff was great and worked with us and our changing schedules. The place was very clean and decorated perfectly for our wedding. This is truly a diamond of a venue location. Recommended to those who love the rustic look.

My husband and I got married the Saturday before Thanksgiving and the Lake Valhalla Club was nothing short of amazing. From our correspondence leading up to the wedding, Kristine was always very responsive and thorough. She and the rest of the staff were so helpful throughout the entire process. Claudio was AMAZING the night of the wedding. He even drove some of the members of our bridal party back to the hotel when the shuttle never showed up - he truly went above and beyond. Guests also raved about how great the food was for both cocktail hour as well as the dinner. I would highly recommend having your wedding at the LVC!

We fell in love with Lake Valhalla Club the moment we walked in. The venue is spectacular in every way! We worked with Katrina and Claudio who were beyond amazing at making sure the day and night were perfect. Katrina was easy to communicate with and would respond quickly to all of my many questions throughout the planning process. We loved visiting Lake Valhalla leading up to the big day where we felt like we were family due to how friendly the staff was. The food was incredibly and our guests are raving about the cocktail hour and their dinners. Lake Valhalla is very organized and aims to make everyone at the wedding happy, and they certainly did! We are so sad that the wedding process is over, and hope that one of our family members or friends chooses LVC to get married at soon so we can go there again to enjoy their amazing wedding experience!

Our wedding was 3.18.17. Claudio and katrina could not have been more accommodating, helpful, and kind. The venue is beautiful, rustic, and perfect for couples who don't want the cookie cutter venue. Food was great at both the cocktail hour and dinner. Great selections to choose from and guests were happy. Overall, it was a beautiful and smooth day thanks to the staff and managers/maitre d!

My Husband and I are so thankful to have found Lake Valhalla club for our June 2016 wedding. We were searching for the perfect indoor/outdoor location and also wanted a venue that was more relaxed (Un-Jersey if you will). Lisa, Claudio, and Kat were extremely helpful throughout the planning process. They answered all of our questions and made planning a breeze. They met every request and then some! I'm a details person and worked very hard on getting all of our details perfect for the day of. If I had my wedding at any other venue I would have been stressed out that they wouldn't understand my vision. Well the staff at Lake Valhalla Club understood my vision and made sure every little detail was perfect. I don't think I was stressed for one second regarding anything that had to do with the venue!

It was amazing to see the younger staff work so hard. They were extremely professional and helpful! My Husband and I even got to eat dinner and enjoy our night all because the staff was so attentive. The food was and still is the most amazing food we've ever eating at a wedding (And no, I'm not saying this because we picked it as our venue I'm just stating facts here). Our guests still rave about the food, the service, and the views. OH and speaking of the views.... I never would have thought we would be able to have our dream wedding on a lake in NJ. We had the best of both worlds, an outdoor cocktail hour overlooking the beautiful lake. An indoor reception with an outdoor feel thanks to the lights strung above the dance floor. My Husband and I wish we could relive the day over and over again and wouldn't change a thing!

Could not be happier with Lake Valhalla Club. From booking to after our big day, everyone was so helpful to us. Lisa was super easy to work with and got back to us right away anytime we had a question. We were able to customize our menu so that it was unique to us and our backgrounds and OMG.. Chef did an amazing job preparing everything. I had a lot of decorations and I was so happy to see that the staff made it all look absolutely breathtaking for our big day. Claudio was a dream and on top of every little thing during the wedding. I had such a good time and our guests are still raving about how amazing the day was. Thank you for making it so special!

my husband and i got married at lvc on june 28, 2014. every single aspect of our wedding day was perfect. were there some hiccups? of course... but the way in which everything was handled, from start to finish, was wonderful.

we were concerned that the club members would be on the grounds at the start of our cocktail hour, but it was a non-issue as most left once our cocktail hour began.

once we went inside for the actual reception, my parents noticed (about two hours into the night) that the outside bar was not open (it was supposed to be, according to the contract). without missing a beat, the staff made sure to open the bar and let the guests know that they could order drinks outside, too.

i was, by no means, an overbearing bride.. but i did have a lot of extras that could have been disastrous if not executed properly. from the tiki torches to the sheer overlays... everything was perfect. all of the ideas and things we envisioned along the way came to fruition that night.

when we got back to the hotel that night, we realized our bonfire lacked the smores we had discussed, and paid for, in our contract. while it was a minor oversight and something that could have been a major letdown if we let it, it made no difference in our overall experience. i only mention it here because if i had to do it all over again, i would bring a bullet point list to the reception and appoint someone the task of ensuring each paid upgrade was accounted for.. while it didn't change how amazing our wedding was, it was a waste of money.

the food was outstanding, the dessert was delicious and the service was impeccable!

i wholeheartedly recommend lvc to any couple looking for a traditional venue with a rustic feel. we managed to make our lakeside reception a glamorous affair that our guests are still raving about!

It wouldn't have been possible to have a better reception! Lisa, Claudio and Kat were extremely responsive, always available on the day-of, and very flexible when it came to planning tables/seating, timing during the event, and everything in between. Our food was out of this world, the details like the fire places inside, the s'more station outside, longer cocktail hour, and Viennese table for dessert made everything feel cozy and still so elegant. We highly recommend! You won't be disappointed :)

It is very difficult to put into words how great Lisa and Claudio were at the Lake Valhalla Club. The cost includes a one year associate membership to the club so we went to dinner there many times before the wedding, we even brought our parents to dinner there and every time we were treated amazingly. The entire staff is there to serve you cheerfully and wonderfully. We met with Lisa so many times that on the wedding day we felt conpletely secure. She was very accommodating and helpful, gave many great suggestions, and worked with us on every detail. Claudio was the only person you want to be in charge of your wedding day! Everything went smoothly, the food is amazing, the exterior and the interior are beautiful! We did the boat and tree photo shoot... everything went so well we actually had some time to sit and actually relax in the adirondack chairs by the lake. The cocktail hour is actually 1.5 hours and it really made such a big difference. I would recommend them in a heart beat to anyone. Many people asked about joining the club, it was so nice. The Balcony made for great pictures and I absolutely love the fireplaces! The outside bar, the s'mores pit at night... everything. The taxes and fees are included in the price... I could go on and on about how amazing it was. If I could do it again, I'd still have it here.

We could not be happier that we chose LVC as our wedding venue! The outdoor area where the ceremony is is just so beautiful, cocktail hour is great because there's a lot of open space, and the dining area is also just beautiful. Lisa and the rest of the staff made everything so easy for us. Two nights before the wedding we dropped off boxes of our stuff (e.g. favors, table numbers, menu cards, mantle decorations, etc.) and the staff handled everything from there. The bartenders and servers were great and really friendly throughout the night. At the end of the night the staff was also really good at making sure we took everything back home. The second my now husband and I walked into Lake Valhalla we knew that it was the place we wanted to get married. The rustic charm and beautiful scenery were two big reasons why we fell in love with the club. Lisa Redfern work with us throughout the whole process and she was truly incredible! She went above and beyond to make us feel happy with food and decor decisions and she gave us great advise/ideas for several things including table runners, drinks, food stations, etc. The day of the wedding Lisa was simply amazing I don't even think I can put it into words! She greeted us at the door with a huge hug and helped my sisters with my crazy bustle. During cocktail hour she saw that my husband and I got cornered by guests with no food in hand, so she set up several plates just for us along the wall by where we were standing!!!! I am so thankful for Lisa and all of her help :) Also, the day of the wedding Claudio was the Maitre D. Claudio was one step ahead of us for our every need and he even made sure my parents and in laws were taken care of too! Claudio gave us this amazing pink champagne too, which was incredible! The service during dinner was so efficient and everyone was so friendly! Several guests commented on how friendly and helpful everyone was! We are so blessed that we had our wedding at Lake Valhalla and we can cherish this memory forever! Thank you so much Lisa, Claudio and the staff that worked with us that night! :)

I cannot say enough about how wonderful getting married at Lake Valhalla Club was. The scenery was beautiful; the lake is so peaceful, and the interior so warm and inviting, and it felt like we had just gathered all our friends and family in a private lakeside lodge instead of a traditional reception hall. Lisa was super-responsive through the entire process, met with us whenever we needed, and answered all our questions. Claudio and his staff were tremendously helpful through the entire reception and we just felt really taken care of. Also, people are still raving about the food! It was everything we could have asked for. I highly recommend!

What can I say about Lake Valhalla Club, but what an incredible ceremony and reception location! The staff is incredible, Lisa and Claudio were so amazingly helpful, and people are still talking about the food and venue over a month later!
You owe yourself at least a sit down with this beautiful establishment. When my florist was late with the flowers, the waitstaff actually went outside in 30 degrees and decorated the ceremony arch for us!
I had absolutely no worries the entire time, and we had the most incredible wedding I could have ever hoped for. Thank you so much to everyone at Lake Valhalla Club!

Where do I begin? When my husband and I first booked with LVC, our contact person was Perry and then he left. Of course, as a bride, I was deeply concerned and totally freaked out because we had worked with Perry for quite some time before he left. Let me tell you, once I met Lisa, all of my fears were put to rest and honestly, I wouldn't have wanted Perry after meeting her. She is a perfect person to walk a bride through all of the craziness that is planning a wedding. She was upfront, helpful and always there to answer any and all of my questions, as well as make suggestions that made my wedding go off without a hitch. I can't say enough good things about Lisa and her crew of amazing people at LVC. The day of my wedding, Lisa was there to calm my nerves and to make sure that I wasn't a nervous wreck walking down the aisle.

All of our guests raved about the food and the service. The bartenders were on point all night and the food was amazing!!! Our cocktail hour was a hit and we are still receiving compliments on the venue, amount of food and the top notch quality of food that was served.

Claudio was an awesome maitre de. He was always there to make sure that my husband and I had what we needed and he was very helpful in getting us to where we needed to be for pictures and announcements and the such. I cannot thank everyone at LVC enough for making my day special and for all of the help that we got. I couldn't have imagined my wedding anywhere else. LVC is an amazing wedding venue!

The minute I walked into Lake Valhalla I knew it was out venue. It is not your typical cookie cutter wedding hall, the space has character. The main ballroom isn't just your generic wedding factory which is what sold me. Not to mention the view on the lake is beautiful for the ceremony.

We are still getting compliments from our guest about how awesome the food was and the variety which was served. We had an hour and half cocktail hour, instead of the standard hour many other venues offer. Which turned out perfect. The day of the wedding the weather was spectacular and everyone hung outside by the lake in adirondack chairs enjoying the food, drinks and atmosphere. There is seating and tables for inside during the cocktail hour, but who would want to be stuffed inside on a beautiful day when you have the gorgeous lake and mountains as a back drop?

Once we did go inside for the reception the ballroom was more amazing actually set up for the wedding than when I went to visit, with vaulted ceilings and a rustic feeling it was everything I pictured and more. The low lighting and lit fireplaces set such a romantic atmosphere.

I could not have been happier! Claudio and Lisa (Maitre-de and manager) really went above and beyond to make sure our day was prefect and one we would never forget for all the right reasons!

I don't even know where to begin with this review, since working with everyone at this venue was such a wonderful experience! There is nothing they won't do to make you happy and make sure your wedding is beautiful and exactly how you envision it. Lisa is the sweetest woman ever, and will go above and beyond to ensure that you are 100% satisfied. Claudio did a fantastic job as our Maitre'd, and our families are still raving about how hospitable and accommodating he was throughout the night. Two incredibly lovely people to work with. Also, Claudio put together two signature drinks, a pumpkin martini and red apple sangria, and both were to die for! Our guests were especially obsessed with the pumpkin martini that literally tasted like pumpkin pie. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, the food and drinks are extraordinary, especially compared to typical "wedding food." Everything was delicious and fresh. All of the staff here was beyond friendly the night of our wedding, dancing along and smiling while working (I've been to weddings where the staff is miserable and can't wait to clean up and go home). They couldn't do enough for us, constantly asking me if I wanted anything or if there was anything we needed. They really added to the night and made it that much more special. I honestly just can't say enough good things about everything and everyone at LVC. I would have a wedding here every weekend if I could because it is perfect and they have it down to a science. The Lake Valhalla Club provided a magical atmosphere that went beyond what we ever imagined. Everything, from the day we looked at the venue through to their responsiveness after the wedding was concluded, was five star. The atmosphere, service, food and professionalism was all perfect. The prices were very reasonable and you never felt as if anyone was trying to take advantage of you. Lisa Redfern was the manager that I dealt with for the planning and then the day of, both Lisa and Claudio were in charge. Throughout the entire planning portion, Lisa was always available. She returned phone calls and e-mails immediately. She could not do enough for you. They were willing to do whatever we asked for, even up to changes the week of when I made changes to the cocktail hour. They were open to doing the rehearsal whenever we wanted and could not have been more helpful while we were taking photos before the wedding began. Lisa and Claudio were everywhere! During the cocktail hour, the food was varied and plentiful. There were many stations, an abundance of passed items and everything was delicious. The dinner choices were fantastic and people could not believe how well the food came out. The dishes were all hot and cooked perfectly, quite a feat when you're serving 200 people at one time. During the evening, they could not do enough for us. Many guests even commented on how attentive both Lisa and Claudio were. I would recommend the Lake Valhalla Club to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, romantic setting with the best service possible.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Lake Valhalla Club! Perry, the original banquet manager, left without warning and so we worked with Lisa Redfern for the two months leading up to our ceremony. It was actually quite a relief to work with Lisa; I always felt like I was interrupting Perry or asking too much, but Lisa never made me feel like that. She was so accommodating and made sure we were on the same page to prepare for every piece of the wedding day. Claudio was the maitre d' on our wedding day, and he was so attentive! He made sure we had everything we needed, and both he and Lisa helped make our wedding day perfect.

The food was also amazing! Friends and family tell us the cocktail hour food and reception entrees were fabulous! LVC really did everything they could to give us a memorable day, and it sure it work! Our wedding was amazing thanks to the wonderful staff at LVC!

What an amazing place! We first saw the Lake Valhalla Club in January, and even in the dead of winter when the club was closed it was beautiful. It was even more beautiful on our wedding day! Perry, the prior maitre d', left without much warning (we actually learned about his leaving from our DJs!), but Lisa Redfern, the business manager, was quick to step in and was exceptionally helpful. She worked closely with us to get the details just right, and was so nice to work with. The new maitre d' Claudio is fantastic, we felt so well taken care of throughout the night. And the food was incredible! People are still talking about the cocktail hour almost a month later, it was that good! The venue feels so intimate and it is situated in such a beautiful spot. It is so different from so many of the fancy wedding halls in New Jersey. We were told by several people that our wedding was one of the best they have ever been to, and it is definitely because of the Lake Valhalla Club. If you are considering having your wedding there, I would wholeheartedly recommend it, it's perfect!

Celebrated our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at the Lake Valhalla Club on Sunday. The experience exceeded all expectations. Our contact preceding the event was with Lisa Redfern. She was professional, always accessible, reflecting her years of experience in this industry. Day of the wedding Lisa was there to be sure that all was in place, set everyone up for the ceremony and the introduction at the reception. Claudio took over seamlessly, and he was perfect, as well. We could not have picked a more perfect place to get married and have our reception. LVC was decorated for Christmas, which added so much to the ambiance. The ceremony was idyllic, the food was awesome, the firepit - s'mores - and wish lantern - so much fun! The planning process was great too. Perry and the team were professional, creative, and friendly. The wait staff/service was fantastic. We're so happy with how the evening turned out. Our guests continue to rave about the night and our only regret is that we didn't get to try the mini-cheesesteaks!! Call them!

Lake Valhalla Club was even more amazing than I expected. I wanted a warm and welcoming venue for our winter wedding and this was it! The tutor facade, exposed beams on vaulted ceilings, and stone fireplaces were exactly what I wanted. Seeing the place decorated so beautifully for my reception just took my breath away! Perry, the maitre d' was very helpful, responsive and accommodating for all of my needs. And the staff paid great attention to all of my guests the night of the wedding. After the wedding everyone raved about the food! Many people will tell you a bride doesn't have time to eat at her own wedding, but I made sure I did. It was all delicious. To top it all off, the price was perfect for my budget. I highly recommend this venue to future brides and grooms.

This venue was everything I could have asked for. I was nervous about a winter wedding but the the look of this club with the wooden features and fireplaces set such a warm and intimate atmosphere for the night. Perry was so accommodating and even through in extras for us since we weren't allowed to have the tent up because of new town regulations. The food was phenomenal and the night ran so smoothly. The staff was really nice and very efficient. I 100% recommend this venue!

We had our anniversary dinner at LVC. Service was great, food was amazing and dessert was even better. We plan to have our wedding here and can't wait! The lake view is gorgeous especially at sunset. It is 'members only' but it's absolutely worth it. I'd recommend to any and all.

The Lake Valhalla Club was an amazing venue and our wedding was absolutely magical. The venue can stand on its own with hardly any other decorative additions. It is situated by a lake with amazing views in any season. There is outdoor space for your ceremony and/or reception. We were hoping to have warm enough weather to have our ceremony outside but having the main room for the ceremony was equally beautiful especially with the fireplace burning in the background and candles lit on the mantle. Turnover time from ceremony setup to reception setup was about 10 minutes while all the guests enjoyed a delicious and plentiful cocktail hour. Perry, the venue manager, was amazing and extremely flexible. Final head counts can come as late as the weekday before the wedding. We were even allowed to wait until the last minute to decide on an outdoor ceremony or not. He is very easy going and he really does remove all the stress of planning. The menu they provide is amazing and everyone comments on how good the food was. The wedding cake was included in the overall price and delivered from Palermo's. They even handled the Kosher meals we ordered from Noah's Ark Cafe flawlessly. My wife and I keep playing the whole day over and over again in our heads. Everything was flawless and it was everything we imagined. I highly recommend working with Perry as he is the best at what he does.

Lake Valhalla was perfect for our wedding reception. Our guests were amazed by the awesome venue, and view, particularly of the fall foliage. Cocktail hour was a great hit. A large portion of our guests were vegetarian and every single person was impressed with the menu. I can't thank Perry, Michelle and the entire staff over at Lake Valhalla for making the day perfect. They're incredibly calm and poised, and capable to fielding anything you throw at them with a smile. Completely worth every little penny that we put in!

Our wedding was held in October of 2013. LVC is a fantastic venue. But what puts LVC above and beyond is Perry. From the moment we met him he made sure our event went just the way we wanted it to. Our guests had an AMAZING time and we have heard nothing by great things regarding the venue and especially the food (which is pretty much the most important part when your a guest). Perry and his team made sure that everything and everyone was taken care of. LVC has tons of charm, if you are looking for a venue, I highely suggested putting LVC in the running. If I could rate it higher than a 5 I would.

I looked at nearly 15 wedding venues in NJ before coming to LVC. Even though some were nice and I could have settled on, I was still feeling that none of them were quite what my fiance and I were looking for. My mom suggested I look at Lake Valhalla because she heard a few people mention that it was a nice place. I was concerned when looking at the pictures online that it may not be big enough, but decided to go check it out anyway. I'm so glad I did! I knew it would be a great place the moment I visited and I can't think of a single complaint to make of our wedding day. Perry was very responsive through e-mails, as well as flexible with our menu choices. He was very personable on the night of our wedding and some of our guests said they enjoyed talking with him. We even heard a lot of compliments about the wait staff, many of which were on the dance floor dancing with our guests by the end of the night! With all of the excitement of the day, my fiance and I did not engorge in the food like we normally do, but many of our guests raved about it, especially the entrees. I just loved everything about the decor. The rustic/lodge feel was exactly what I imagined...something different than a typical New Jersey banquet hall. The cocktail hour (and a half) space (inside and outside) was so abundant, which was nice because there was plenty of room to move around. We were even able to set up corn hole for our guests outside to enjoy. And not to mention the beautiful views of the lake!! The staff did a great job of transforming the reception room from the earlier wedding that day to our evening wedding. Lake Valhalla was actually a little cheaper per plate than many of the other venues I visited, which I think is remarkable for what you get. Our guests still to this day tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to and I have thank Lake Valhalla for making it such a fantastic event!

Everyone says that there will always be little problems and glitches throughout the day, but there were NONE and we know that wasnt just a coincidence. Lake Valhalla exceeded any and all expectations we couldve had. We are still receiving compliments from our friends and families about the food, the service and the venue. It really was unlike any other wedding we've been to, and we were so happy to have such a unique experience as our own wedding day. We're trying to convince someone we know to get married there so we get to experience a Lake Valhalla wedding like all of our guests did.Our ceremony was onsite and outdoors, it couldnt have been a more beautiful setting and great for photos! The room looked rustic, yet elegant. Perry was so easy to work with through every stage of planning. We were originally supposed to get married in April 2012 but due to unforseen circumstances we had to postpone the wedding to this year. I figured it was going to be a total headache to cancel and replan everything and understandably so. Totally not the case, Perry was so understanding and made everthing as easy and seemless to replan as possible. He truly is a master of his craft and will always be remembered with fondness when we look back on our wedding day.

I had my December wedding at Lake Valhalla Club and it was FANTASTIC! Guests were coming up to me the night of our wedding and asking me where I found this hidden gem?! It was beautiful and the Christmas decorations were classy and gorgeous. It was the perfect size and style - upscale-rustic- for what we were looking for. The food was out of this world and Perry and his staff were attentive and amazing. Highly, highly recommend this place!!!

The Lake Valhalla club is the hidden gem of wedding venues in NJ. They do not even have bridal shows which made it all the more appealing to us. My fiance and I did not want a typical banquet hall. We wanted something warm, rustic,romantic and food was very important to us. I came home from Lake Valhalla and immediately after meeting with Perry, knew this is where we needed to have our wedding. Every step of the process was easy, well planned and the evening went off perfectly. We had a wedding before ours so I was a bit nervous about setup and times,etc. When we arrived to take pictures it looked better than I could have imagined. We were even able to take the boat out for some great pictures. The staff was friendly, smiling and looked as though they wanted to be there, unlike some other venues we had seen. The drinks were great and we had a signature drink. The food was AMAZING. It's not "wedding" food it's seriously the best Filet I have ever had. And cocktail hour was the biggest surprise. It looks like a lot in writing on the brochure but to see and taste it all in person was incredible. The Lake Valhalla Club helped to make my wedding day the best day of my life and I will never forget how happy I was to have chosen this venue. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!

Thank you thank you thank you! The moment we saw lake Valhalla we knew this was the perfect spot for our wedding reception... With about 100 guests the space couldn't be more perfect! Perry was the best. He was helpful with anything we needed from the beginning to the day of our wedding. Every piece of food served was incredible and the drinks kept flowing!! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. We've gotten consistent rave reviews on the food and the LVC. Everything went by flawlessly and we were thrilled!!

The only thing that I will say is that during our ceremony, there were kids playing on the playground and one child ran across during the ceremony.

Aside from that, we had the best time. The value is incredible and I've definitely never had better food at a wedding and you can't beat the decor and view. Perry is a joy to work with. He is responsive and attentive. His wife was lovely too and helped out the day of. I would highly recommend getting married here!!

I cannot say enough great things about Lake Valhalla Club! There's not a single thing we would change about our wedding experience there and our guests felt the same way. So many people have made a point to tell us that ours was one of the best weddings they have ever been to and to specifically comment on what a fantastic job our venue did. The outdoor setting is beautiful and the interior is lovely, with none of that wedding factory feel. As for food, we had just about every request you can think of; nut-free, gluten-free, vegan, meat lovers. Every request we made was no problem and all of our guests (from vegans to steak-only eaters) raved about the food! When we chose Lake Valhalla Club we knew we were getting a lovely setting and a fantastic rate. When the day came what we got was the wedding of our dreams, truly beyond our every expectation! From the moment we walked into the ballroom, I knew that I had to get married at Lake Valhalla. After speaking with Perry, the maitre d', my feelings were confirmed. For the entire year and a half of my engagement, Perry and his staff were so helpful and accommodating (even when I asked them to measure the heights of the cups and glasses for me!). Whenever I had a question, I would just shoot them an email and would have a response within 24 hours (usually sooner!)

I created a TON of DIY projects for the wedding and was definitely anxious that it wouldn't turn out right because I had a certain idea in my mind that they couldn't see. When I walked into the venue before everything began, I was shocked. Everything was exactly as I had dreamed it would be, and even better. They took such special care of every detail to make it standout and become something special.

On top of my amazing experience, people could not stop raving about the amazing views, the intimate feel of the location, and the outstanding food and service!

I know people have also made comments about the fact that the club stays open during weddings, but that wasn't an issue at all. About half an hour before the ceremony began, the club was empty and stayed that way all night.

Overall, our experience with Lake Valhalla Club was beyond amazing. They made our day so special and so wonderful! It was absolutely perfect, and they were a huge part of that perfection.

AMAZING! Our wedding was beautiful and everything we could have ever hoped for! Perry is the absolute best and it was such a pleasure to work with him. He was BEYOND accommodating. The one thing my new husband and I regret about our wedding day is that we were too busy taking a million gorgeous pictures on the grounds to stop and eat anything at our cocktail hour! The more people tell us how great the food at the cocktail hour was, the more we regret taking so many pictures outside against that beautiful backdrop which caused us to miss the food! It was hard to give up those great picture opportunities as the sun was setting though. Only 3 people out of our 170 guests had ever been there before and everyone still keeps calling and complimenting on how beautiful the ceremony in front of the lake was and great the wedding itself was. Everyone also keeps commenting on how "different" and "unique" the venue was because it truly stands apart from other venues in NJ. Everyone loved it and had a great time. You will NOT be disappointed. My husband and I are praying for someone we know to get married there so we can go and actually really enjoy everything LVC has to offer its guests. AWESOME venue! If I could give it 10 stars I would! So happy we found LVC. It's a hidden gem!

We held our daughter's wedding at the Lake Valhalla Club on March 31, 2012. What an amazing Venue this is. The food was delicious, the drinks were flowing and the staff was attentive. At the last minute we had to change the ceremony from outside by the lake to inside by the fireplace. It went on without a hitch. I would recommend Perry and his staff to all my friends and family. What a fabulous night we had.

Lake Valhalla is an AMAZING location for a wedding. Not only is it gorgeous both indoors and outdoors, which provides for some beautiful photographs of your special day, but the service is beyond fantastic!! The food was amazing, and everyone had a great time. Our guests are STILL talking about what a great time they had and how great the food was. People went out of their way to call us and our parents to tell us all what a great time they had. Many said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Perry was great! He was consistently available to meet with us or answer any of our questions, and he was there all night at our wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly. Michelle was also there to help with the ceremony. It was such a perfect night, and one that my husband and I will remember forever. We have absolutely no complaints and I would without a doubt recommend Lake Valhalla to anyone considering it as a venue.

My husband and I got married October 1, 2011. We chose Lake Valhalla Club because of the unique quality it possesses of being elegant and beautiful, but not over the top. The venue is graced with floor to ceiling fireplaces and windows. Wooden beams in the cathedral ceiling, and lovely hardwood floors. On our day it threatened to rain during the ceremony and I was completely comfortable with the idea that the staff might have to move everything in 10 minutes before the ceremony. The staff is efficient and professional. Perry and his wife Michelle have everything down to a science and do their job well. The venue worked very well with our other vendors also. I had the pickiest of eaters (the eeyore of eating out) say that the food was amazing, and it was. If you're wedding is here please make sure you take advantage of the cocktail hour as it was delicious! People are still talking about the dessert table and its 3-4 months later. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend lake valhalla club.

I had my wedding at Lake Valhalla Club on November 19th, 2011. I have NOTHING but AMAZING things to say about the venue and the staff. We were looking for a different place - not a wedding factory. Wanted something small and intimate but big enough to get a good dance party going! And also food was important. We found everything we were looking for at Lake Valhalla! It was a place no one knew of so it was like a secret gem! I heard nothing but great things from my guests about the place, the view, and the food. Food was outstanding! We even got to have the ceremony outside (and although it was a little cold), it was perfect. The lake made everything so beautiful, including all of the photos. Candles burning on the fireplace mantles made it romantic, and the DJ on the balcony made the music not so overwhelming. People have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Last but not least was Perry (the maitre'd) and the rest of the staff. Perry was unbelievable - worked with us up to the day of the wedding, and then was the on-site coordinator the entire night (along with his wife). And the staff made sure all our guests were well fed and taken care of, and made sure me and my husband had plenty of food and tasted all the options. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Everything was beautiful and elegant. I got so many compliments that this was the best wedding they've ever been too! It was a beautiful day and night and guests enjoyed that they spent the cocktail hour outside overlooking the gorgeous lake. The food was also great. Overall would definitely recommend to anyone!

Words cannot express how utterly beautiful the setting of LVC is, nor the attentiveness and professionalism of the entire staff! Perry & staff decorated on our behalf and everything was picture perfect!! I had the most fun at my wedding! Perry's wife was on board with the rest of the staff to provide direction when needed most for the ceremony. The fireplaces were lit & the scene was so romantic. The guests raved, I mean raved, about the food~and there was soo much of it! Everything about this venue is everything and more a bride/groom could want! We're giving LVC a "10" star rating...it was that great! Thank you Perry, Michelle & all the staff @ LVC!!!

I cannot say enough about Lake Valhalla Club. They were so nice and so professional and they made our wedding day spectacular!! Perry was there every step of the way, making sure we ate and taking care of every little detail. He was very understanding too when we had someone cancel on us a day before the wedding for emergency medical reasons and told us he would refund the money.

The renovations they did are also amazing! They didn't take away from the beautiful rustic feel to the place, in fact, they added to its glow because the lake shines in through the windows now. Our guests raved about Lake Valhalla Club! They all said how different the place was and how perfect everything was! Thank you so much!!! It was really a perfect day!

The Lake Valhalla Club is absolutely incredibly. My husband and I didn't want a "banquet hall" or a wedding factory, and LVC delivered exactly what we wanted. They only do one wedding a weekend, and that day is yours alone.

LVC has beautiful rustic styling, exposed wooden beams, and huge stone fireplaces. We were married outside in front of their private 90 acre lake right before sunset.

Their food is absolutely incredible. We were sold as soon as we had a tasting. They provided our guests with FOUR dinner options, not to mention the most splendid cocktail hour that could have been a meal in itself! Open bar, a venetian table, and the wedding cake (provided by Baker's Perfection in Rockaway) was all included.

The manager, Perry Bonadies, was extremely accommodating and was a huge help during the entire process. The great thing about LVC was that the pricing per person was inclusive of tax, service charge, and staff gratuity. The only "extra" was the maitre d' tip. We did pay extra to have the ceremony on site, but that included the extra time, set up of all the chairs, drinks provided outdoors for your guests as they arrive, and a ceremony coordinator who helped the guys with their boutineers as well as organized the processional and the receiving line.

Our guests haven't stopped talking about how pleasantly different out wedding was, or about how great the food was! Perry & the Lake Valhalla Club truly let us have a wedding that was "us," and we wouldn't have been able to make it so personal anywhere else.

My husband and I knew that Lake Valhalla Club was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception almost immediately. It was unlike any other place we'd visited. Perry is just incredible and so easy to work with. Unfortunately, we were unable to have the wedding outside on the lake as planned because of the weather. However, they have a tent up year-round, so we were able to transfer everything there as soon as we realized the weather wasn't cooperating and it looked wonderful. The tent has a stone bar, candles, and greenery so it looks nice inside. The food was AMAZING. Guests still comment on the food and the spread at the cocktail hour. I know there's no such thing as a perfect wedding day, but Perry and everyone else at Lake Valhalla helped make it as close to perfect as possible. Now I just hope someone I know gets married there, so I can enjoy it as a guest!

Perry and the staff at Lake Valhalla Club really took care of us!!! The food was delicious and there was a ton of it!! From the dinner to the dessert hour, our guests are still talking about the food months later! The venue completely speaks for itself in terms of ambiance and environment and was decorated absolutely beautifully on our wedding day. Even though the weather outside was raining cats and dogs, Perry made sure all of our needs for pre-pictures to guest arrival was seemless. The wedding and reception both went off without a hitch and everyone had an amazing time....we can't thank Perry and his staff enough and highly recommend Lake Valhalla Club for any event! It was the perfect decision for us and we couldn't have been happier!

My wedding was everything I ever hoped for at Lake Valhalla. The entire day went smoother then I could have imagined. Perry and his wife are fabulous and helped make our wedding day flawless. Perry even surprised us and included sushi at our cocktail hour for no charge! This venue is worth every penny and believe me, you get alot of delicious food for that penny!! Guest couldnt believe that dinner was actually being served after the extensive cocktail hour we had. People have not stopped talking about our wedding, many saying its the best wedding they have ever been to!! I have already recommended this venue to many other new brides and will continue to do so.

I could not be more pleased with Lake Valhalla! Where wedding food is usually bland, and conventional wedding halls often tacky, Lake Valhalla served delicious food the entire night in a venue that was intimate, charming, classy, unique and fun for everyone. The hall looked beautiful and worked well with our florist's designs. Particularly the cocktail hour was memorable as we have heard from friends & family. The event manager was frequently in contact with us, on top of everything and generally responsive. The maitre'd and his staff were wonderfully attentive and very gracious. Also, the kids had a ton of fun on the beach outside! (It was a late September evening). We took photos at sunset on the dock and at night with the bonfire going- they turned out so well. It was a very professional and beautiful evening and we received many compliments on the event. My only small complaints were that one of the tip items wasn't directly stated on the contract and was brought up very last minute, and the venue is not very large. Our party was 150+ and it was a bit tight. But I don't think our guests noticed or minded very much, and LV has done even larger parties of 200+ when the room is expanded.

The Lake Valhalla Club was perfect for my husband and I. We lucked out with the weather and had a beautiful outdoor ceremony right there on the lake. One complaint was that they have a playground off to the right of the ceremony site along with volleyball courts. When I arrived to take pictures before the ceremony there were two volleyball games going on and kids yelling and playing on the playground. I was a little nervous they would interrrupt the ceremony, but when the ceremony time came I didn't hear a thing from the kids or volleyball players. Everything ran smoothly and on time. I can't say enough about the staff. They were so attentive to us. There were times I had two drinks in my hands because they kept bringing stuff. There was one lady in particular and I feel so bad I can't remember her name (Maybe Debbie?), but she had bridal dress experience and helped with my bustle and continued to bring me food and drinks throughout the night. Also both of our parents said they were waited on hand and foot throughout the night. There was an abundance of food and drinks and it was a beautiful night. Perry is a nice guy and he definitely did extra for us without even blinking. My family liked a certain kind of beer and Perry just asked if we wanted bottles or keg and didn't charge us. My husband and I booked the venue way in advance and came in a few times to talk to Perry, sometimes I didn't feel he cared too much about our wedding, but that all changed when we came in the week before our wedding to do final details and he was on top of every single detail. A side note they do allow their members to use the main bar during your event. I really didn't care, but a word of advice only do a bathroom basket for the restroom in the reception area. My mom had that basket filled with good stuff and the members seemed to help themselves and the basket was empty before the end of the night. I would definitely recommend LVC because their staff is incredible and they make sure you have a fantastic night.

Lake Valhalla is an awesome place to have your wedding. Everything went extremely smoothly with the exception of club members allowed on the beach while my ceremony was going on. I had a kid run up screaming during it :(

Other than that, the food was awesome, the staff was great, and Perry was very accomodating.

My husband and I knew we would get married at Lake Valhalla Club as soon as we saw it. The grounds are beautiful and the reception area is such a warm and inviting space. Our guests had an amazing time and really enjoyed themselves, as did I. I really couldn't have asked for a better wedding. My only complaint is that Perry the maitre d' was not the easiest person to work with. It was hard to get in touch with him most of the time, among other things. All in all though, fantastic wedding venue.

Overall, we had a good experience with Lake Valhalla. We had a few discrepancies along the way but they were resolved in time for the wedding.

The major discrepancy was over the craft beer. When we originally signed our contract we discussed offer different craft beer for the event and we were told that it would absolutely not be a problem. At that time they didn't offer a package for this but we were told it would be included at no additional charge. Then, 3 weeks before the wedding they tried to charge us about $250 (I believe, I can't recall the exact number). This obviously didn't fly and after a discussion with them they didn't end up charging us.

I did have a concern about the members being able to access the space while we were using it. I understand that they pay for a membership but for what we paid for the space I still felt it was unreasonable to allow them to use it (the space being the bar). I don't think that was an issue though because I don't remember seeing any members there.

My biggest issue was actually due to the wedding prior to ours. The early wedding was supposed to end at 4pm. My event wasn't beginning until 6pm. When my guests were arriving there were STILL guests from the first wedding hanging around. This, of course, delayed the turnover of the ballroom. Also, the outside cocktail hour space had these pink paper lanterns hanging...obviously from another event (at least a week or two prior to ours as I remember seeing them when we dropped off our centerpieces etc). They were still there for my wedding. Not a big deal in hindsight but a little sloppy in my opinion.

Overall, the guests enjoyed the space and the food. The issues I had were issues that only my husband and I knew about. Everything else was seamless for our guests. I'm just not fond of being told one thing and a completely different thing happens. I think there is a lot of disconnect with the staff here...or maybe they overbook themselves.
