When we kicked off the wedding planning process, we were initially very nervous about the catering aspect because 1) it's one of the most expensive parts of any wedding, 2) it requires a lot of coordination and decision making (especially for our wedding, which was 3 days long), and 3) it's something the guests care a lot about.

When we first met with Tami at La Creme catering, we knew right away that we would be taken care of. First of all, Tami really knows her stuff. She's an absolute pro on all things food, drink, and party planning in general. From organizing a perfect menu with complimentary items to recommending fun specialty cocktails that you won't find at other weddings, Tami is extremely knowledgeable in the food services space and she was super helpful in crafting the perfect weekend menu and drink program for us.

Obviously the food/drink planning is important, but just as important (more?) is the quality of the food. We were very impressed with everything we tried at the tasting and in fact we had a difficult time narrowing down what we wanted on the final menu since everything was so damn tasty! Honestly it was some of the best food I've had at a wedding that I can remember. You can tell they are using locally sourced high-quality ingredients. The seafood and pasta items were among my favorites.

With such expertise and quality you would expect to pay an arm and a leg, and yes, while catering for a big wedding is without a doubt expensive, I will say I feel like the pricing was fair for what they were delivering. I never got the impression La Creme was overcharging us. Additionally, in the final weeks before the wedding, we were quite distraught since we were going well over our initial budget, and after talking with Tami she was able to work with us on cutting down on some menu items or otherwise finding ways where we can cut here and there. We went from being really stressed to relieved after our chats with her, and we are so thankful for how flexible she was.

Ultimately the final result was an absolutely perfect wedding in which Tami and the La Creme team were a core part. The staff was very experienced and super friendly as well. You can tell everyone knew what they were doing because the entire weekend was about as seamless as you could possibly imagine. That was really the cherry on top.

Experienced team, excellent food, expert coordination—what else could you ask for in a catering company? If you have the chance to work with Tami and the La Creme team—do it. You won't be disappointed!

We hosted 28 people at Crema for our wedding rehearsal dinner at the end of August 2019. Crema did such a wonderful job, people asked me over and over again how I found it, how expensive it was, etc. The food was so excellent many returned for breakfast before the wedding the next day!

In particular, we really enjoyed the crispy polenta with chicken marsala, the delicious vegetarian bucatini, and the strawberry shortcakes. We also had a few allergies and vegans in our wedding party, and Crema accommodated them with love and care.

While they included linens and table runners, I worked with Karren to rent a few pieces from Chic Event Rentals and it went seamlessly through their coordination. It elevated the space a bit to be even more perfect.

I really can't express how much Crema was a slam-dunk incredible success for us. I would recommend it to literally any and every couple planning an event dinner in the Monterey area -- my parents keep telling me how glad they are that we chose Crema for such wonderful food and ambience at a reasonable price with very thorough and thoughtful coordination through Karren. The only thing that perhaps we could have better thought out would have been how to pause or lower the music a bit better for toasts, but honestly, it was totally fine.

Tamie and La Creme catered my wedding weekend at The Holly Farm and EVERYTHING was on point. Tamie was not only fun and easy to work with, she was creative and caring and what's all the more, the FOOD, each of our three events, utterly fabulous.

I am a discriminating client when it comes to food as I work in the catering industry myself. If I can impart anything on anyone considering La Creme, it is this: count yourselves among the very fortunate to be working with La Creme at The Holly Farm. Our experience was insanely dreamy.

I will remember our dinner under the lights and the stars out in the farm gardens as one of the most cherished of my life. It's all rather difficult to explain, magical.

La Creme is the BEST!!!! Tamie, Jon, the whole team are just outstanding. They were incredibly responsive, helpful, and enthusiastic through the whole process. The food was SO amazing for both the rehearsal and the reception. Just out of the park awesome all around!

Tamie and La Creme were such a crucial part of the positive experience we had with the Holly Farm. Yes, it is very expensive...but you get what you pay for, the food and service were so wonderful! Our guests still rave about it!
Yes, Tamie can be somewhat slow to respond at times, but I think this is because she is stretched so incredibly thin. The Holly Farm relies on her to do much of the wedding planning in many ways--in addition to creating the menu, she actually does most of the decor planning with you, and all of the "little things" that we had expected to be handled by the Holly Farm, actually end up being done by Tamie. She's ALWAYS pleasant, she listens, and she works her little tail off! I think Tamie absolutely deserves more credit for Holly Farm's success than she seems to get, she really became our point person for the wedding planning.
One of our biggest frustrations with La Creme and the Holly Farm was how long it took to get an accurate cost estimate. We really didn't have a sense of the per-person cost until maybe 1-2 months before the wedding. Counting food, glassware, linens, and service for just the wedding day itself, It ended up costing a whopping $170pp (that does NOT include alcohol, which was through a different vendor). Again, they food was outstanding, but just be mentally (and monetarily) prepared to shell out big bucks for it.

Tamie met with us initially and was very helpful creating the feeling and menu we wanted for two dinners (Friday Ceremony and Saturday Reception). A few weeks later we had a tasting which was amazing. We got to try all the dishes from our menu and were so happy with the flavors, presentation and service. The party dinner for 85 was over the top with the food presentation, service provided and flavors matching the menu we had tasted at the tasting. There was no decline in quality. Delicious! The food stations for appetizers were super and beautiful. The pie bar later in the night was awesome.
Friday night's table decorations and bar were provided by Tamie and La Creme as well and she did a fabulous job making it look so special. Tamie has a flare for decorating and set up and has top notch people working for her.
Over all I would highly recommend her services.

La Créme really felt like a partner when working with them on our wedding. They were great with suggestions, even when we needed to cut costs. Our menu was simple, but everyone adored the food. The best part? Probably either the minted white sangria or the late night mac-n-cheese buffet. People still tell us how awesome it was.
I also highly recommend the mushroom strudel. It was heaven.

Our wedding venue works exclusively with La Creme Monterey and it's not hard to see why. Their food and staff set the bar in each of their respective categories.

La Creme catered, staffed and handled the rentals for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. After an initial meeting with Tamie, Kristen assisted us with the remainder of the planning. Pro Tip: do not be afraid to give them a ring for specific questions. Both Tamie and Kristen are always kind and accommodating. We were so grateful that part of La Creme's services included handling the rentals for both events as it lifted a major element of the day off of our shoulders.

I was very impressed with how La Creme and their staff were able to make our rehearsal dinner and wedding two individually spectacular events. For the rehearsal dinner we left the tablescape decor in their capable hands and we were so glad we did. Our wedding day dinner setting had many preplanned elements from the floral artistry to my last minute crafts, but La Creme still brought their special touches and took it to the next level.

La Creme's menu options are vast and each description is more mouthwatering than the next. Their menu absolutely translates to real life. Something we keep hearing from our guests is how amazing the food at our wedding was. Anyone who's been to a wedding knows that this is a huge compliment and relief. An added bonus, La Creme makes conscious ingredient choices. Every menu option is created from organic, non-GMO and locally sourced ingredients. Even so, their pricing is incredibly competitive which is pretty amazing for that level of quality.

La Creme's staff sets the bar for service. Their staff members make a point to care about your guests and your day. It's obvious that they are there to do a great job and leave a lasting positive impression.

Extremely rigid and non-responsive. They make relatively good wedding food with local and fresh ingredients, and Chef Jon is a great chef - very open and helpful. Unfortunately, you don't get to deal with Chef Jon, you deal with Tamie, who doesn't respond quickly to emails and gets extremely defensive if you need to talk budget. If you have a million dollars to spend on catering and ask no questions, you will probably have a great experience with them and like your food. Will the food and service be worth what you spent? Not if you value your dollar.
