Krista deserves more than a 5 star review if that was possible! I found her page on Instagram, and from the beginning she was so kind, personable, and incredibly helpful with the wedding process. Her photos are so bright and full of joy, which really embodied her and us. When we met her for the first time, we knew immediately that we wanted to book her as our photographer. She made us feel so special, and she has such a calm energy that makes you feel like you've been friends for years. My fiance was camera shy, but we had so much fun at our engagement shoot, and it really settled our nerves for our wedding day with being in front of the camera! She really helped me plan out our day, and knew everything that I didn't even know I needed. I knew I was in good hands going into our big day. On the day of our wedding, she was so fun, and able to really take the lead on making sure we were where we needed to be, and she was down to do all the fun requests we had, like a little joy ride on a boat! She executed all of our "must-have" photos without question, and it made me sad when she finally had to leave for the evening, after being there for EVERY big moment of the whole day. I cried when I got our sneak peeks, and even more when we got our photos-ahead of schedule! She really snuck every photo possible- for example, when I was walking down the aisle, she got every reaction on my and my husbands faces, along with my mom, our wedding party, guests, officiant, and it was all in perfect quality. It's a good problem to have when you can't pick out your favorite pictures because they are all so stunning. Krista is so thoughtful, intentional, and kind. I am so grateful for all of our vendors, and Krista really was the perfect person we could have had for our day. 100% will recommend her, always!!! We love you!

Where to even start with this amazing individual.. We had a wedding in May 2023, we haven't even gotten our final wedding photos yet, just some previews, and I cannot put into words how amazing of an experience it was working with Krista. From day 1, she has always listened to our vision for our photos for the wedding, she is incredibly professional but also so incredibly approachable. She is very flexible, working with us the night before to find a new place for our engagement session given rain was anticipated the next day, but also advocates for herself in terms of what she does and does not do as part of her packages, for which we greatly appreciated the transparency. For those who have never done any professional photos, she gave us plenty of ques on how to pose, mixing in staged photos and spontaneous ones. On Wedding Day, my family was, for the most part, non-English speaking, and she, in the kindest way possible, took command and helped my family get organized and get the photos they wanted despite the language barrier. Her communication is incredible - despite her very busy schedule she ALWAYS responded so quickly to all our questions and emails (heck, we were the ones that took days to reply at times, not her), something that was greatly appreciated especially as the big day got closer and closer. She books the entire day and weekend for you, and we never felt rushed during our engagement session, in-person meetings with her (even though we ran well past dinner time she never complained haha), and especially during our Wedding day. Krista photographed our wedding this past June. We had a two year engagement and Krista was incredible since our very first meeting with her. She genuinely wants to get to know you as people and as a couple. She lives for your story and documenting that story through beautiful photos. We got engaged at the MN State Fair and she had the amazing idea of taking engagement photos there, she is so adventurous and we seriously had so much fun together. Throughout the wedding planning process I would come across questions I would have about things not even related to photography and I knew she would be the right person to ask, not only was she our photographer but she was a HUGE support for us and always responded so quickly. She made our wedding day run so smoothly and thought of little details we would have never thought about. We felt like she became a good friend of ours because we had so much fun together! Lets be honest... after choosing to marry each other, hiring Krista Esterling to be our photographer was the next best decision we made regarding our special day! Krista was more than "just another photographer" she was someone we wanted to be friends with nearing the end of our day! Some photographers do it for the money, but Krista on the other hand genuinely LOVES capturing those special moments shared between the bride and groom. It was hard to tell who was more excited for the day, us or her. She kept everyone calm, but excited throughout the day. Krista was the first vendor I decided on post-engagement. I have been following her work for a long time and knew I wanted her to shoot our wedding. She helped us with several steps along the way and even recommended the venue we ended up selecting. She is so great at directing people and helping with the flow of the day. Not to mention her photographs are to die for. I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. She captured the day perfectly! She's a professional through and through.
