The Kern County Museum is a 16-acre shaded facility. We have sites that accommodate 60-2000 guests in a variety of configurations. Majority of the facility is outdoor, however, we do offer indoor space. We have a very charming Chapel, built in 1892, 1911 Fellows Hotel, Standard School Hall with a fully equipped kitchen and dressing room for the bride and a very unique 1928 spanish style mission that can accommodate upto 300. Everything from traditional to not so traditional weddings, sweet and simple to magical and magnificent can be created on the grounds of the Kern County Museum. There is no other venue in Kern County that can offer mulitple options for your special day and a one of kind location to capture some unbelievable photos.

I had my wedding at the Kern County Museum, and everyone was so wonderful and helpful. The staff really went above and beyond to work with me to make everything happen just how I wanted it, and the setting could not have been more perfect for a spring garden wedding.Sent on 03/02/2009
This idyllic venue is one of my favorites, it has a lot of versatility and the staff is really kind and helpful. One of Bakersfield's largest public venues, I appreciate the time they take to make sure that the grounds are well taken care of. I will continue to send my clients to Kern County Museum!!
