The Kenwood Depot is a charming wedding venue located in beautiful Kenwood, California. It is an old train depot that has been converted into a venue just perfect for a wedding/reception. We had a little over 70 people at our wedding at the Kenwood Depot and held both the ceremony and the reception there. As we got married in March during a rainy weekend, our wedding was held indoors, but we did order a tent to be erected outside so our guests could mingle outside after the ceremony and have drinks and appetizers while we set up the tables for the reception. Debbie, the Depot Manager, was awesome to work with. With venue prices outrageous in Wine Country, it was a blessing to find the Kenwood Depot, which not only was more affordable to rent, but also provided tables and chairs as part of the package. I would recommend the Kenwood Depot to anyone looking for a venue which will hold around 70-73 people, seated at tables, inside.

The Kenwood Depot was such an amazing venue. All my requests were answered with ease and always a YES! I really enjoyed working with Debbie and she was so helpful. It was a beautiful night, the venue looked stunning and it made my night magical!

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kenwood Depot. As soon as we saw the depot we knew it was perfect for our intimate wine country wedding. Debbie the manager replied to my emails quickly and was very easy to work with. We held our ceremony in front of the working fireplace and held our dinner reception in the back under a tent (because of the rain). We had desert and dancing back inside the depot. The depot was affordable for wine country. Saturday and Sunday are a flat rate for the whole day and Monday thru Friday rates are based on the hours used. We rented the depot on Friday night for a couple of hours for our rehearsal dinner. I believe there are discounted rates for off-season events. I would recommend this for any bride planning a vintage or wine-country wedding.

Kenwood Depot was fantastic - an old train station converted into a community center. Great vendor, beautiful historic facility, completely open to DIYers like myself. Allowed me to bring in my own caterer (or even make my own food in their kitchen if I had wanted). Had area for bar, DJ, came with white wooden chairs and rectangular tables. Was completely quiet and private. Did not use it, but has a BBQ outside. Used for our reception only. Had ceremony at Kenwood Community Church.

Working with the owner was very difficult. Especially since I was located four hours away. There were very serious miscommunications that almost ruined the entire wedding (i.e what land they owned, how many people they could fit, etc.) But after putting in sod and praying no one would come to the wedding, everything worked out. Debbie was nice when I finally met her in person. It was just a very terrible start.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
