My wedding was chaos. I chose poorly with my wedding planner. But I chose THE BEST photographer. I could not have been more distracted or upset by all the things going wrong the morning of our wedding. And then Kelly showed up. And not only is she perfectly cheerful, and easy going: she had a plan to get me to relax. And in the photos it was like a switch went off and suddenly I was at ease.
I had SO MANY amazing photos to choose from. Including some beautiful candid images of my guests, which I printed and gave as Christmas presents.
Important to note: Kelly was very quick to respond to calls or emails. She is also an amazing photo editor. I don't want to be photoshopped beyond recognition, but she did edit things such as unsightly landscaping, and her light touch with vingetting and color correction took pictured from great to amazing. I subsequently hired her to take our Holiday photos.

The beginning of 2014 I entered my now husband and I into a contest to win a free engagement session through Facebook. I had never her of Kelly but a lady from my church said she was amazing and I should enter so I did. To my surprise we WON!!! I was very excited that I won and contacted her immediately. I was a bit skeptical seeing as how I had never met her nor even heard of her photography business before. After several conversations via phone and email we set a date for our session. Upon arriving at our location she greeted us both with hugs like she'd know us forever, she made my husband and I both feel very comfortable and relaxed from the beginning. Once the session began I realized that Kelly had put a good bit of research into us before she even showed up. She had checked out my facebook and even my pinterest boards just to get to know us a little before we met and gain some ideas on what type of photos I liked. Loved that by the way! She was an absolute joy to work with through out the entire session. We met a few days later to review the pictures and I was completely shocked, they were absolutely stunning. She came with samples of her photos printed and showed me the difference between the place she prints them and walmart/Walgreen's printing centers. I was blown away at the quality of her prints and the knowledge of each technique. After placing my order she informed me it would take so many weeks to get me photos back from printing. The prints had actually been delayed and I was panicking seeing as how my wedding was quickly approaching. Kelly volunteered to hand deliver the photos to our wedding venue on the night of our rehearsal just so I could have my prints to display at our wedding.
Kelly was a delight to work with and is super talented at what she does. I would refer her to anyone for any type of occasion. Thank you so very much for my amazing photos!!! So much more out of a free session that we could ever had imagined.

Kelly is an excellent photographer, and friend. I have followed her work for years, and have seen her grow as a photographer, so when it came time for my wedding I wasn't going to use anyone else. She has a great eye for lighting, and setting up shots. She was willing to work with me on a budget, and even travel 500 miles to do the wedding in 30 degree weather. I would recommend anyone looking for wedding photographer with lots of talent and experience to use Kelly. She is worth every penny!

I am so impressed with Kelly's quality of work and ability to capture every important moment, even in the chaos of our mostly DIY wedding! She was always available to answer questions I had before the wedding and even gave me good ideas for how to ensure aspects of our wedding could be photographed the best given things like sun light/sunset, etc. On the day of our wedding everything was falling apart and I 100% believe that I (the bride) would have not made it through the day without our photographer. Furthermore, everyone during and after the wedding have commented on how impressed they were with Kelly, even going out of their way to tell us specifically at the reception! All of the phone calls I have received post-wedding for Kelly's contact info from our guests speaks volumes to me. I will continue to use Kelly for all of our photog needs.

I hired a photographer for my daughter's first birthday party because I wanted everyone to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the party without worrying about trying to capture every precious moment on their phones or cameras. Kelly was absolutely perfect and just what I was looking for for this special day. She captured every moment perfectly and was able to capture so many little details that I didn't see!

Kelly Embry Photography is wonderful – I could not have asked for a better photographer experience! Shortly after booking Kelly for our engagement photos, I broke my foot and spent the next 5 months in a walking boot. She was extremely flexible in scheduling (and rescheduling) our session while I was healing. When it came time to send Save the Date announcements to our wedding guests, I still wasn’t up and moving. Kelly generously agreed to split our 3 hour session into a 30 minute shoot to capture an image for the announcements (of us sitting, of course!) and save the remaining 2.5 hours for later in the year when I was able to stand, walk, and move around. I was so impressed by her continued patience and willingness to make the 3 hour session work for all our needs: getting announcements in the mail on time as well as capturing more active and fun shots that we can cherish forever. This alone would make me recommend Kelly again and again, but when I got the images.. Just wow! Kelly captured some of the most candid and beautiful moments between my fiancé and I. The pictures truly reflected “us” – Kelly knew what we wanted and delivered beautifully! She’s also not afraid to try something new, like putting a girl with a broken foot up into a tree :) I cannot say enough positive things about the way Kelly conducts her business and executes her craft. She’s a rare find and I strongly recommend others to use her for engagement and any other photography services – You won’t be disappointed!

My wedding photos are so beautiful! Everyone is blown away with how they turned out, I can't stop showing them off! Kelly was great, and very quick to answer all of the questions I had along the way! I will definitely be recommending her to friends and family!

Kelly responded quickly to my first call, she met with me on my terms to discuss what my needs/wishes were in shooting the wedding, her sample pictures were beautiful, artistic and captured the essence of what I wanted in our wedding pictures. On the wedding day she was there early to set up and get a feel for the layout/itinerary for the ceremony and reception. I found Kelly to be very professional, experienced, has a good eye for picture composition, she has all the right equipment with back up cameras and batteries, just in case! The final pictures were "amazing" and captured the emotion and beauty of our wedding day!
