Built in 1930 to replace the original barn lost to fire, The Brick Barn has been the soul of our farm for generations. It has sheltered dairy cows, sturdy workhorses, and more than a few mischievous farm kittens over the years.

What started as a simple restoration project quickly became James’s passion—a labor of love dedicated to preserving his family’s legacy and a slice of Iowa’s farming heritage, even as the city edges closer. Every brick, beam, and board holds a story, lovingly restored to honor the past while welcoming the future.

Our family has poured our hearts into this space, and the stunning renovation was designed by our talented son-in-law, Eric Wessels.

Step into the loft, where elegant chandeliers cast a warm glow against rustic brick walls and an exposed tin roof, creating a romantic and unforgettable atmosphere.
